Good value great hotel”
This hotel is less expensive then most other nice hotels around Tampa. There are hidden costs though, parking is extra cost per day also there is no provided breakfast. The restaurant is on premise, food was good at a reasonable cost. The available van is a big plus. They will take you and pick you up within a specific radius of the hotel. Drivers are knowledgeable of places to go. For me, it is a, will stay again hotel in Tampa

Great value for the location I needed!”
My boyfriend and I were in Tampa for the night to see a comedy show at the Straz which was right across the street! We were able to walk and not pay for parking to go to the show. Staff was very friendly, our room was very clean with a great view of the river walk! This will definitely be our top choice whenever we need to stay the night in Tampa again!

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel so much. The staff was so friendly & helpful. The hotel being located so near to so many things was a plus. I’m glad I didn’t rent a car because the shuttle people were the best. Took us to every place we needed to go, made great suggestions for eating & other functions. If I ever come to Tampa again, I will stay here if at all possible!

Best Value in Downtown Tampa”
While this is not the newest or nicest hotel in the downtown Tampa core, it is the best in terms of nightly rate, perfect location, low parking fee and pretty nice rooms with a tasty on site restaurant. I have stayed here in the past and since then improvements have been made (and more are planned - need new quieter AC in restaurant) yet the rate remains low. I will stay here again in the future.

great hotel for a night before a cruise”
we stayed here for 1 night before a cruise out of tampa and it was great for the price. included was a free transportation ride to the cruise port and the room was very clean. only downside is its $10 to park, considering we only needed to park for about 15 mins while unloading our rental car before returning it, I felt it was an unneeded charge. But the free transport made up for it.

Good option to larger chains”
The Barrymore Hotel was a great option to the larger chain hotel in the area. The staff was attentive. The bartender made an exceptional daiquiri that was fresh--he used freshly squeezed limes--no syrupy concoctions. Free coffee in the morning from local roasters, Buddy Brew, was a big plus. The fitness center was woefully small for a hotel it's size.

We we're attending an event a the Straz. The Barrymore is directly across the street! No driving required. For the price of the hotel I would of expected the parking to be part, but no. However, $10 won't break the bank.

The hotel staff were always very helpful and the property was always maintained to a high degree of cleanliness. This hotel also has a wonderful bar and grill located opposite the lobby. The atmosphere at the bar is always friendly and all of the bartenders are very accommadating. I personally would like to thank Wes, Shelby, Pete, Sean, Chloe, Julie, Ranfi, Gabriella and Matt for such an amazing experience, all of you are such an amazing credit to the establishment and I look forward to the day I can return! Great Staff”
i would recommend this hotel because of value, location and great staff. They were very accommodating for an early check in. They provided shuttle from cruise port to hotel, hotel to airport and they even shuttled me to a local CVS to pick up some items. The restaurant downstairs was very good and walking distance to other restaurants on the riverwalk.

The hotel's location is really nearby the city center, the room is clean with good river views to see. The bed is comfortable. But room is a bit small and old. Especially, the space of bathroom is very very narrow, it is inconvenient to use it.

3 star hotel with 4 star service!”
While the rooms seem recently refreshed the state of the facilities beg to question the age of the building and whether a renovation rather than refresh is necessary. During our stay we had the entire buildings phone systems go offline, the buildings water get shut off, and a shower that refused to drain. The night manager, 3rd shift front desk agent, and every other employee of the hotel we interacted with, however provided absolutely stellar service. I have already booked my return trip.

This is an older hotel, but it has been re-done nicely. The bathroom and shower were very nice, the views were great, and the room was modern and clean. Overall, I was very happy here.

It's proximity to the Straz Performing Arts Center/Patel Conservatory was ideal for us. We also enjoyed easy access to the River Walk, Armature Works, Ulele, and downtown area restaurants.

The location is quite convenient. Not far from River Walk so you can always walk to anywhere around. Staffs are friendly. Hotel room is old but it is clean so it is acceptable. Overall, it was a good stay.

Only negative we found was a 10$ car parking fee (because we had a vehicle that needed to be parked on the premises). We were unaware of this fee until we arrived at the hotel.
