Stunning location and beautiful staff”
What a beautiful hotel! My daughter and I stayed here for 7 fantastic nights in a beachfront bungalow which was wonderfully clean with a large open bathroom. Lovely gardens and pool area with plenty of lounge chairs overlooking the horizon (rather than circling the pool as in many resorts). We enjoyed many stunning sunsets, while often watching the chef and locals fish in front of the resort. Make sure you try the prawns with crystal mayonaise before you leave.. WOW! Super friendly and helpful bar/restaraunt staff. Breakfasts were the best we had across Bali and Lombok - I even liked the local coffee served here so much that I brought 2kg home with me!! Staff were exceptionally helpful in arranging everything from day tour adventures, to hiring cars and snorkels. We were very happy with the people they put us in contact with and the prices of activities arranged. Set in a stunning part of the world, we couln't have chosen a better location to base ourselves and explore Lombok. The hotel is slightly north of Senggigi and not really within walking distance, however the hotel will happily transport you, or you could hire a car like we did for appx $14USD per day. This location is highly recommended for those looking for a little privacy (and romance!). An exceptional hotel that we would most certainly return to. Thanks for a great stay Alang Alang

Exceptional location and utmost friendly staff”
We were given warm welcome in Alang Alang and were directed to our Ocean view Bungalow without waiting for a minute. The bungalow was breathtaking, right in front of Ocean, besides lush green garden. We felt very close to the nature during our 3 nights stay in Alang Alang i.e. Quiet atmosphere, Ocean waves , birds chirping, lush green surrounding, breathtaking sunset; what else you want if you are on a relaxing holiday! There are number of features because of which we completely fall in love with this resort, 1st being the most friendly staff either its front desk or restaurant we always found them with a big smile and ready to help, 2ndly quality of food especially Balinese breakfast, thirdly swimming pool facing towards ocean, 4th the serenity offered by the location of the hotel. Also during our stay, my wife slipped from Rocks in front of Hotel beach and got her hand injured however the way hotel staff provided the 1st aid/ Bandage was something which you`ll not found in other hotels. The staff was very helpful and expert in dealing with such incidence. 2 thumbs up for the owner of the hotel as well as the friendliest staff! Will sure come back to Alang Alang in future

Simply Memorable!”
As arrival at the boutique hotel was well after nightfall, it was only on daybreak that it became obvious as to what a gorgeous property Alang-Alang is. With breakfast being part of the hotel rate and being served up to 11 am, mornings can be enjoyed at a leisurely pace. The restaurant would even send the food to the bungalow if one wished to enjoy one's meal while sitting at the bungalow's verandah. A slight point of discontent is the lack of local dishes in the restaurant menu, going local during mealtimes being vey much part of my travel philosophy. But for travellers from other countries who would prefer an international menu, the menu at Alang-Alang would probably be considered pretty good. The hotel staff was always helpful with any request that i may have had and gave very good recommendations on, inter alia, places to visit and local 'must-have' dishes. The staff also helped in linking me up with a good sea kayaking operator when i indicated that this was an activity in my 'to-do' list. While the hotel may have been somewhat a distance (if one chose to walk) to the Senggigi area, this was more than addressed by the excellent Bluebird taxi service. But a complaint this is not as the relative seclusion of the hotel is also very much one of its positive points

Lovely place to have some quite relax”
Great place to have some quite relax. Bungalows are awesome, especially open ceiling bathroom. Be sure to book beach front bungalow as watching sunset from your own terrace is exceptional. Proper breakfast is served at beach side or you can have it at your room. Rooms are very clean and done daily. You will get selection of tea and coffee to do yourself as well as two bottles of water for free. Meals at restaurant are great and not that expensive. Anyways, a bit exploring and trying other food places around Senggigi is value for it self. There is Coco beach restaurant some 10 min walk from Alang Alang we would definitively recommend as well. Beach itself is not really one of those you can enjoy in full as most of that coast is accompanied by strip of rocks and reef. Waves are to be taken into consideration as well. But on the other side there is lovely resort lawn with beach chairs in between coconut trees you can enjoy all day long, especially as there is beach bar and swimming pool. Stuff is really friendly and helpful. Definitively value for the money if you are looking for this kind of vacation.

A Fantastic 'Get Away' Hotel”
Alang Alang had been recommended as a secluded 'Get away' that provided all the staples and a number of luxuries thus removing any need to leave the premises, unless one wished to do so. My bungalow was well appointed, spacious and with a beautiful Bali bathroom. The bungalow was in close proximity to the lawns, beach, restaraunt and swimming pool. The staff were all very helpful and also friendly. The food and drinks were excellent and reasonably priced, as was the bar service. It was very refreshing, totally relaxing and restful to take advantage of the sun-lounges each day and read, or drift off to the gentle sounds of the ocean and the changing tides. If one desired, it was easy to arrange tours and/or travel and one could walk, or run for exercise in either direction from the hotel. Those who are more adventurous can arrange adventure activities through the Reception area. I would stay at Alang alang again and recommend it to friends, family and single travellers. It is a fair way out of Sengiggi but Taxi's are available and very reasonably priced.

