Quaint homely stay”
On knowing that we were staying at The Beach, our taxi driver discouraged us and kept telling us all the way how it was really not the right choice. When we first saw the resort, we weren't truly impressed. It isn't much to look at and the villas look shabby from outside. HOWEVER, the rooms are actually really nice and big, and we specially loved the tiny room with the bath tub in it. The place grows on you, and if it is quiet you are looking for, this is the right place for you. The resort arranges free trips on each day, except for Tuesday, to different locations in Krabi. We'd booked a tour to Ao Nang beach on phone before we reached, and it was actully the tour there that made us appreciate the serene surroundings of Had Yao. Ao Nang is definitely the "happening" place, but it was Had Yao that stole our hearts. What the resort lacks in variety when it comes to breakfast, they more than make up for in lunch. We were indeed spoilt for choice as each dish was cooked to perfection. Even though we had read about the staff being unfriendly, we found it quite contrary to what we witnessed. This is comfort stay, boiled down to the basics. Take a long walk on the deserted beach, laze around without being disturbed by anyone, gorge on heavenly Thai food, watch movies in the comfort of your room, and wake up to cooing birds and splashing waves. Forget the humdrum, don't think too much, and come back refreshed.

The Beach Boutique Resort Krabi”
The Beach Boutique Krabi is located at Had Yao / Long Beach. It is a secluded and rather isolated place. There are very very few resorts in the area. This is advantages for people who want to be away from the tourist "crowds". But there is not much of nightlife in the area - definitely no pubs / discos nearby. It is for those looking for a peaceful getaway. The restaurant serves a mix of local and Western dishes. The cook is really good. The food served is tasty and delicious. All rooms are independent villas. They are clean and have good finishings. There is a private "outdoor" bathtub which makes it unique. There is no kettle / coffee making facilities within the room though - I was unable to get my caffeine fix till 7.30am when breakfast was served! There is free wifi in the room - although connection was not available all the time for some reason. There is a DVD player in the room and the resort has a library full of DVDs for free rental.

Fantastic Relaxing Stay”
We stayed at the Beach Boutique Resort for 4 nights after a week in Ao Nang, and had a fantastic time. Excellent for relaxing as a couple. We had a Pool Villa, and I'm glad I paid the extra for this, as the other rooms were very exposed to the other guests, with limited privacy. The staff were fantastic and couldn't be more helpful. We would have liked a kettle to make tea & coffee in our room though, as the restaurant was normally closed by 9.30pm. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the only time we had a probem it was fixed very promptly. We partook in the day trip to Krabi which was fantastic, and a good opportunity to get out of the resort for a while. All the meals at the restaurant were great, and not too overpriced for resort food. The only strange thing was there was no cereal option at breakfast, or much available for snacks.(We thankfully took our own.) Overall we had a great stay, and would recommend this resort to those looking for a romantic, relaxing break, particularly at the end of an action-packed holiday.

Best relaxing holiday”
We had one of our best holidays at the Beach Boutique Hotel. We stayed there for about 5 days and couldn't rave enough about this place. It was like a retreat as it is quite secluded from town and not much around. But it was extremely relaxing as we got to read our books, hang out by the pool and get our daily massage in our rooms. We couldn't ask for more! The food was absolutely amazing as it was one of the best Thai food we've had in Thailand. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us. We have a 6-month old baby and they were so good in keeping him entertained whilst we had our meals. Not to mention, they treated him so well that we wanna to stay longer just for the people there. The only downside is the beach as it is not where you wanna bathe or hang out at. But on the other hand, we went canooing every morning after bfast so it was a great way to get some exercise and explore a bit. The hotel also a shuttle that takes you into town and then other day excursions. We didn't go anywhere due to the baby. We highly recommend this hotel to anybody who is looking for a relaxing holiday!!!! Thanks for everything Beach Boutique Resort!

Krabi Hideaway”
I found this property almost by accident, but we can say that it was the greatest "find" of our travels. Out in the middle of basically nowhere appears this oasis of peacefulness and elegant beauty. The privacy and quietness of this resort makes a person (who enjoys "quiet") want to stay there for a very long time. The friendly service we received was quite memorable. The special efforts made by the staff to prepare us a farewell dinner on the beach will always be remembered. I especially valued the wonderfully beautiful and quiet library with free Internet. The bungalows were a little sparsely furnished, and could use a desk and chair, but other than that, it was all a person could ask for. The beautiful pool was designed so that you could rest on the edge and look right at the ocean. The beach was basically deserted and we could walk for "miles." Our advice to those who are considering Krabi.. do not stay in town our at the other beach town.. DON'T! .. unless you like hustle and overly touristy. The Boutique Beach Resort is truly an oasis of peace and quiet and we regret that we did not change our plans to be able to stay another few days. Also the complimentary transport from airport or Krabi town is a big plus. Summation: a GREAT experience.

