"We enjoyed our stay."

The Bay Samui is located on the golden beach of Samrong Bay in Koh Samui. The resort is situated on the north side of the island and is only a 70-minute flight from Bangkok. The village itself is an ideal place to escape from the crowds of the big cities. Each villa has its own private terrace and unforgettable view of the bay. At the front of the village lies pure white sands. Just two kilometers from Samui Airport, this destination has affirmed itself as one of Thailand's hottest beach retreats. There are 65 villas in all, built in an enchanting tropical garden in front of Thongsamrong Beach and close to the center of the bustling district of Chaweng which is reachable during the day by a cost-friendly shuttle service. The Bay Samui is set in a refined beach area away from the development and overcrowded nature of other nearby resorts. To proceed with your booking at the The Bay Samui, just select your travel dates and submit your travel details via our secure online booking form.

Great resort , brilliant beach location , wonderful helpful welcome from Air, all staff very helpful. We got upgraded to a suite with its own pool. Bed shower and hot water great, as was the WIFI . The rooms were randomly spaced over the hillside, each on its own space. Resort buggy was readily available to take you up the hill. Only improvement would be the restaurant, range of food poor. At breakfast four staff hung about whilst plates could be picked up and spoons for self help dishes could be cleaned or changed. The staff were very willing but lacked effective training. We enjoyed our stay....will be back
Very nice hotel, big rooms, small bath”
The hotel is very nice but a bit far from the city (15 min from city) who can't drive a bike shouldn't stay at resort cus taxi will cost a lot for each direction (around bat) Very nice beach, pool The staff is very nice The room come with breakfast included - very nice food
receptions very polite feel comfortable during stay. value for money great service all area cleanliness good presentation for the food and taste delicious only facilities should have the microwave for the customers who stay for long period
Lovely resort and peaceful”
i really like this resort they got a free wifi in the room also. i got a yummy fried rice in the restaurant :) pool and beach was good for sure i will return to this resort again next time. oh but my boyfriend said everything good but the entrance to the resort have no light ( scary )
I wish I could have stayed forever. So beautiful. The room was great, the beach so pretty and the staff so happy
Middle of no where and out of order pool”
If you are after a very quite location, then this might be for you. The room was amazing value for money and the beach was nice but we had to pay 400 baht to get to town to get a decent meal for dinner. And more disappointingly, the main pool was out of order during our stay, which was made worse given the little fish in the sea water that stung. The restaurant was overpriced, the mini-golf course was neglected and not looked after. Overall, would not stay again.
Dear Values guest khun Sarah thank you very much for your stayed with us and for your commend . we are apologize of your holidays not successful we editor as soon as possible for this case , best regards, Management team .
The value for money was phenomenal at this place. It is clearly changing ownership and due to this there was some construction which I assume accounted for the very discounted rooms. However, the service was great and you could not hear the construction when on the beach and it did not continue in the evening. Overall a fantastic stay.
I stayed here with my daughter and my friend's family and we had a great time. The staff were incredibly helpful, especially KookKai on the front desk. The location was outstanding, it's away from the crowds and so the beach was fantastic once you swam out past the coral which isn't hard to do. If you want shops and nightlife and can get quite expensive in taxis getting into Chaweng but if you're happy just to relax them it's a perfect spot. We stayed in a beach front villa and it was definitely worth the extra money to have a view of the bay every morning. The food in the restaurant is acceptable, unfortunately it's been de-spiced for western tastes. I would recommend staying here for sure..
Nice romantic resort with a private beach”
Arayaburi is an awesome romantic resort due to its location. Extremely peaceful and secluded from the main city areas. The beachfront villa we stayed in, was absolutely wonderful. But, one must be prepared for the fact that most of the staff would not understand English properly. Still, they are extremely helpful. Buffet breakfast was good with some veg options.
Wonderfully relaxing holiday!”
For a person who was very tired, this was exactly what I needed. The surroundings were breathtaking. Lots of trees, gorgeous view of the ocean and I felt like I was breathing fresh air! It was wonderful to wake up in the morning and walk out the door to swim in the pool. The buffet breakfast was great and the staff were so friendly. I slept like a dream....comfy beds! Which can be difficult to come by in Thailand. All round awesome place to stay.
Wonderfully relaxing! ”
It was a wonderful place to stay! We stayed at the Resort for four nights. Two at the beginning in a Deluxe Ocean front villa and then again at the end in a Superior villa. While we loved both. For value for money, staying int he Superior villa is enough. The second visit we were located in front the pool Jacuzzi and it was so nice to wake up in the morning and jump in the pool. There was so much nature around us, so it felt so relaxing in the clean ocean air. The ocean is beautiful, but a little rocky so you have to find the best access point to enter. The food was excellent. The staff were fantastic. When we arrived back at the hotel after a couple of days away they remembered us and were excited to see us....it was sooo cute. All round....awesome holiday.
Beautiful, romantic and quiet location”
The location is not too close from touristic beaches, which makes it more quiet. You can have romantic diner on the beach (feet in the sand) with excellent quality food. The staff is very nice even if they have sometimes a poor english and seem to be less experimented, but all is ok in general. The Grand Deluxe Villa Beachfront is very confortable, with a real good sight on the sea. I really found this place lovely and romantic. All was fantastic for an interesting price. This hotel is held by a nice german woman.
