The best hotel ever!!!!”

Great location on the beach, stuff service, delicius food
none!

We stayed there during our honeymoon and we had great time over there. First of all this hotel is located on the beach! the hotel has private beach. In the hotels private beach you will get water fruits and snacks during your stay. Inour opinion kata beach is the most beatifull beach in phuket island and has the best resturants in phuket (including the boathouse wine and grill) the hotel has beatifull rooms and graet deasign. This hotel has the best breakfast! imported cheese, great pancacs, exsspreso end other stuff that are not so common in thailnd. The stuff in the hotel is very firendly and provides great service! We are just hoping that we will have another chance to visit there!

Romantic and exclusive”

Great staff, nice beach and exclusive surrounding

The choice we make to take Kata above Karon. especially Boathouse really do it's justice. Boathouse has very beautiful beach, white smooth sands and clear water. It has an exclusive beach part in front of the hotel, a nice situated one, which are very good since i hate to struggle with out outside visitor just to get a good beach bench spot. The beach staff is also very attentive, they constantly give you cold drinks for free and make your towels while you are sunbathing / enjoying the beach. It is true, the bed is a combination between 2 small single beds, but it didn't mind me much. I also take a tour around Kata and Karon area, Boathouse is definitely the best option if you looking for a beach hotel for relaxation.

Perfect Hotel for Phuket family holiday”

The Boathouse is located on the best beach in Phucket ( KATA ) for swimming long board surfing and realaxing. The direct access to KATA beach from The Boathouse is very rare and will not dissapoint. We are a family of 5 ( kids age : 6, 10 and 12 ) and were very active with tours, shopping, activities etc, The Boathouse location was perfect for all outings. It was a pleaseure to come back to the hotel after a big day and be welcomed and looked after at every stage. The breakfast was a step above other 4.5 +stars hotels, the food staff and view of KATA beach was amaxing. Higly reccomend this Hotel.

Perfect beachside holiday”

Position position position

We had a lovely 5 night holiday on the beach at The Boathouse. Waking up facing the beach only metres away is a rare luxury in Phuket. Few other hotels are absolute beachfront. The pool is very small, but with the white sand and blue water only steps away , this was not a problem. Breakfast was delicious and freshly cooked to order, rather than sitting out on a buffet for hours like most other hotels. We had a lovely holiday and hope to return to The Boathouse at Kata Beach again soon.

Lovely hotel, great location, excellent service!”

Location, architecture, decor, staff, service, everything!!
Only one internet access point, not a big issue. Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner menus were the same every day.

Myself and my husband stayed at this Mom Tris Boathouse resort for 1 week and absolutely loved every minute. The location is perfect, right on the beach, loungers and umbrellas right there for use by hotel guests only and constantly serviced by hotel staff, ie complementry towels, drinks, fruit snacks etc the moment you arrive on the beach. Other beach goers are not allowed to use the hotel loungers which give an exclusive feel and the feeling of special treatment each day. The staff are absolutely beautiful people, every one of them and took great care of us. My husband suffered from a bout of food poisining during our stay in Phuket ( not from the hotel resturant food I might add) but the staff were very concerned for his well being and made him special ginger drinks etc to aid his recovery which was great. To our total surprise we even had a staff member come with us to the airport when we were leaving who took us through the entire check in process in the airport, again making us feel like we were very special guests receiving once again special treatment. A very unexpected bonus on what was a sad day, as neither of us wanted to leave such a beautiful place. Thanks again to all the staff at Mom Tri's for making our stay such an enjoyable one.

Boathouse is Best at Kata”

Excellent location and facilities. Any other hotel that you stay at in Kata will be crowded. Boathouse is smaller but with plenty of space for guests.
Not all rooms have good views of beach which is not much of a con, given the crowds on the beach.

Just finished eight nights at the Boathouse. It is the best place to stay on Kata Beach which has become overrun with tourists since my last visit ten years ago. You still feel insulated from the masses at Boathouse. Highly recommend the Oasis restraurant next door which is owned by Boathouse. Excellent food at local prices.

Mom Tri's Boathouse is awesome”

Great menu, fantastic beach side resort and breathe taking view of the sunset, accommodating and friendly English speaking staff, free wifi and fresh fruits delivered everyday to your room is wonderful, and mostly it's quiet.
Cleanliness of the sheets and bed (bedbugs), no free shuttle bus to airport, the hotel should feature evening entertainment like singers or musicians, breakfast menu isn't so fantastic.

Mom Tri's boathouse is exactly what we were expecting in a secluded beach resort in Phuket. It's quiet, beautiful, and truly relaxing. Their menu of activities on the Directory helped us a lot on what activities we can do while in Phuket. The view from the balcony on our room is amazing and the service is great. We got the hotel promo rates so definitely it's worth every penny and more. Would want to stay here again in the future.

Location- perfect with beach access and busy street stalls. Staff- all friendly focused and happy. Food- breakfast was superb, dinner outstanding and happy hours were great end to the day.

