Spacious and clean modern rooms”

Close to MTR station with rooms of a 5 star hotel comfort standard

The hotel was rather easy to find once you past the Wing On building if coming from Hong Kong Airport Express station. It was a bit of a walk as the overhead walkways did not connect directly into the nearby buildings. The staff were professional and polite. I had quite an unpleasant experience as a couple cut my queue to check in as I was waiting for the staff to finish up with another family. The front desk staff promptly attended to me after realising the situation and politely requesting the couple to wait for their turn so that made me quite impressed. Check in (and check out) was efficient. I was pleasantly surprised when I entered the room. It was clean, spacious and very modern. The toilet and shower area was a bit cramped (though just right for solo travellers) but well stocked with clean new towels and amenities. Shades in the room were already drawn down due to the lack of views (hotel location is facing other office buildings) but the lighting and whole feel of the room was like a 5 star hotel. There was also free wifi and an adapter in the room. The hotel is very close to Sheung Wan MTR station, just turn right once you exit through the front doors, turn right at the corner and just 1 block down is exit B of the MTR station. Takes maybe 3 mins to walk there. Train fare to Central MTR station is HKD4 and Causeway Bay is HKD5. However, if you fancy a walk instead, you can take a 15 stroll up to Central (due to the window shopping that I was doing and the lunch crowd at that time) if not it might take only half the time to reach the Central shopping centres/mid-level escalators. Very good value for that price to stay at Hong Kong Island. I will definitely recommend it to other travellers. Also as I booked through Agoda, check in and check out procedure was simple and fast with the voucher. As I was checking out that day, there was another couple who had gone to the bank to draw cash as their overseas credit cards were not accepted

Excellent new hotel in a great location”

Room was perfect, close to transport options

the bauhinia hotel was fantastic! we were able to walk from the macau ferry dock to the hotel at the beginning of our stay and then to hong kong station to catch the airport express at the end of the trip. it's also about 2 minutes away from an mtr station, so transport all over hong kong was super easy. the hotel is new, so everything is spotlessly clean. we were upgraded to an executive room when we got there, and it had everything we needed, from 2 big bottles of complimentary water to free wifi to an ipod dock to in-room safe and more. the bathroom was also quite luxurious with a rain showerhead...again spotlessly clean. it's also quiet in the room at night. the hotel was not cheap, but by hong kong standards, very reasonable. i definitely recommend this hotel.

Hi , i must say this hotel is one of the better hotels i stayed in at hong kong , me and partner arrived early and were told to book bags in and comback to a hotel booking time and we walked and shoped and came back earlier than expected, the Hotel upgraded my room free of charge and the room is the best setout ive had in hong kong and room service is excellent and the hotel is close to MTR and the Trams and the Airport also as is based in central hong kong district , this hotel is at walking distance to all major shopping areas and easy to get to nathan road shops and night markets also and as the MTR is 3 blocks away the Mong kok markets for day and night shopping as is easily and readibly available to get to also , on a whole i would say both me and my partner enjoyed our time and rate this as a 8-9.5 hotel as staff are friendly and helpful and the free meeting internet and computer room is an excellent inclusion and the hotel is not over priced as is a great price for services provide

Convenient location & big room for good price”

There are two entrances, one for the hotel and one for the serviced apartments. They are right next to each other. The hotel lobby just has a service desk and the elevators. Didn't really interact with the staff much except during a friendly and efficient check-in and check-out. It's a good hotel for business travelers. The room was clean and relatively big for HK. I stayed on the 2nd floor and didn't have much of a view (I didn't expect to have one either). It didn't matter as I was out all day everyday and was only in the room late at night. Great location right next to the subway station Shuangwan (上环). It is only one stop to Central & Hong Kong station. It is easier to walk to HongKong subway station from the hotel though over the walkway bridges (the walk between Central and Hong Kong station is really long, almost as long as just walking to Central station directly). There is a Hongkongnese restaurant right next door, which serves both Hongkongese and more western style breakfasts. Just across the road there is also a Starbucks for a quick coffee and breakfast. There are a lot of small restaurants in the neighborhood for dinner.

