For all the delightful points, will pay to stay again: 1. I requested for early check in as I had to check out early the next day. The Barracks called me prior to the stay to inform me of the time for early check in but because I missed their call, they dropped me a text with the necessary information. I had further questions and they responded very promptly over WhatsApp. 2. The first contact point upon stepping into The Barracks was a friendly and well groomed lady who was ready to serve. 3. At the reception, staff was friendly, helpful and all smiles. 4. Room was decorated with 3 helium balloons, towel cakes and a card for my birthday celebration. I was tempted to take the towel cake home 😆 The TV remote control was wrapped, for hygiene reasons I suppose - which was a good gesture! 5. Room was clean, amenities sufficient. Housekeeping dropped by proactively to ask if we needed more things. 6. They surprised me with a cake, not unusual of hotels but the difference was - the cake received was a whole cake instead of the usual slice. 7. Evening cocktail at The Living Room was cozy and served with canapés. 8. Breakfast at The Living Room was sumptuous and we loved it! 9. Service staff was proactive and anticipated we needed assistance. If I must nitpick, no knife/forks came along with the cake and canapés can be yummier. But these are negligible given the very good service received. Looking forward to celebrating my toddler’s birthday at The Barracks!

Relaxing stay”
Was an exceptional and relaxing stay. The room is very clean and the food is awesome, be it whether it’s breakfast, afternoon canapé or in room dining, the food was just good. Having a room whereby it leads to the pool is also a plus, whereby we could just access the pool whenever we like. The staff were courteous and helpful, hence all in all, I hope that I could return again and the service standards stays the same or are even better!!

This post is made Upon reaching, the door uncle at the carpark greets knows you by name because he has a list of the people checking in for the day. At the reception, we were offered welcome drink of infused soda water grapefruit tea (their specialty concoction) and cold towel to freshen up (which reminded me of cold towels on Singapore Airlines). We were brought to our room and had a tour of it by the check in staff. In room facilities are impeccable. You have toilet seats that reminds you of Japan (because only in Japan have those kind or smart, warming, bidet washing kinda toilet), a standalone bathtub which is slightly bigger than average. Bronze-y finishings for the toilet gave that collonial rustic look, smart TV that allows you to check out from the TV (and you can bring the key card home as souvenir) and fully complete with iron, full use of the things in the fridge except for alcoholic drinks of course and Nescafe capsule pods (which unfortunately we are not coffee drinkers). We were surprised by the complimentary cocktail sessions and evening canapé. Shout out to Mervin, one more check in staff I forgot his name but starts with J and he has injected zest and uplift the spirits upon our check in, Tomo, Suram and Trisya for looking after us throughout our 2 days stay. In fact, the staff at Living Room too who were attentive to our needs.

Above and Beyond Expectations”
My wife and I had booked the hotel for a 2 night stay on our wedding day. From the moment we stepped into the Lobby to when we left, we were showered with sincerity and care from all the staff, from reception to house keeping. Everyone we interacted with was exceedingly polite and genuinely friendly and went out of their way to make our experience unforgettable. The entire place was well maintained and there was no sight of any aging even though the place had been opened for about a year. While the furnishing was tastefully vintage, the amenities were state of the art - from the Marshall Bluetooth Speakers, the television which multiple connectivity options (e.g. Miracast, Chromecast etc), to the smart toilet bowls often found in Japan. The Barracks Hotel gave us a sense of community and privacy at the same time. We loved spending our time at the cozy Living Room during Breakfasts and the Evening Cocktails, and having our own quiet space at the pool side of balcony to relax.

Beautiful & charming colonial building in a lovely tucked away spot, makes u feel away from Singapore. Perfect for a staycation. Staff were very friendly and accomodating. Rooms were tastefully decorated with everything you could need. The location is ideal as gives u the feeling of isolation, but within minutes of all amenities. Will definitely be back again.

Our stay experience was fantastic and unforgettable. Though is was only for a night, we were well attended to the moment we entered the car park till we checked out the next day. The environment was peaceful, relaxing and cosy the moment we stepped in. Most of all, the staff was fabulous and that was main reason for our perfect staycation. Special thanks to Mr Firdeus Rahmat, who change our room to a bigger one, after noting that we have 2 kids with us. Gorgeous boutique hotel”
Stayed at the Barracks Hotel during the Phase 2 Heightened Alert period. Even though we were not allowed to dine in (food was delivered to our room), it was still an amazing stay. The property is quaint and gorgeous. Love the pool — I think that's definitely the highlight of my stay. Staff was also super attentive and friendly. Would definitely stay here again!

Quiet oasis, top notch service”
Delivers as a luxury hotel. Quiet, hardly anyone in the pool, maybe bec we came on weekdays. All day refreshments, with breakfast and early evening canapés, u don't need to step out. Just enjoy the hotel. Thank you Winston and Mr Khor for the 1.5hr Barracks history tour and talk. Service here is sincere and warm, staff is always ready to render help and chat - JunSheng, Emily, 2 other gentlemen at the lounge, and Chinese House keeping lady for the small touches in the room eg tidying up our mobile cables.
