The Argent Motel provides everything a traveller requires like, having the A/C on before you arrive, milk & bottled water in the fridge, a full compliment of toiletries (not just soap), 3 sets of crockery & cutlery, a microwave & fridge. Would highly recommend.

Straightforward digs”
This is a well priced motel with adequate facilities in a great position within the town of Broken Hill. The reception is remote from the units, but accessing the room key is easy. The staff are very helpful and pleasant. Bed was a bit soft, but the room was clean.

Clean Budget hotel, ”
We arrived on a 42-degree day; the room was nice and cool and remained cool during the three days of high temperatures, and the furnishings are older but well maintained and looked after. The hotel was central to town, with straightforward access and a large parking area. Beds where comfitable and the hotel was quiet.

Simple, clean and convenient ”
The Argent motel is at the end of the main strip, but it is a very pleasant 15min walk to the main action. The rooms are old, but clean. It's a good base for a three/four door stay to explore beautiful Broken Hill.

The room was booked under the impression it was dog friendly.”
After no one being on reception when I arrived I called the number. The lady said sorry I am just across the road checking on my daughter. She arrived in 5 min. I checked into my room approx 4 pm. At 7 pm I had a loud knock at my door. I opened the door and the reception lady was talking very loud at the fact I had a dog in the room. I said I thought it was a dog friendly hotel. She continued to talk loudly and said if her manager sees this there will be trouble. Again I said it was booked with the understanding it was pet friendly. I offered to leave. She then said I can put u in the correct room. She continued to rant saying now she has to clean the room. I again offered to leave. She then said I am sick of these web sites it happens all the time. Other customers even came out of there room due to her ranting. I do not see why I was verbally abused over something that was not my error. After 9 hours drive i don’t think I deserved this. I did stay in the other room as I had choice.

they do not serve breakfast at all there. The room had cobwebs aeounr the cornice. Th mirror in the room wa not clean and I do not think it has been cleaned for quite awhile. The mattress was not really up to scratch.

Great place to stay in Broken Hill, we could walk all around the town, to the galleries, museums, street walks history and very close to the information centre. We stayed 4 nights, outer room had a microwave, toaster and all other needs, so we could self cater. Excellent.

Comfortable and affordable”
The price with Agoda was significantly cheaper than other sites. For a comparable price the options were very small or with no facilities. It appeared that the person "manning" the desk was not the owner, possibly a part time employee. He gave no information about the property or area. He was polite and checked us in quickly. The only thing that I felt was disappointing was the lack of a hairdryer. Given we were travelling through and it was just an overnight stay we didn't want to spend too much and the Argent Motel met our needs.

Remember your in broken hill,this motel was adaquate,walk to cafes & some shops,walk to palace hotel & the demo club,musicians club,train station,taxi,some museums & some galleries. Staff very pleasant & helpful. Decore is disgraceful,needs a big upgrade

The motel changed ownership the day of our stay. Didn't affect anything. The reception was very pleasant and helpful. The room was exceptionally clean. The location is close to places to eat and close to shops. Wi fi internet needs to be improved for rooms in the corner where we were. Decor is a little dated but well kept.

Expected a bit more”
The location is great right on the main street, and the staff were generally friendly, though at one point I inadvertantly inconvenienced the manager and she was quite abrupt with me for a day or two afterwards. I was made to feel bad about booking through a website and not directly with the hotel even though it is cheaper this way. The Wi-Fi was dodgy at best which actually had a great impact on what I was trying to do during my stay. The place was clean however, there was a distinct lack of crockery (there was a toaster but no plates or knives) but there was a bar fridge which was handy. If you have pets this is the only place to go, and I didn't hate it, but I expected more.

Super convenient and the manager was extremely friendly”
I can't fault this hotel particularly, though the wifi was erratic. It was clean and the room was cleaned regularly. There was a toaster, a kettle and a TV in the room, and four cups and saucers and three spoons, but that was all the crockery or cutlery. They did provide a couple of little packets of biscuits. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of pillows. The air conditioner was amazing.

Excellent clean tidy and very comfortable”
very clean tidy rooms with lot's of space for the travel cot as we had a 5 month old baby with us. backpackers were staying next door to us and were running a muck however this was handled well by the owners and they made them clean up after themselves very early the next morning. (they had vomited several times outside their room as well as a couple of other rooms.)

Lovely clean room. All essentials you would expect. There was a mix up with my room and they fixed it quickly and easily. I ended up with a better room than I originally booked. It was an easy, quick fix and the lady was absolutely lovely. Very close to town. Close enough to the airport that a taxi is under $20 Ideal if you are without a vehicle.

Great value for money. Bed was comfortable, room was a decent size, it was quiet and best of all the shower had amazing pressure! Only slight downfall was that there was no washing machines for guests to use, however the lady did offer to put it through the industrial washer for me.