Good Stay Returning Guest”

We got 2 rooms for our family of 4. Location is good. Between 2 MTR stations 1-2 minute walk, one of which has an elevator (convenience for luggages). Good access to Hong Kong Island areas like Causeway Bay, Wan Chai, Central and Admiralty. Also convenient for travelling to and from Macau as it is near the ferry terminal and can be reached by underground walkway. Staff is more helpful and friendly this time. Check in and check out was fast and efficient. There were some hair at the back of the wash basin and bathroom smelled of bleach/cleaner they used. Smell went away after leaving the airconditioner on for ventilation. Overall would stay again. Thanks Bauhinia Hotel

New hotel, conveniently located, value for money”

Room is bigger than normal 4 stars hotel, clean & comfortable.

the receptionists are very helpful especially the trainee who is still studying in uk, polite and pleasant. when we checked in for the first time, they actually upgraded us to a family side room with one double bed and a single bed for the first 2 nights. they really made my stay very pleasant. even the last night, the side of the superior room is already bigger than normal 4 stars hotel in hong kong. the location is so convenient, very close to mtr station and the ferry to macau is just opposite the hotel. strongly recommended if you are going to make a trip to macau just as we did. the room is very clean and nice and also very quiet as they have double glazing window. i will definitely come back to use this hotel for my future trips to hong kong.

Central location, friendly service

i had a great time staying at the bauhinia and could not get over how great the location was. it was a 2 minute walk away from sheung wan mtr, buses that take you all over hong kong (even to the new territories) and right next to the tram stop too. lan kwai fond/central was also an easy 15 minute walk away. the rooms were average sized for hong kong and were clean, neat and tidy so perfect if you just need a place to sleep after a tiring day. staff were excellent and very helpful at all times. overall i really enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay here again next time i go to hong kong!

Strategic location for MTR and Macau Ferry”

This Hotel was 7 min away fro the West Jet ferry to Macau.. which turned out to be crucial as I didn't realize I needed my passport to go to Macau. I was able to go and get it 10 min to spare before the boat left The MTR is Half a block away which made it so easy to get to Causeway Bay and Central station Since the Hong Kong ferry was right there it was also easy to access the Star Ferry and all the piers on the Central side. Bus 15 first stop starts from here and takes you to the The Peak Galleria even though it will take you 40 min Excellent location with assorted restaurants nearby with a Starbucks across the street and 7-eleven half a block away

Great location!”

LOCATION A great place to explore Macau and the outlying islands of Hong Kong! Close to the stop for the airport bus A11/E11, and literally across the road from the Macau ferry terminal. Walking distance from Central ferry pier and ICC. A short 1-2 min walk from Sheung Wan MTR station. Great for those who are looking to make a day trip to Cheung Chau island, Lantau island or Macau. ROOM The room was decent and of a fairly comfortable size (for a HK hotel!). The room was clean, although it is beginning to show signs of age. The rain shower was a pleasant surprise and very therapeutic - try it! With only 3 floors of hotel rooms, there's not much of a view to shout out about. There was also a massive USB hub which can help juice up multiple electronic devices at once - a great idea. I would say that the stay was satisfactory.

Room is clean and large and the beds are comfortable

after having had some trouble with another hotel in causeway bay, i moved to this hotel, and was so glad that i switched to this hotel. the agoda said it was 3 star hotel, but the room was better than other 5 star hotels that i stayed in hong kong, in terms of size of the room and also the equipments. it was a well managed clean hotel which i will recommend to anyone. also, the location is very good. it is at a walking distance from central and right next to the subway.

Brand new hotel, conveniently located”

Location, free wifi

the hotel is conveniently located right across the street from the sheung wan station on the island line. this is one stop away from central station (where you are able to do a town check-in for your departure and catch the airport express train to the airport). the hotel is brand new so everything is in great condition. the rooms are clean, well apportioned and comes with free wifi. its a great place to come back to after a day of sighseeing as the room is comfortable and everything works. i read another review somewhere where the reviewer advised to exit the station from exit 3 or 4. beware - hong kong mtr station exits do not use numbers but alphabets. the right exit to get out of is either b or a2. a2 is the easier exit as the hotel is right across the street while exit b requires navigation amongst some confusing narrow streets. the hotel itself sits along a row of other buildings so is not distinctive. the sign bearing the hotel's name faces the main road (this sign can be clearly seen from exit a2). however, the main door under the sign leads to a bank and not the hotel. the entrance to the hotel is on a narrow side street.