Our stay was fantastic. We were always looked after at breakfast by X and K and the rest of the crew. Food was terrific and part of package. Pool staff were attentive to our needs and we were well treated by Min and others. Happy hour was favourite time of day. Always looked after by Kitty and the rest of the Boathouse team. Dinner was superb and made better by the beautiful and happy smiling Aud. Rooms were always clean and small gifts of fruit and snacks were well received. Beautiful views of the beach and great fun at Rekata spas over all an idyllic holiday destination underpinned by great shopping in Kata and Karon.

Boutique beach hotel with great food and service. ”

Sun deck and restaurant right on the beach. Spa service. View.

I stayed here as a solo traveler for a quiet getaway while between jobs. Kata beach was busier than I expected but still calm and relaxing with lots of surfers. I stayed 4 nights in 3 different rooms. The second room I was in reeked of paint fumes from the room being redone next door, they moved me to a nicer room shortly after I complained. Everything was clean, with simple stylish beachy white/blue decor. I wish that they had a fitness center because i prefer to run on a treadmill and never got around to running on the beach before the sun's heat got strong. I spent most of my time by the "pool" which is very pretty but it's really just a small dipping pool. Cool and gorgeous, right on the beach. The service at the pool is excellent. I ate at the cafe a few times and it was great and reasonably priced for both western and Thai dishes. Ordered room service and that was great too. Yes the prices are a bit higher than the restaurants next door or the Kata Beach Resort next door, but the quality and value is higher. Had 2.5 hour spa package with Thai massage which was really good and a good value in my opinion. It was better than a similar package I got cheaper elsewhere. I hate when people complain about things being expensive but I thought everything was reasonable all things considered. I live in Shanghai which is a pricey city and get massages pretty frequently and while the spa interior design wasn't anything fancy I really felt she did a good job. Each night room rate at last min booking.

A wonderful stay at one of our favorite hotels”

Quality of hotel and hotel service, exceptional restaurants, direct beach access

The staff welcomed us 'back' to the Boathouse and our stay was to the level that we have come to expect over the years that we have been visiting Phuket. We like that the hotel is relatively small and that it lives up to it's exceptional reputation. The staff are attentive, the hotel well decorated and presented and we had a wonderful relaxed time. Our only issue was that there is no gym at the hotel although the staff were able to help us find one within walking distance.

Great place to stay”

We stayed at the Boathouse for 1 week and thoroughly enjoyed it. The location is excellent, being a few steps to the beach, but also very central to the main township, easy walking distance to great shops and places to eat. The room was kept immaculate, the staff wer always friendly, and the breakfast was delicious. Although we didn't eat our meals there, I would presume they are very good. I have no hesitation in recommending this establishment and if I return to Kata again, I would be very happy to stay here again.

Wonderful beach front location, but dated rooms.”

Oceanfront location was gorgeous.
Not a great value for money.

I spent hours and hours online trying to find a beachfront hotel at a reasonable price in Phuket. I ended up on Kata Beach and the hotel location was absolutely wonderful. The beach is small, but beautiful. They cleaned the beach in front of the hotel but there is still trash. (Not their fault, just an FYI.) The room was very clean with great beds, which is a plus in Thailand! The room had fruit upon my arrival and even had candles and matches in the room. Nice touches. They need to update the rooms. Breakfast was yummy and the staff was very helpful. Their masseuse is a miracle-worker. I had such a back problem that I could not walk. He had me walking in an hour. Worth every penny. There is also an ocean front hotel next door that might afford better views of the ocean, as most here are blocked by trees.

Romantic Beach Getaway ”

Excellent view, well trained staff, cooking classes available

Boathouse - Resort on the Beach truly lives up to its 5 star name. The resort is impeccable. The rooms are spacious, we had a beach front room and the view was amazing. I especially love the fact that they are staffed with extremely well trained English speaking employees. Spent an afternoon at the Re Ka Ta spa and really enjoyed my facial that recommended by the girl at the counter. They used Decleor products and the massage with aroma therapy oil was just heavenly. Cooking classes are available on weekends. Ideal for people who want to learn a thing or two about the Thai cuisine and meet like minded people who do. I had a wonderful time and will definitely book to stay at Boathouse again!

Location, friendly staff, delicious food

we spent a wonderful week at the boathouse. thoroughly spoilt. the location right on the beach is idilic. having breakfast overlooking the empty beach as the sun comes up was magic as were the evenings spent dining in the restaurant listening to the lap of the waves on the beach. friendly, well trained staff added to the relaxed atmosphere around the hotel. delicious food on the menu. with a resident french chef there is always a choice between fragrant thai dishes or more robust french dishes. we ate out one night but never again, the boathouse food was too good to miss.