Fantastic hotel on a beatiful clean beach”
Firstly we booked this hotel for 4 nights but because of the amazing location, we extended on 7. If you're looking for a quiet place, this is the place you have to go to. There is an excellent clean beach, beautiful quiet ambience in a tropical garden, many bungalows have sea view, which we had also and we couldn't be happier. Staff is always very nice, smiling and helpful, we recommend the main bartender who helped us with arranging a trip for a very reasonable price. Food in the restaurant is very tasty, for breakfast you have many choices from the classical continental to the indonesian one. We were very satisfied with the service. Also the room service cleaning is excellent, besides the actual cleaning, you feel very comfortable - with such a lovely way they put flowers on your bed. Hotel is situated in the corner of the beach which is the best location ever. There are not any sellers (not like on the rest of the beach), so have a total privacy. We were looking for a place to swim - is not that easy to find this place, it's always for diving or there is not enough of water. Beach near the Alang Alang is perfect for swimming in every day hour. We highly recommend this hotel as one of the best hotel we stayed EVER !

The paradise on Earth!”
We really enjoyed our stay in The Alang Alang Beach Resort Lombok. I would love to go back there again. The place is only 5-10 min by taxi from Sengigi and I enjoyed this quieter place. I loved the beach from there. At night, we could see the beautiful sunset & stars in the sky. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was really clean and decorated with pretty flowers, they cleaned our room really well while we were out to breakfast. We stayed 2 nights there, relaxed in the beach, pool and visited Sengigi for lunch/massage. It was wonderful stay.

Stylish room within earshot of the sea”
I really liked the Alang Alang beach resort. The best thing about it is that all the bungalows are very close to the sea, to the point where you can hear the sea as you lie in bed. The rooms are stylish and comfortable. The bathroom is partly exposed to the elements, which is interesting and the bed was comfortable with a mosquito net as a welcome touch. The food in the restaurant was fairly good, breakfast is a set option rather than a buffet but of high quality. The hotel is beside a rocky cove rather than a beach as such and the hotel is a fair way from the centre of Senggigi, which could be a problem for a long stay but it's ideal for a one night stopover between the airport and the Gili islands.

Sunsets and Squash”
We live in Jakarta and have had our share of adventures in Indonesia. This time, we were joined by my parents from U.S. They wanted a beach experience and none of us having ever been to Lombok, we decided to have another adventure. Okay, so you can't really call staying at the Alang-Alang an adventure due it's modern conveniences, immaculate rooms, relaxed atmosphere and attentive staff. It's really difficult to come up with anything against our stay. The in-hotel restaurant served an okay mix of Indonesian and Western dishes. The lime squash drinks were the best part of those items on the menu we experienced. Beyond the hotel, we were close to an array of fantastic cuisine ranging from Coco Beach's organic Indonesian food to Cafe Alberto's wood-fire oven pizza, both practically on the beach. The hotel's beach is more propped up on a retaining wall but you can still fall asleep warmed by the setting sun with sounds of the waves in your ears. Even still, it is an easy walk to Senggigi Beach should you want to stroll with the waves licking your ankles. There are plenty of salespersons roaming the beach should you want to purchase souvenirs. If you can haggle, you can get merchandise for cheaper than you would find at any of the stores selling the same items. Overall, we loved our experience and would recommend this to folks looking to rest and enjoy a quiet stay in Lombok amidst comfort and warm hospitality.

Very nice, quiet hotel with excellent breakfast”
At first it seemed so odd to us, because there were almost no other guests, but soon we started to enjoy the quietness and beauty of the place. Bungalows lay at the beginning of very nice beach and have beautiful view of the sunset. If you like snorkeling, there are many fishes and corals right in front of the hotel (50 to 100m from the beach), or you can just lay on the sunbeds under the palms. Alang Alang Beach Resort is just a short drive (1,5 USD)from Senggigi.