Location and spacious rooms

We arrived late at night and were upgraded to better room for free. I was surprised because it was really big even for Europe, not like Hong Kong standard room. The hotel is absoluely new and weel equipped. And location is great - 1 minute from Sheung Wan MTR station, and the district itself is very comfortable: a lot of restaurants of any class and area for shopping, at the same time - walking distance from Central.

hotel is right in the middle of the hong kong island, within walking distance to many tourist sites. you can walk there from the hong kong train station, macau ferry is nearby too. the room was spacious and much bigger than what i expected for hong kong. nice design of the room, no complains. the only downside is that there is no restaurant at the hotel, but there are plenty of food options around the corner

I love this hotel. It is the best hotel (for my needs) in Hong Kong. Very new, very clean, very comfortable, very well located: close to tramway, MTR, Macau Ferry Terminal and not far from the Airport Express terminal in Central. Superb location with great rooms”

New and clean rooms, friendly staff, superb location

i booked this hotel about 5 months before my trip (a leisure one) so as to get better rates and secure rooms. not sure if rates were that fantastic , but i reckoned they were after checking with a friend who worked in hotel industry that there was a convention going on during the period i stayed (23 oct week... we were upgraded to what i believe was a deluxe plus room, and somehow breakfast was also included. this was a pleasant surprise after we lugged our baggage from the bus stop at connaught road to the hotel, after taking the a11 bus from airport (crossing overhead pedestrain bridges and all). nice! the rooms were very spacious for hong kong standards. i am a frequent traveller to hong kong and have stayed in expensive and extremely small rooms... this hotel was very clean and comfortable with all the electronics working very well. maybe because we stayed in the deluxe plus room, the free wifi worked perfectly for us. both hubby and i enjoyed the wifi for our ipads, and i even booked tickets for local attractions with it. we did check out the breakfast served at the executive lounge, which was nothing to shout for, but decent if i were there for a business trip. i believe we saw a hot drinks machine with pastries. we headed out for breakfast outside since there are a couple of hk tea cafes (eateries) and restaurants within 2 mins (?) from the hotel. the best part of this hotel is really, the location. it's a super short walk from the mtr station exit, and there are buses and trams that stop nearby. it's even close to the hk-macau ferry terminal, by walking. the only drawback is, perhaps, only that it becomes a little quieter at night. whilest shops at causeway bay etc, might close at 10 or 11pm, the shops/malls near sheung wan are generally closed by 8.30pm (not the eateries though). all in all, it was a great stay. we will definitely choose this hotel again for our return visit.

Had a great stay here. The staff were helpful. The rooms were well kept and large (larger than other hotels rooms I have stayed in Hong Kong). There is no view, but that didn't bother me. It is literally a 1 minute walk to the Shengwan train station, or you can easily walk to Central yourself. The gym is well kept - two treadmills, one bike, some basic weights.

Decent hotel near Train Stations”

Spacious rooms, clean and fresh.

I ran into some issues with the staff initially. I booked the hotel for two people. I had my 13-year-old son with me and other hotels have never given me a problem with having a third person. They wanted to charge me an addition $400HKD for him. They said I should've read the fine print before booking the hotel. But we were stuck in Hong Kong for an extra day and I was in no position to read fine print. I just wanted a hotel close to the train station with no hassles. (My previous hotel didn't give me this issue). Eventually front-desk agreed to let him stay for no additional charge so long as they don't need to provide extra linens or towels. That was no big deal since we packed our own towels. Other than that the staff was friendly and agreed to hold on to our luggage for several hours before check-in. Everything was within walking distance (restaurants, shopping malls, train station, ferry ride to Macau, coffee shops, etc.)

It was our first stay in HONG KONG island among many trips to HK. It was a pleasant stay there and Bauhinia is just about 2min walk from MTR station. The room itself is quite new. And with its great location which is just close by busy CENTRAL district and many HK-Island attractions, I would definitely stay here again.