Beautiful luxurious hotel with great service”
This was a great place to end the vacation. The resort is located about 25 min from Krabi airport in Had Yao area and you can get their with the hotels own pickup service for 500baht or by longtail from Krabi pier or Ao Nang. The location is private and quiet but not too far away from the cities. There are about 12 deluxe villas with all luxurious facilities you need. The beach and pool are very private and pretty. The food was above average and a little overpriced, but the rate for the hotel was really low so I guees the compensate a litte by overpricing food and beverages. There are no shops nereby, but the staff was really kindly and went to buy us the things we needed free of charge. Wifi and safety box is included as well as breakfast and there is also a library of DVD's to borrow. Excellent for a wedding or honeymoon or just relaxation.

Secluded and so friendly!”
We had a great time here, stayed 5 nights which was probably perfect for us. We went on the free day trip to Ao Nang and the Emerald Pool/Hot Springs trip which was free apart from the entry which was cheap (definetely recommend). So we had 2 1/2 days relaxing and 2 days doing trips which was perfect for us. There are island trips you could do for a cost and you would get picked up by boat from the hotel, we didn't because we were going into Ao Nang. Again the staff were great, not in your face friendly but always there for you with a smile. The bungalows were lovely, felt a real treat and were cleaned daily. The food was good but I think it was slightly changed for westerners, still nice but we came for complete authentic food. The food was only warm when it got to us because the kitchen was 100 yards away from the restuarant. There isn't anywhere else to eat but we did hear about a fish place 10 minute bike ride away which was open in the day time. I would suggest stocking up on drinks for your room because water, beer and coke is alot more expensive. The beach was a disappointment and wasn't suitable for sunbathing on, the water wasn't clear as you'd expect but we still loved going into the sea after some sunbathing on the homemade beach. If the beach was like powder sand etc like when you think of Thailand then the price of accomodation would be 10 times the price. You should be able to get a taxi from Krabi airport for around 600 THB and will take about 1/2 hour as long as you driver doesn't get lost, into Ao Nang it will be around 1000 THB and take 1 hour. What you could do is speak to the Hotel before you leave and they will send a taxi to Krabi Airport which will cost 500 THB, we didn't realise that but there are so many taxi's looking for your business you shouldn't have a problem. All in all we had a great time and would recommend this place to anyone, great value for money... but remember a few points like it's more secluded than you may first expect.

A great resort for a relax and quiet getaway”
The hotel is 30 minutes away from the Krabi International Airport and although it is secluded, the taxi driver from the airport knew the way. Upon arrival, we were greeted with friendly and efficient hotel staff. Not all their staff could speak English but it was not much of an issue as they could still attend to our needs very readily. The restaurant served great food at reasonable price, not the cheapest but approriately priced. The rooms are clean and very spacious for the amount of money you're paying, it is definitely worth the money. You would not be able to get food elsewhere so buy before heading back to the resort or its only the restaurant food for you. The tours are simple and bring you to places that you would probably miss out but being first time in Krabi it was quite good experience to places such a the Krabi Aquarium, Fossil Shell Beach, Emerald Pool and Krabi Town. The complimentary tours help to save on baht spent on taxi fares. Overall a wonderful stay if u dont mind the travelling. If you want time out from the busy city and time alone with your loved one, this is the place to go.

A little slice of Heaven”
This hotel was exactly what we were looking for. We had read reviews that said not to under-estmimate how remote this resort was, so we were prepared. It's located on a 9kn beacch, that houses only 3 other small boutique resorts. The staff were incredibly gracious in every encounter. The rooms were very spacious and well designed. The bath, shower and toilet were all seperated, and 'outdoor' bath area was terrific. The only thing that would have enhanced the experience was a bathrobe for when you get out of your luxurious bathtub. The food at the restaurant was incredible. Considering there is not where else to go, were a little worried about eating at the same place every day, but there was a large selection, and all of it was delicious.