Nice resort, warm service, good location”

the resort was on the kata beach. good for relaxing, not crowded. people usually surfed during high season. we went there on october (rainy season) though it rained only some day but water was cleared, blue, and beautiful. we were able to stay in 3 different types of room. all rooms faced to the beach. all room types came with fruit basket, one litre of drinking water, tea/coffee set. these was daily stocked. plus a complimentary mini afternoon tea for all guess. a discount coupon for dinner and a drink coupon for 2 free drink at rekata club house. a la carte breakfast was included everyday. though not so many choices but all were attention to detail. the first one was deluxe beach front next to the open lounge area on second floor. all standard furniture like any other branded hotel but with espresso-milk-frothing machine. for bathroom was very small, though it was cleaned with f ull amenity, hot and clod water with strong shower option. the second room was the family suite. it was very big, 2 steps from jagucci and 10 steps right to the beach. big bathroom for the whole family used at the same time. we enjoy the view of the beach from the bathtub. there was an additional big sofa bed for relaxing during the day and could also use as additional bed for two kids. we loved this room but there were mosquitoes. we had to move to the third room because we wanted to checkout late but the room was already for the next booking quests. we were ok to move. so here came the third room. it was the smallest one with twin beds. the room was next to the pool and at night they used it as a party area. normally the area was quiet but unfortunately that night the resort had an event. nobody informed us in advance. though we managed to sleep with some mosquitoes. staffs were genuine, prompt, really take care of use. with the price we paid, it was more than we had expected

Awesome location, wonderful staff, great holiday!”

Location - beachside, Dining and drink options

We recently had a wonderful 6 night stay at the Boathouse. We chose it because we wanted a hotel with direct beach access and it has exactly that. The staff were lovely and helpful and offered very personal touches with the managers introducing themselves to us. We really enjoyed meeting other guests on the Wednesday night drinks that was put on. The direct pool access room was comfortable, not to big or small. However the only negative I have is that the mattress was too hard and the pillows not the best. We dined in the Grill restaurant one night and it was amazing. It was one of the most expensive meals we had on our holiday, but we didn't mind, the french food and matched wines we had were fantastic. Breakfast at Re Ka Ta restaurant offered great choices and the many of them were freshly prepared or cooked for you. We also enjoyed a couple of lunches at Re Ka Ta, and plenty of cocktails during happy hour! Pool is not large, but that didn't matter as we also swam in the ocean. The staff in the pool/ beach area were wonderful and helpful, and assisted with setting up the umbrellas and towels on the beds for you. The location is great too, plenty of other restaurants, massages places and shops in the surrounding streets. Overall an awesome place to stay.

Beautiful Spot, Not Quite 5*”

Great patio, right on the beach, excellent restaurant

I had an excellent stay at Boathouse and with a couple of tweaks they could call themselves a 5* resort. First, some major renovation is needed to the bathroom near the lobby. Nothing says 5* like mould on the ceilings and empty soap and paper dispensers. While the rooms had apparently been freshly renovated, my deluxe junior suite had some deficiencies for sure. It was pretty clear that my sliding glass door had been breached at some point, I'm guessing recently. Now, it's likely it was broken open by the drunken customer who somehow locked their keys in it but still needs to be repaired before renting out the room again. The bathroom looks to be finished by a fresh apprentice carpenter as well. Nothing fits quite right. These issues aren't a big deal unless you're staying at a hotel that claims it's a 5*. The location is fantastic, the sun deck is perfect for early morning reading and some light sun, walking to the beach from your deck is excellent. Top notch food available beachfront and you can pretty much walk any direction and find whatever you're after. This is my 4th time in Kata but my first time staying beachfront and while I don't think this place is worth the price of admission, you will definitely have an enjoyable time here. I'll consider staying for another weekend for certain.

Fine location with beach and town”

Both the beach and the town are on opposite sides of the hotel.
A narrow street through the town. Care must be taken with the traffic.

The location of this hotel has about everything that one could want while in Phuket. The rooms are very comfortable. The beach is directly behind the hotel. It is a beautiful beach. The hotel staff takes great care for one, while on the beach, by bringing complimentary water and fruit to you, while you bask in the beauty. A great advantage of this hotel is that you are not limited to it. The town is right outside the front door. Everything you could need is within walking distance. There are hundreds of places to eat, at any price range that you wish. Shopping is also everywhere, and within walking distance. A short taxi ride will take you to Patong Beach, if you want to see all Phuket has to offer.

Mom Tri's Boathouse ”

Location, right on the beach and at the end of Kata Yai.
Very close to the road. You can hear street noise and does not feel private.

We stayed at the Boathouse for one night before we stayed at the Villa Royale. When we first arrived at the Boathouse, I thought the view from the dining room was outstanding and very impressive. The service was impecable and the location was decent. Our room overlooked the pool, which did not provide enough privacy. The room itself was very comfortable, spacious and clean. The restaurant was delightful, as is the wine selection (but be prepared to pay for it!).

Excellent hotel - highly recommended”

Location, service (staff) and the breakfast

We had our honeymoon at the boathouse with our 11 month baby. We had an amazing time and the hotel staff couldn't have done more to help us with all our requests. The location of the hotel was fantastic, right on the beach and near several cheap and authentic Thai restaurants. We had a room which opened onto the smaller pool which we had to ourselves most days and the beach was a matter of metres away. The staff were so nice to our baby and made a big fuss if him. They entertained him at breakfast and treated him like a little prince. The hotel also has a babysitter service for 250bht an hour which we used on several nights to have a meal out. The breakfast food was excellent. We particularly liked the almond croissants and crab cakes.
