This hotel is nicely situated on the river in a quieter section close to the action. The room wasn’t as well appointed as others during our travels but it was clean and the location very good. The breakfasts were delicious and coffee hot. The staff were helpful, attentive, and created a friendly atmosphere. I would definitely stay here again during our next trip.
The hotel is in an old French colonial building which has a lot of charm. The room I had was very spacious, clean, and had a great atmosphere. The hotel itself is also very nice, with excellent service. The free breakfast in the riverside terrace was always a highlight of the day, and the staff of the hotel is very attentive and helpful whether you need to book a tour, a train, or a taxi. I would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying there again one day.
Location is 1-2 mins from the Main Street Sakkaline Road. For the night market about five minutes away. Unless you need to be on the Main Street, I would advise due to noise. Upon arrival, check in was smooth and was given a Lemongrass honey drink and a lemongrass scented towels. A nice feature. The hotel I believe has 4-5 buildings all next to each other and one across the street. My rate included breakfast and it was plated but you can ask for more food or drinks anytime. In your room, I love the personal touches and do read the two binders in the room. Gives you tips and suggestion on what to do. I felt it was geared to a first timer to LP. Favorite part was the comic section on the Do's and Don'ts . Minibar has 6 different sodas and two beers all included with your stay. AC and Wifi very stable. The room was clean as it could be and no ants or mosquito despite my stay during the wet season. There is a safe, water kettle, TV, lightweight robes, slippers (thick and not reusable). The staff I have encountered were very nice and helpful. Special recognization to Samsoong (sp.) who assisted me with check in and my suitcase to my room. He also went out of his way in a bicycle to deliver an item left in the room while I was enroute to the airport. Now that was a big wow. Also the service from the restaurant staff - very good and pleasant. It's no five star hotel but comes close, but at double of the price of a hostel.

The Belle Rive is a great place to stay in Luang Prabang. The property is well situated, only minutes away from the main part of the old town and adjacent to the river with great views. While modernized, the buildings retain their character yet are very well maintained and the rooms are very comfortable and clean. The staff were all very helpful and accommodating throughout my stay, embarrassingly so at some points, but very attentive and friendly. The kitchen at the Belle Rive is the star of the property. Every meal I had at the restaurant, whether it be the breakfast, lunch or dinner was excellent. The property is a great value for what they charge and I highly recommend it.

“Great little Boutique ”
The Belle Rive is a great place to stay if you're visiting Luang Prabang. The staff are always nice, professional and helpful. The room was clean, AC worked very well and bed was comfortable. They have plenty amenities to choose from. From the free bicycle you can ride to explore the town (which we did) to the 5-8 water bottles in our room, fruits, chocolate and drinks in the mini bar that were all free and restocked everyday. They offered a sunset cruise on the Mekong with an alcoholic drink or non alcoholic drink just for booking with them. It was very lovely and we enjoyed it. Breakfast was included and everything we ordered was delicious, it was a la carte and you can order as many times as you want. We usually got the pastries like croissant and croissant (which are from a local famous bakery in town) western breakfast and Asian breakfast which consists of noodle soup or congee. The staff at their restaurant are very nice and professional always happy to help. I picked this place from all the reviews raving about the amenities, staff, and food at this place and it did not disappoint. My family had a lovely stay here and would rebook The Belle Rive again if we are ever back in Luang Prabang. I would definitely recommend this place!