A peaceful place to stay.....”
Our stay at The Beach Boutique Resort Krabi was exceptional. The room was great (DVD, separate bath), the garden and swimming pool were beautiful and the view on the sea was fantastic. We really appreciated the for free pick up from Ao Nang and to the airport. This place is good if you want to rest for some time but I think it is on the other hand to calm to stay for too long. The restaurant of the hotel was good.

Peaceful and relaxing hotel with outdoor bathtub”
at first we were skeptical about the location of this hotel as its situated 30 minutes away from the airport, going into krabi ao nang stretch takes an hour from the hotel. however, we decided to try it out since we have privacy in mind and a 9 month old daughter traveling with us. i must say that we made the right choice! the hotel appeared just like in the photos online. clean and comfortable. you have the beach to yourself really, but the pool is pretty small, but nice for relaxation and serenity. you can spend the whole day by the beach with no interference ( there are many people on ao nang beach who tries to sell you massage sessions). a wide selection of dvds in the hotel for you to relax with the family, free wi-fi, the food at the hotel's in-house restaurant is good, but a tad expensive. massage sessions cost double than ao nang area too. the staff at the hotel are very accommodating. they even provided us with a baby cot with mosquito net. they also offer an outdoor bathtub at the back of the room, which i absolutely loved for personal time and relaxation. this hotel is the second franchise of the other hotel along the same stretch, but this hotel is the latest set up , so therefore it's amenities are newer. hotel provides free shuttles to tourist places too. as taxi will cost a lot, bath from hotel to ao nang area as it takes an hour. i would suggest that if you want peace and quiet, opt for this hotel, but bearing in mind, there is absolutely no shops or bars around the vicinity. but it worked out for us really well. but fr those who wants nightlife, stay away from this place

Magical”
I fell in love with this hotel and the people. This is a 20 min taxi from Krabi airport with nothing around the hotel excpet one other hotel. The staff are welcoming and there to answer your every whim. They get to know you personally. Breakfast was delicious. Lunch and dinner is off a limited menu but man the chef can cook those dishes to perfection. Best food I had in Thailand.Rooms were clean and just what you wanted. Only downfall was the actual beach which was very dirty and the water very muggy. The hotel man made beach is fine. Stay 3 nights and you will also fall in love with this place too. Note prices are slightly more expensive as no competition in close proximity but you don't mind paying. Thanks to Bee, Matt,Sun, Ice and Leila we had a thoroughly enjoyable time.

Lovely place”
We stayed at the Beach boutique resort over Christmas and had a great time. The room was lovely, the staff all very friendly and the food delicious. They offer various trips and activities for the guests convenience and even had a Santa come round on Christmas eve giving each guest a small present and entertained the kids there which wasn't expected and a nice touch. Food is affordable. They have a vast dvd library to use for free which is nice for in the evenings.

Quiet, Relaxing, Great Service”
When we made a reservation, it was quite frustrating that we couldn't get the pool beach front villa as they're fully booked. When we got there, then only we found out there are only about 14 villas there and probably only 2 units with private pool. The public pool is quite small though, but it is not bad. To those who do not wish to leave the room, you could always borrow some DVDs (pretty good selection) to watch. The resort is situated in a quiet area (Taling Chan) which is near Had Yao and there are nothing else around. Therefore, we stock up on some instant coffee and tea and bread just in case we're bored with the hotel food. We had most our meals at the hotel. The food is good, but quite pricey, which we don't mind but the choices in the menu could be more than what they have. But on the last night we were there, we had dinner at Krabi Sunset which is about 5 minute walk from the resort. The highlight of our stay was actually the two trips that we booked from the hotel reception; the Phi Phi Islands trip and the 4 Islands trip. Both trips were amazing. Phi Phi Islands trip however was tiring as we had to take different types of transportation before we got to the boat and back to the hotel. The 4 Islands trip was awesome as the boat (the long tail boat) came to the resort's shore to pick us up and there were only us and another couple from New Orleans (Sandy and Fred :)). We had a great time island hopping with these two lovely people. We also rented a car (which cost us 2000 baht/6 hr rental) to visit the Catfish Farm with the hope of having some awesome catfish salad for lunch, but the restaurant was closed and the farm was not well maintained. It's a shame really. So, we headed to another famous restaurant amongst the local, Suan Kluay Mai. The food was authentic. On our way back from Ao Nang, we went to one of the cashew nuts' farms which is very close to the resort and bought a few kgs of freshly roasted cashew nuts for family and staff back home

Beach Boutique”
We had an excellent stay at the Beach Boutique resort. The staff were very accommodating and always willing to help. The room/villa was great with separate shower/toilet/bath rooms. We also took a trip to the Phi Phi islands organised by the hotel which was great and left from the beach right in front of the hotel.

