Wonderful staff, convenient location, great breakfast”
I would highly recommend this hotel & would definitely stay here again if returning to Rome. The location was very convenient - easy walk to metro & train station making it easy to get to all points of interest. Hotel also provided free use of a cell phone during the stay which made navigating around an unfamiliar city easy without having to pay for an expensive international plan with my own carrier. The staff were just lovely & very helpful. Breakfast is included & was excellent. Rooms, though small, were clean and comfortable. I thought the price was quite reasonable. The Britannia Hotel exceeded my expectations.
WHEN SOMETHING GOES WRONG”
We showed up and they did not have our Rez. No rooms available. I had the printed confirmation for The Britannia. Turns out they are part of a chain and we were booked at another of their property: La Tribune, further away from the Termini. You recognize good operations when something goes wrong. They covered our taxis, upgraded our room, treated us to a bottle of Proseco... and the room we got on the 6th floor of the Tribune (a brand new hotel) was stunning with beautiful view, balcony etc... So, we never stayed at The Britannia but stayed at The Tribune and would certainly recommend it.
Close to train station, boty A & B subways and buses. ”
Room and bathroom were nicely decorated and spacious. Breakfast was delicious. Hotel staff was attentive with restaurant recommendations, directions using buses and made sure we had a cab going back to the airport. Cannot say enough good about The Britannia Hotel Rome. Would definitely stay there again.
Vacation”
We did not stay in this hotel as there was a problem with room. Instead , the hotel sent us to their sister hotel, Independent Hotel, which was perfect for a couples holiday. walking distance from Termini Station and many restaurants nearby to eat. Room was very clean and staff were extremely friendly. Breakfast was great. WiFi connectivity was good. They allowed us to keep our bags at the lobby although we checked out already since our flight was at night. Would definitely come back to Independent Hotel again if we go to Rome.
Just lovely”
I absolutely adored this hotel - from the staff to the accommodations to the location. It was a perfectly safe (and short) walk from the train which I appreciated since my flight arrived late and departure time was before sunrise. I couldn't be happier with this hotel and will definitely stay at the Britannia again on my next visit to Rome.
Exceptional”
This is a charming, boutique hotel located close to and within walking distance of Roma Termini. Room was cosy (as advertized), well-appointed, and efficiently set up. It also helped that it had high ceilings. Well appointed as well. Staff were friendly, welcoming and very helpful. A big plus in favor of this hotel is its provision of the Manet smartphone to its guests, which provides you with free international telephone service, GPS, tour and restaurant suggestions etc. Makes navigating Rome easier for those of us who cannot read maps well.
Amazing staff!!”
When I come back to Rome, I’ll definitely choose Britannia again, not only for the location (extremely convenient!!) but for the friendly staff, specially Simona at front desk who generously summarize what should be seen and how to get there. The breakfast was tasty and the chocolate cake was too hard to resist. I would give 10 stars for the people, not 5
Wonderful hotel, location, and amazing staff!”
We began and ended our tour of Italy at this hotel. When we returned we were welcomed back as cherished guests. The staff at this hotel rushed to take our luggage and gave us a tour of the hotel and our room upon arrival. They were so incredibly friendly with directions and recommendations for local food and attractions. The rooms were spacious and clean with beautiful high-quality decorations and the building itself lends such a historic and charming feel. The breakfast and COFFEE were delicious and the location was fantastic for walking to restaurants and shopping. The area felt very safe for a family with young children to explore. The metro is very close but I would definitely recommend a Taxi if traveling from Tremi Station as it is too far to walk with luggage. We will definitely be returning to this hotel upon our next visit to Rome.
Hidden Jewel in Rome ”
Nothing negative to say!! I just recently spent three nights at the Britannia and it was the best decision I made. The location is perfect, the service, the breakfast, and the staff are beyond amazing! The rooms are small but perfect size , clean and very tasteful decorated. if u r not traveling with excessive luggage this hotel is for u!! You won’t be disappointed
Fab-u-lous!”
My sister and I had booked a twin bed room and were dismayed to find that, due to renovation works being undertaken, we had to have a room with a double bed....BUT...what a bed! and what a room! The bed was the size of a small planet and the room was a suite! With a terrace! It was really good and the staff were charming, helpful and friendly. The breakfast was superb with such a variety of fresh fruits, veg, nuts, bread, cheese, meats....everything you could imaging! Excellent in every way. Thank you Britannia!
Tourist in Rome”
We were in Rome for two days. We checked into the hotel at about 10:30 Saturday morning after traveling all night. Our room was ready! The elevator was typical Europe - very small. We could not fit with our luggage! The room was very tiny, but perfect. The mini bar was stocked and the bathroom great! The staff was very nice and helpful and, we were within walking distance of the train station. I would stay there again.
Pleasant Stay in Rome”
The pros: nice staff, clean rooms, good value, comfortable hotel, good breakfast. Cons: I didn't really care for the location but wanted to be close to Rome Termini. If you're looking for a top notch hotel in a prime location, then Via Veneto is the place to be. You'll be spending a lot of money though.
Excellent location.”
Friendly, polite and professional staff. The phones in room were brilliant to take out with you and use as a map . The location is central to all top Rome attractions. Hotel was quiet despite its central location.
Cute little room”
The hotel is a stylish cute little number tucked perfectly up a side street off Via Nationale, a bustling high street, and is not too far from major attractions such as the Trevi Fountain or the Colosseum. The rooms are clean, very chic and tidy as are the staff with the addition of being warm and friendly at all times. I have never said this before, but I would definitely return to this hotel after my stay here, should I return to Rome.
Exceptional”
Everything about the hotel was perfect - the location close to main tourist sites and public transport (subway, rain station, bus stops), great breakfast with variety of choice, clean and elegant rooms. If ever back to Rome, we will definately stay in the same place!
A few days in Rome”
We had a comfortable stay at the Britannia. The bed was great. Very clean and welcoming. Breakfast had a good variety and high quality offerings. Hotel could use a little freshening up, but all in all a very nice stay.
LOVED IT!”
This Hotel is the best choice in our opinion! Not our first trip to Rome, but by far the best Hotel experience. The staff went above and beyond our expectations on all levels. We were travelling with a young baby, and they were beyond accommodating with us to make our stay the most comfortable possible. I have never experienced such a clean Hotel, and such a pleasant stay while in Europe. We will be going back there for sure!!
Best Hotel in Rome”
My husband and I stayed a few nights here during a two week long trip through Europe. It was by far our favorite hotel! It’s a boutique hotel built it of a historical building, but each room welcomes you with a vibrant color scheme, mirrors to create an open feeling, a super comfortable bed, and the best shower of my life. We will absolutely look to stay here again when we return to Rome!
Amazing hotel. We got a good deal”
We paid a little over $110 for at least twice that in value. The hotel room was tiny per usual but exquisite. The staff was wonderful. The breakfast was superb. The location was good. Definitely consider this hotel on a vacation to Rome.
Nice hotel at convenient location”
The hotel is conveniently located just minutes away from Rome central station, ancient ruins, excellent restaurants and shopping street. The executive room with terrace g
