Perfect stay as a couple! ”
Recently spent a couple of nights here and it was a pleasure.. great room, all the trimmings and such a good deal on Agoda.. Beautiful decor, polite and attentive staff.. breakfast was very good, try the Eggs Benedict with the salmon, my other half said it was the best she’d ever had! Nothing not to like..

Two delightful days in Edinburgh over the holidays”
This hotel is lovely, and the quintessential place to stay if you are looking for Georgian character and charm. The rooms are not cookie-cutter, and they are quiet and private. The bathrooms and all facilities were renovated in excellent taste. Breakfast was very nice, just what we needed, and hot dishes were also available - all you had to do was ask! The wait staff and front staff were lovely and professional. Wide and elegant staircases and beautiful holiday decorations rounded out the charm of this very nice hotel. We were very close to Princes Street, and Rose Street as well, a 5 minute walk through gorgeous Charlotte Square. There is a bar located downstairs where you can get a drink or food, and you also can sit in the very comfy lobby and order, which we did at night to have a snack or drink. I highly recommend the hot toddy! We made the most of our time there and hope to be back one day soon, as everyone was very friendly and accommodating. Many thanks!

BackRoads EDI choice”
It was all wonderful. The very helpful Receptionist helped me a lot & secured a lovely room asap I arrived off a Sydney flight of over a day. Then printed out tickets which I obviously couldn’t & needed ASAP. Pleasant staff, nice kippers for breakfast! Great stay May 2019 to/from B/Roads tour.

Wonderful stay ! ”
Stunning hotel and great service. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only negative I have to say is I wish the restaurant no35 was opened for lunch and dinner when we were there . Also if the in room menu can have a wider selection of food and drinks.

Friendly staff, a great location within easy walking distance of city centre but quiet. Good breakfast and very comfortable rooms with the added bonus of parking at the hotel.

Pet friendly with wonderful staff”
All very last minute. A great find - hotel staff were fantastic. Hotel was dog friendly with a great private park outside which my dog loved. Parking was easy outside the front of the hotel (metered but can use an ap). Room was very spacious and clean. Will def return

Just no.”
Booked for one night with family, asked for a cot bed for a two year old. Was greeted with an old tatty, heavily stained cot with an unstable base and no mattress. Toddler had to sleep in the bed beside us. Ordered room service, two tiny sandwiches arrived with a of couple crisps for company, £9 each with an added £5 charge for a member of staff to bring it to the room. Had 5 dead wasps on the window sill and floor, cafetière hadn’t been cleaned, only two complimentary tea bags, room overlooked a car park, tv only received free view and the room was quite small. All this for the low price of £282 for one night, breakfast not included, that’s an additional £21 each. They also double charged us the price of the room when we left. In summary it’s all fur coat and no knickers. Don’t book.

refurb time”
We stayed at the Bonham on a really good offer unfortunately it really does pay to read all the small print as the hotel downstairs rooms were mostly closed due to the refurb going on. In fact breakfast was available in the bedrooms as no dining room, or bar. I am sure it will be really super when done the bedrooms are really nice but all in all it was a disappointing stay, not helped by being further from the center than I had thought.

Long weekend getaway”
My wife and I spent 4 days at the Bonham Hotel in Edinburgh. The hotel is ideally located for enjoying the beautiful city of Edinburgh. We walked into town every day and had a lot of fun exploring the entire city. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from New Town and about a 5 minute walk from the Edinburgh Castle. We enjoyed the wide array of restaurants for dinner and cafes for breakfast that were all in easy walking distance of the hotel. Our room was clean and the internet was great. If there was anything that was less than excellent from the perspective of the hotel it was the water pressure in our shower was not great, but at the same time it was plenty serviceable. Otherwise the hotel is beautiful and all of the staff was very helpful. I would definitely stay at the Bonham Hotel again in the future.

A boutique hotel in the heart of Edinburgh”
The Bonham is a centrally located hotel, a short walk from the Haymarket train station (with a convenient tram stop from the airport), Princes Street and the Royal Mile. We were able to check in early, way before the normal check-in time, which made is possible for us to take a nap (having arrived on a red-eye flight from the US) before taking our first venture out into the beautiful Edinburgh. The young woman who checked us in (whose name, regretfully, I can't remember being completely jet-lagged at the time) also gave us a map and pointers about what to see and do in Edinburgh. The room was spacious and comfortable, the bathroom was larger than I expected, and the towels were big and luxurious. I cannot comment on the restaurant as we didn't take any of our meals there, but I would definitely recommend this beautiful hotel.

A beautiful traditional hotel”
If you want to stay in Edinburgh at a traditional hotel then the Bonham is an excellent choice. Our bedroom had everything we needed, the reception staff were really helpful and it felt like we were being looked after. Just check for the best available prices - wouldn't have wanted to pay the Bonham standard rate.

can I come back?”
my fourth visit to Edinburgh and the Bonham was everthing I hoped for; I believe that it is one of four privately owned "boutique" hotels, so they do things differently and much better; one disappointment here and in Edinburgh generally was the small number of service staff who spoke with a scottish accent, which detracted a little from the experience; I would make a point of going back to this hotel

Good hotel for Edinburgh tourist”
My wife and I stayed 4 nights. We arrived early, had a quick check in. Our room was not available. The kept our suitcases and when we came back later in the day, the cases had been delivered to our room. Th room (standard) was small - but big enough for the two of us. It was very quiet and clean. The bathroom was nice. We did not eat at the hotel and it was about a 5 min walk to Princess st. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. I would highly reccomend the Bonham

Excellent”
The Bonham is well located, within a short walk of the City Centre but fronting onto a quiet street. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. When my wife and I arrived we were told that work had started to modernise the bedrooms (new furniture and decoration) and refurbish the kitchen. Whilst this didn’t affect our stay it did mean that cooked breakfasts weren’t available on the last two mornings of our visit. Overall a nice and well located hotel.