A very smart boutique hotel - a romantic location ”
A wonderful 3 days - the bus trips from the hotel into Krabi were an excellent idea and we enjoyed the excursions very much. The staff were more than helpful. Rooms are kept clean and tidy. The location of the restaurant by the pool and beach was second to none. Only problem I could not get onto the internet, however, the IT guy tried hard but without success. I had access to the computer room and retrieved my emails via that source. It took an hour after reaching Krabi to find the location as the google map for the site needs some "window dressing" We had to ask many people on the way for directions and further directions.

Great hotel at a secluded location”
We stayed at the Beach Boutique for two nights in the Junior Suite. It was a featured deal that day on Agoda. Very close to the pool and dining area. We arrived after hours and had someone waiting for us to check-in. The main entrance to the villas was an outdoor path that was nicely decorated with trees on all sides with nice lighting. The suite itself had tall ceilings, very nice looking outdoor bathtub that had it's own coverings (warning: always keep this door closed, as nature finds its way in). The dining area has limited food items blend between western and Thai. Some of the menu items were sold-out. Price range: 150 baht (burgers, green curry) to 600 baht (lobster Thermidor). We were told that there was a restaurant down the road from us but we didn't go. The pool was smaller but we basically had it to ourselves for our entire stay. The beach itself was dirty and you couldn't swim in it. The location of the hotel was a bit of a way out from the airport and main Krabi Town. It was secluded and private and away from a lot of the hustle, very romantic. But because of the distance from the town we highly recommend renting a car (1500 baht/day) or a motorbike (300 baht/day) be sure to make mention that you would like these in advance because we were not able to get a hold of them while we were there. We highly recommend booking a tour with them. We did the Phi Phi Island tour. We paid 2000 baht per person but that included our 45 min drive into the town, speed boat to the islands lunch and the commute back. If you do your research before hand you may get a better deal but we were strapped for time. The islands are a must see! Overall the consideration and friendliness of the staff really made our stay much better. The view was romantic and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Warnings: distance from town and wi-fi only in the foyer.

My Get Away Fromt It All holiday at its best!”
The beach is probably one of very rare properties in krabi that as direct beachfront. I simply wanted to get away from my work and seek for the best place to spend a quiet and relaxing place and this really doesn't disappoint me! It simply has what it takes. Apart from the location that I personally like (some may disagree with me if you look for somewhere with night life), I also must agree that the deal I has is truly exceptional. I cannot find a better deal in a villa like this. There are also free shuttles to Ao Nang if you like or otherwise, they can offer you a half day tour of Krabi. I would take these if i stayed there longer. But simply i just wanted a peaceful time.

A paradise for couples and honeymooners... Once yo”
There are some things about this place that takes your breathe away, and others that will annoy the hell out of you. There's nothing here which is considered average, or normal; you'll either really really love it or really really hate it. Let's start with the good stuff. I won't go so far as to say its the best hotel I've stayed at, but its probably the most memorable. I will always remember my stay at the Beach Boutique because it has such a presence, a beauty, an X-factor about it. The moment you arrive you are greeted with friendly smiles, a refreshing drink awaits your arrival, the nice easy listening music around the background before going into your room. The room itself (I stayed at the standard villa), is beautiful, big and spacious, has a warm, charming feel to it. Now the bad stuff. Although the location is placed so that it gives you a get-away-from-the-crowds environment, it's a long drive from the airport, is totally isolated from restaurants, shops, entertainment, local transportation and going back to civilization (ie. Ao Nang) is going to be pricey for a taxi. So be prepared to have everything you need before arriving at the hotel, cause theres no 7-Eleven around. The private beach is a great selling point to have, but you will never swim in it cause it's very dirty and the blackest sand you'll ever see. Still it is good for a walk during sunset/sunrise. Overall it is a great place to stay, mostly recommend this place for couples. My stay at Beach Boutique will live long in the memory.

Beautiful quiet hotel”
The beach boutique is small hotel of luxury bungalow villas. It's in a remote place, making it great for those looking for peace and quiet. It makes an ideal stopover for a couple of nights which we did before heading to Phi Phi. They do run a free trip to Krabi every Monday so you can see what you're missing out on (not much!). I would thoroughly recommend staying here for 2 or 3 nights. They also have a great DVD collection!