What a great place”
We stayed at the Alang Alang for 11 nights, and loved every minute of it. It's a small place in terms of the number of rooms, but it's spread out over a large area, so it feels like there are few other people there. The rooms are fine, would certainly recommend the beach front ones. We stayed in a bungalow behind these, but I would pay extra for a beach front one when we go back...and we will! The staff are just really nice people. Couldn't ask for more. The resort is a five minute drive from Senggigi, and taxis are available at any time. cost is about 12,000Rp one way

Relaxing and value for money”
We stayed at the Alang Alang for four nights on a vacation week. Generally it was a great place to stay. The rooms were comfortable and large with beautiful bathrooms. The restaurant had great food for lunches and dinners including yummy pizzas and an excellent BBQ night. Drinks were reasonably priced with a good range also. We also sampled some off the restaurants in resorts nearby which allowed us to try something new without the hefty price tags attached to some of these places.The are is also very beautiful if you go walking. We walked into Sengegi (about 35 mins) but you could also easily get transport. The hotel can arrange day (or longer) courses for diving around the Gilli's too. A highly recommended spot fro a quiet, relaxing break.

Amazing staff Amazing Hotel!”
We spent one night at alang alang before heading off to the gili's and would have gladly stayed longer if we hadnt already booked other accomodation. The location is A bit further out from sengigi but this makes it more relaxing and you don't get hassled as much as on the big beaches. The hotel grounds are well maintained with sun loungers facing the ocean. If you don't feel like dipping in the ocean there is a great sized pool and because the hotel isn't very large there is always lots of room around it to relax. The rooms were spacious with nice big beds and a great outdoor style bathroom. The best part of our stay though had to be the staff, they were always smiling and more then happy to help you this genuine hospitality is what really made this stay stand out compared to other places we have been.

Calm and beautiful beach hotel ”
We had a very nice stay of 3 nights to recharge batteries before heading to the climb of Mount Rinjani. Alang-Alang provides very nice bungalow rooms on the beach with outstanding service at all level. Small touch add to your stay such as flowers on the freshly made bed and the copious breakfast. The beach provides good swimming and snorkeling but you need to be aware of the rocks. Overall a very nice hotel for a higher end stay in Lombok.

Awesome hotel and service with a smile”
stayed at alang alang for 4 nights, and wish i could have stayed longer! the rooms were very spacious and spotless. the staff were super friendly and very attentive...we didn't want for anything. the location couldn't have been better. the view from our room was just magic. this was my first time in lombok and i will definitely stay at alang alang again and would definitely recommend it anyone wanting a quiet, relaxing holiday in a stunning location.

GREAT STAY”
We found the accommodation attractive, very clean, well maintained, set amongst well landscaped gardens with our own private sunbeds and veranda overlooking the sea towards Bali. The staff were lovely and very attentive, nothing was too much bother. Lack of beach did not hinder our enjoyment of Alang Alang. Their inviting swimming pool although quite small was adequate for the number of guests staying here. We found it useful having an onsite tourist office. Many thanks to all at Alang Alang for a wonderful stay.

Great location and wonderful staff”
we had a wonderful 2 days at the alang alang and wished we could have stayed another week. the beachfront bungalow was fabulous, clean and comfortable with all the features you could want (international tv, free wifi etc. ) and lovely little touches from the staff like flowers on the beds. great outdoor bathroom although the floor did get a little wet from no protection around the shower. the beachfront bar and restuarant were great with friendly, helpful, efficient staff and the pool was to die for! the waterfall and hidden spa was a great hit. the resort was peaceful and quiet and no hassles from anyone - a very pleasant change from bali. we will be back!

Quiet and friendly - beautiful beachfront”
I recently stayed at Alang Alang Beach resort and found it to be a very relaxing place with friendly helpful staff. The beachfront garden is extensive and beautiful especially compared to other beachfront hotels which are upmarket and crowded. I wanted to relax and found Alang Alang perfect for that with a beautiful pool and swimming and snorkelling straight off the beach. it is a little run down and the rooms are dark but the windows are tinted for the afternoon sun and by opening windows and doors the sun and breeze streams in. Its the perfect antedote to the madness of Bali.

Quiet hotel perfect for couples”
Booked the most basic room through Agoda and we were given a room with ocean view! Alang Alang also has a nice pool and every time we went outside it felt like we were the only ones there. Definitely recommend for couples or people who just want to relax in their resort, because there wasn't much to do nearby. All the beaches outside had sand and were filled with trash, but the front desk helped us rent a scooter for $5 a day and we had a lot of fun riding it around!

I loved it al Alang Alang, pure Heaven.”
My husband & I travelled with 4 children aged 16, 15, 13, 11. We stayed at Alang Alang for 1 week. My husband and I would go into Singiggi for dinner and the children would ask to stay at the resort. They loved the staff in the resturant and bar. They made them feel very welcomed and safe. We also felt it was fine to leave them. They would order their dinner, have a chat, then go back to the room. I loved being able to lay on my bed in the room and see the Ocean. This is one of the nicest resort's i have ever stayed at. I am planning my next trip there. Cant wait to get back there.