Off the beaten path but worth it”
we stayed at the arayaburi for five nights in august of 2012, myself my husband and six of our friends were in koh samui for a wedding at a nearby, super pricey hotel and chose the arayaburi for it's proximity to the wedding venue. the locations is wonderful for a relaxing vacation, but is about 10-15 minutes by vehicle to the town/shopping/sightseeing. the hotel provides breakfast and has a full room service menu in addition to a small restaurant, but if you want to leave it is about $10 usd each way by taxi unless you choose to rent a moto (which we did not. the hotel itself is beautiful, each room is a separate bungalow which is clean and spacious. the staff is friendly and helpful, and were very accommodating to our need to travel back and forth to the wedding venue multiple times during our trip (most of us were part of the wedding party. the hotel has two pools, one at the beach area and one closer to the main reception area. pros include a wonderful breakfast, accommodating and friendly staff and spacious rooms. my only tiny complaint is that the beach, which has beautiful views, is on a sand bar which necessitates one to swim out quite far to be immersed in water.
Very cozy nice hotel ”
This hotel has everything you need to make your holiday memorable & fun. The staff are friendly & the hotel itself is a slice of luxury. The prices are extremely reasonable so don't be put off by the special offer prices. Remote location and is good for self drive travelers but they have shuttle service to town. Breakfast was great. I would recommend this value for money hotel!
great hotel. lovely beach and great staff”
went for a wedding at Six Senses which is up on the hill "next door". Arayaburi staff are so lovely and accommodating. run a shuttle to Chewang regularly as the resort is a bit off out of the way. but that's the best thing about it. a great small quiet bay for swimming or floating. only complaint is weak water in shower but that is negligible compared to all the good things. there is free WiFi but it is a bit slow. but who cares!!!! you're on vacation in a fabulous place. and if you're really stuck there are two computers in the lobby to use.
Beautiful, secluded hotel”
This hotel is a lovely little resort which is hidden away on a private beach, away from the madness of the bigger resorts. The hotel provide a bus to and from Chewang and can arrange taxis etc to Bo Phut too. There are plenty of sun loungers around the pool and on the beach so if you are happy to laze your days away (we were) this is a perfect place to do it. If you like to be able to walk to other places then you might get a bit of cabin fever here!! The hotel also organised our trasfer on to Koh Tao and there is a travel agent/bike rental place across the road who can also organise things for you. All in all I would certainly stay here again.
Nice place for a relaxing stay.”
nice place for a relaxing stay away from the hustle and bustle. a clean bungalows have a diferent prices and a very good standard. a nice, quiet beach where there are only two other hotels. unfortunatelly the sea bottom is full of a rocks, you have to watch out for razor-sharp reef, so entering the water without shoes could be risky. i couldn't understand a high prices of massage in the hotel and at the restaurant as well. ladies on the beach don't have any clients, and the restaurant is totally empty during whole day, except a breakfast. fortunatelly the hotel offers comfortable shuttle service to chaweng where there are many restaurants with delicious food and a lot cheaper massage salons. there a massage costs one third of the price at the hotel, and you can eat for half a price. i would definitely recommend, great place for a relax in a quiet enviroment.
Picturesque beach quiet and laid back resort”
This is an 'escape' resort. As it is 15 minutes from the airport and main nightlife area Chaweng Beach it is very quiet and uncompromised. Very suitable for families as there is a play area near the pool which also has a toddlers paddling pool. But it's also very good for couples and singles wanting to get away from crowds. There is a shuttle service (or you can get taxis) to and from the main nightlife area of Chaweng Beach which is very busy and exciting as a contrast to the resort, The room was very clean and well serviced. This is not the 'newest' resort but it has everything you need.
Peace and quiet in Samui”
for those who want to stay in samui, but want to go to the party, rather than have the party come to you then, this is the place. it is about a 20 minute drive to downtown chewang. this place was just what i wanted, nice and quiet. it also has a 'private' beach for all practical purposes. no one but hotel guests would find it. it's not the best beach on samui, but it's quite nice. i found the staff to be friendly, but mediocre at best with very little english. due to the remoteness, this hotel has a shuttle that makes several trips to chewang each day. unfortunately you must pay extra for this.
Such a piece of paradise”
We are travelers on a budget and were looking to spend a few days on a Thai island to get a tan and relax. This hotel was the best find! It blew past all of our expectations and we were so content we extended our stay for another week. The bathroom in our bungalow could use some sprucing up, and the beach and pool is public so technically anyone can use it, but I'm not sure there were many people out there that weren't staying at the hotel. As budget travelers, we found the food very expensive at the restaurant. baht for a piece of lasagna and baht for a cheeseburger (it can add up!) There are no places to eat anywhere around, so you are very secluded on the hotel property. If you are expecting 4 stars, I wouldn't stay here, but if you remember that you are in Thailand and things are a little rustic, then this is a great place! Also, our room was near the jacuzzi pool which was so nice to walk out to every morning. And if you want chairs or beanbags down at the beach or the main pool get there early and claim yours with a towel!!!! Before or immediately after breakfast. Also there were no kayaks or water sports equipment for rent which was a disappointment.
