A cosy hostel in Bangsar”
Have been here a few times. The hist GIGI is great and friendly. Always felt at home. There's a vibe like being in an overseas hostel due to a mixture of tourists. All and friendly. The place is clean and comfy.

Convenient and strategic location”
Just a simple place for a quick night sleep. Nearby LRT and within walking distance. Quite difficult to find at night since the banner is abit old and no sign board.

Above average”
The room was so small. Plus bathroom & iron space was outside the room. I didn't learn that before i booked, maybe my fault. And many buddhist patung at reception area. Overall, feel sorry for my family of 4 who had to stay there. Maybe wouldn't repeat anymore sorry

The room that was given to me is not similar as picture”
It was creepy when first arrived. cant even see the signboard until I google it. I was given a room in another block of shoplot locate main road. The room was super congested and small. The room has no safety lock from inside. That is the most I concerned about.. It was dangerous for solo travel like me. I would not recommend this.

A quiet, clean place to escape the center of K”
I was only in KL for the night on my way back to China and I wanted a budget friendly place near the center of the city so the Bodhi Lodge was perfect for me. The Bodhi Lodge had simple but clean rooms perfect for travelers who will be spending most of their time exploring Kuala Lumpur. It is located a short bus ride from the center and near two metro stops so the location is ideal for visitors. The neighborhood is quiet so you can escape the hustle and bustle but there is a 24 hour store and restaurant downstairs so it is not completely sleepy. The Lodge, itself, is super clean with a nice common area and kitchen. The bathroom was spotless as my own and the water was nice and hot. The lovely lady who runs the Lodge is super helpful and does an excellent job orientating you to the area. She is a fellow traveler so she is very in tune to your needs and desires. It is a little gem for a budget traveler.

Good Stay for Transit Traveler”
I am a solo traveler, transiting through KL. I arrived at KL around 8:00PM and I have an early morning flight to Singapore the next day. I needed a place to rest for the night and found Bodhi Lodge. I chose this because it's location is near KL Sentral station which connects you conveniently to KLIA and KLIA 2 via Express Train or Airport Bus. The hostel seemed to be a walking distance from KL sentral station when you look into the map but walking is quite impossible since humongous overpasses and an expressway are between the two places. You need to take the KTM Rapid MRT from KL Sentral going to Kelana Jaya. You need to disembark at Bank Rakyat Bangsar Station which is just the next stop. The hostess (sorry, did not get her name) was warm and accommodating. She's like an auntie who assists you in checking in and giving you your room keys. She also gave me hints on where to eat around the area and how to go to KLIA the next day. The lodge itself was very clean, quiet and the room was quite big and comfortable to sleep. The toilet, ironing utilities, water were adequate for the needs of a transient traveler. My only complaint was that the walls of the room were quite thin and you can hear guests walking along the hallway. You can even hear their regular talking sound. But in general, it was a terrific stay and I had a sound sleep that night.

Gege takes care of you.”
The host lady Gege is super friendly and communicative. This is her place so she cares every details of our stay. The location was perfect for my 15hours transit in KLIA 10r for the Airport coach, 1.20r for the LRT from KL Sentral to Bangsar where Bodhi lodge locates within 3 min walk. Left the hostel 5:30am to catch the flight, there is no LRT till 6am so I spent 6R for the taxi, Its only 18 Min walk for the lodge to KL Sentral. Then 10R for the Airport coach. You can perchase both way by 18R. They have two big water machines to fill your water bottle, AC in each rooms work well for steamy hot KL night, The keys for the door in dorm, locker and the entrance gate are all in function, the neighbourhoot seems alright for the late arrival and early depertue.

Perfect location for short stay”
I booked this hotel for a weekend getaway with best friends. We were looking for a simple place to sleep within the KL Sentral area and we chose The Bodhi Lodge based on the good reviews. A few days before our arrival, Gigi (the owner, I guess?) emailed me the map and directions to get to The Bodhi Lodge which turned out to be really helpful. It's located around 8 minutes walk from Bangsar LRT station. It was a bit confusing to find the place at first but then I used Google map and found it quite easily. Me and my friends booked the quad room and we were placed in their new building, just behind their first building. The place was really clean and not noisy at all although we were really close to the main road of Bangsar. They provided water dispenser, fridge, and hair dryer in the common area. Two shared bathrooms, one of them was a bit too small for a bathroom I guess. The quad room was ok. We had two bunkbeds which made quite a lot of sounds when someone moves. The air conditioner was a bit hot. They provided lockers in the room, an electric socket for each bed and also a pillow and blanket. All in all, we were satisfied with the price we paid. The location was great, especially when you want to travel with public transportation or need to go to the airport in the morning from KL Sentral. Facilities were ok, sufficient for basic needs. I think this place is suitable for young couples or groups who just need a place to sleep at night. Not really recommend it for family with young children or old parents. Will definitely come back for a short stay with friends.

Effortless accommodation with lovely host”
I'm a backpacker from the US who stayed here for 2 nights. I can't say enough positive things about the Bodhi Lodge. As a solo traveler I appreciated Gege's hospitality during my stay. She made herself available to recommend sites, helping my scatterbrain get directions and overall ensuring a good experience in KL. It's a small hostel: there are several rooms surrounding a common area w/ full kitchen, dining area, 2 public computers and TV. I liked how this area was one big open space as it translated well to nightly chats w/ other travelers (y'all should also ask Gege about her life story! But she will tell you to keep it down past 11PM lol). On my last day, Gege heard I hadn't tried bak kut teh and immediately brought me (and another traveler) to a nearby hot-spot. I also got to try a bunch of other local dishes that I'd normally have no idea how to order. Geez she even lent me her towel so I could grab a quick shower w/o packing a wet towel in my luggage. I stayed in a 2-person room w/ a random Malaysian traveler. Room had fresh sheets and A/C. Room was a little small, but I found myself only there to sleep since the common room was so comfortable. Shower and restroom facilities were clean. There were swipe cards and everything ran well in the hostel. If you're walking from the LRT I recommend looking at the website map first as I got lost. It's embarrassingly easy to find if you have the map. I'd come back here in a heartbeat. One of the best values during my trip to SE Asia. Thanks Gege!
