Delightful Surprise”
Glorious old bank building with charm and ambience. Beautiful architecture and furnishings. Very comfy bed and spotlessly clean rooms. Sitting in the stunning parlour reading books from the well stocked library with the heater keeping us warm felt wonderful. Breakfast the next morning was delicious. Couldn’t fault the staff who were so pleasant and obliging. Wingham itself was incredibly quaint and interesting town with many historical buildings, cute shops, river park and a visit to Wingham Brush is a must. Highly recommend The Bank Guest House!

Beautiful heritage building, very comfortable stay”
had a lovely night here in the adjoinng family rooms. it was a very wet and cold day and wingham doesn't have a huge amount to offer those who usually while away the afternoon at the park with their kids! however we must highly recommend bent on food, a fantastic little coffee shop which serves delicious coffee and enormous freshly baked scones, yum yum!! the guesthouse was well appointed and our host was very thoughtful and even did an emergency wash for us at no extra charge (teddy copped it en route). the breakfast was most delicious and provided at a time to suit us which was wonderful as we were leaving early. highly recommend the bank as an alternative rest stop to hotels in taree.

Surprisingly Good”
We had the garden room, surrounded by fragrant flowers with a great little terrace. The place is lovely and wonderful fresh breakfast too. Wingham has a lot to visit, so this Hotel is a very recommended destination for a stopover or weekend getaway. Thank you Djon.

Beautiful building, but no staff”
The Bank Guesthouse is a gorgeous building that has been very well maintained. The rooms were very clean and the amenities in the room were great. Location also excellent. However, it’s very expensive for what it is, the kitchen was closed without a chef, there was no staff based at the hotel at all, and the property agent was not contactable over the weekend when we were there. This caused difficulties when some in our group were locked out of their room and we couldn’t use one of the breakfast vouchers provided in lieu of the hotel’s kitchen being open. I even ended up showing some other guests to their room and explaining the breakfast situation since they couldn’t contact the agent! Overall, a beautiful place, but needs a lower price and some actual staff.

Fantastic room & great food”
My wife & I could only spend one night at The Bank House B&B but we would have loved to stay longer as the Garden Room was excellent & the meals were awesome. We would stay there again & we would highly recommend it.

Great little B&B”
We had a lovely stay at the Bank. The hotel is lovely and very friendly. Rooms were large and comfortable. The only downside was how long breakfast took in the morning (it took over an hour one day and about 30 mins the next day). But very tasty when it did eventually arrive.

Very professional, welcoming and friendly staff and ”
We stayed for one night on our way down from Qld back to Sydney. Coco and Sophie were very warm and welcoming, professional and generous and we could tell that they loved what they do. The quality of the breakfast and service was excellent and the cleanliness and attention to detail did not go unnoticed. The boutique hotel had charm and character.

First impressions-I liked the garden room with its own deck.”
The bar fridge freezer section had not been defrosted and I was unable to shut the fridge door. I contacted Julie and she offered me a room upstairs, on inspection I saw that the upstairs bathroom had the shower over the bath, which was not suitable for me. I opted to stay in the garden room and defrosted the fridge over a couple of hours. I noticed that the bedside table legs had not been dusted. Early the next morning I was about to wash my hair and discovered that there was no hairdryer! On the plus side the bed was very comfortable, although the blankets were heavy, no doon as these days. The aircon worked well. The shower and bathroom in general was nice. I liked the Lindt chocolates left on the pillows. I was also disappointed that breakfast could not be provided however I was given a voucher for a cafe on Isabella St. I had been looking forward to breakfast at The Bank. I found out the next day that the new owners were taking over on the weekend, so I wish them well.

Made a booking at the last minute. Suited my needs to a tee. Dog friendly. Well priced for facilities and time of year. While the owners weren't on site, they were available and helpful when I needed them. Good complimentary brekky.

What a way to stay in a bank.”
This old bank has been converted into a very comfortable guesthouse. The room was spacious enough with a very soft bed, ensuite and cooling. Located on the first floor it was quiet with views over the park opposite. The Bank Guesthouse is in easy walking distance from many eateries, one bing the Services Club which has good meals. The breakfast provided was delicious and the staff friendly. Overall a great place to stay if you are in or passing through Taree.
