Amazing place to stay”
We honestly couldn’t have loved our stay here any more. The hotel looks amazing and is spotless. We stayed in one of the duplex rooms which was huge, and we thought this was great value for money when you see what you actually get. The pool areas are proper sun traps and a great place to order a few drinks while you soak up some sun. The real highlight of this hotel is the staff. They honestly can’t do enough for you and are so friendly. The quality of the food in the restaurant is very good, and the prices for everything will surprise you at how reasonable they are for what feels like a 5 star resort hotel. Definitely consider staying here! We will definitely be back at some point.

Superb hotel & Excellent management & attentive staff”
Good location in quiet part at the bottom of beach road. The manager there was fabulous, we loved his personal interaction with all guests & Kolvin, the waiter made our Stay very memorable. They welcomed our children & went above & beyond expectations. The food was outstanding here & the hotel cleanliness was impeccable! I saw the manager regularly checking up on the facilities everyday. Would highly recommend this hotel to friends & family. Thank you for looking after us so well. The musicians on our last night were brilliant. Thank you also to Ravi the area manager who also spent time talking to guests. The gym was great, pool perfect for the kids & the rock pool on the beach was spot on. This hotel is far better than any large chain hotel!

AMAZING!!!”
We spent 3 nights here over New Years. From the moment we arrived till we left we were treated like a Queen & King. Everyone was so friendly and made us feel so welcome and important. Special mention to the entertainment manager, Silva who went above and beyond for us and who we now call a friend, from dinner on the beach to greeting us each morning in the gym he was a delight. Food was so good, buffet breakfast and dinner, beautiful setting.

Fantastic stay!”
As parents with a child under one we were looking for a good hotel base and this hotel delivered! Staff were amazing, they provided some extra touches for my wife’s birthday which made the day just that bit more special. Pools with view and drinks/food service. Rooftop at sunset we did almost every day, incredible! Food was quite good and our room was great size which was important with the additional cot. Location was walking distance to Unawatuna, tuk tuk to Galle and Marissa. Thanks so much to Sydney and all the staff who made it such a great stay.

Amazing staff ”
We were looked after and treated very well by all the staff - Chandana and the team. Everyone was so kind, polite, responsive to our requests and sometimes, was kind enough to attend our needs proactively and thoughtfully. We were given a nice sea view+rock pool view spacious room. Loved the view. Many thanks once again for the amazing staff.....you'll were the highlight of our stay.

Amazing hotel”
Had a great time, the staff are very welcoming and attentive. The hotel's design is very modern and beautyful, above our expectations from a Sri lanken hotel. Has 2 amazing pools (incl. Infinity pool). The only down size is location- it is not located on the main beach (its next to the sea but where theres rocks). But theres free shuttle services all day to the main beach. Really recommended

Very nice hotel with good location and great facilities. Staff is very friendly and always helpful especially Kolvin who was our main server during our stay (always professional, positive and attentive, he provided for us definitely outstanding service). Delicious breakfast with very big choice of food. Nice variety of meals in a la cart menu. Great swimming pools and 24h access to sports bar. Definitely received.

Bad place to travel with very bad privacy”
Staff is very poor. Promised half board for the price of BB until i made the booking. Parking is very bad. Disturbed me so many times to remove my car, person who comes to the room knocks over 50 times.(super annoying) Security officer has very bad attitude when a few of my friends came to the car park, they left without even entering the hotel for a drink. The rooms have a very poor view. Nothing like the pics. Pool tastes salty

A nice hotel, perfect for couples”
We were there for 2 nights and we could have definitely stayed longer. Being a young couple, we wanted to get away somewhere with a perfect view but wanted an area which had a good nightlife too. Thaproban Pavilion Resort was perfect for this. It is a small hotel with only a few rooms, it meant that at times we were able to have the swimming pool all to ourselves. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was tasty (however, at times they did not always have the items on the menu). The rooms were very clean and the hotel was very well maintained. Even though it is in a backpacker area, it is tucked away at the end of the road which means it doesnt get too wild at night times. It would be good if the hotel had a bar but as the beach bars were so close, this was not too much of a problem. The only downside of our stay would be that when we returned back from a night out there seemed to be some ritual going on, to which staff members were outside our room 'praying' - which didn't sound too good in the middle of the night! We asked the next day and it was a rememberance for the people who were killed by the Tsunami, I think a bit of advance warning would have been good! But on the whole, it was a lovely hotel, peaceful and quite. I recommend the upstairs room as the view of the ocean is much better than just the pool view! A must visit hotel!

Time after time”
This was my 3rd stay in 3 years at Thaproban Pavilion and expectations were met and exceeded once again. My favourite hotel in all of Sri Lanka, the staff are very courteous, polite and friendly - they remembered me from my previous trips which is always a nice feeling. The rooms are always clean, comfortable and well presented and the location is just away from the main stretch of Unawatuna, so you're in your own little haven but can walk just a few minutes into town and to the main beach. I can't recommend this place highly enough and it is fantastic value for money.

Thaproban Pavilion Resort & Spa is brilliant. The view from our room overlooked the pool and the sea. There were two swimming pools we spent most of our time in. The resort has a nicely stocked bar and a great restaurant with amazing breakfast and lunch. The spa has a good collection of massage therapies. The staff was friendly and helpful. Beaches in the neighborhood were just a tuk tuk ride away. The resort is peaceful and far away from the chaos. A great getaway for the family as well as for couples or friends.

Our family of 5 LOVED our stay at Thaproban Pavilion resort and spa. Even though it rained two of the days we were there, we enjoyed the hotel, took a walk in the light rain, and loved seeing Sri Lanka whilst staying here. The room was spacious and comfortable, the food excellent, and the staff could not have been more friendly or accommodating. The outdoor spaces were beautiful and comfortable. The perfect place to relax and snap some pictures! Highly recommend!

The hotel was absolutely fantastic. Our room (Beach Pavilion room number 101) was amazing, huge comfy bed amazing balcony and views, very spacious with comfy sofa and good tv and dining table. 100 rupees (about £0.50p) takes you to unawatuna beach a great resort. Its not far to walk but with sri lanka wild life we decided to take a tuk tuk at night. We missed the seafood buffet night but were told the food was amazing and great entertainment. The Staff were very friendly and professional we were truly very happy here on our honeymoon.
