Awful standards, no hot water, should be classified 2 star
If you are planning to stay here I wouldn't bother. It is shabby and grotty and not at all well maintained. I was unable to have a shower due to there being no hot water (at 6.15am), and I am so glad I chose not to have breakfast there. The member of staff on reception couldn't really care less when mentioned the hot water issue and simply grunted when I said the room was unpleasant. I won't be staying again.

Friendly and Convenient
Only a couple of minutes from South Kensington Tube Station The Bromton is in a perfect location. Straight in on the Underground from Heathrow on the Piccadilly Line and thereafter an easy hub for whatever you need to do in London. For the tourist, the hotel is perfect for visiting the Museums and Knightsbridge, Hyde Park and other sites. For the business traveler it offers a good base with reasonable facilities (Sat TV, tea and coffee, on suite). Breakfast is basic but delivered to your room on a tray and came exactly at the time requested - tea and toast. I would be happy to return. Staff were very friendly and helpful - let me check in a little early and also looked after my bag for a few hours after check-out.

Ok just for an overnight stay
It was close to a tube station and cheaper than other hotels.We struggled finding the place Altho it was simple when you knew where it was.The bathroom was tiny and the shower only ran cold water.The toilet didn't flush very well.Breakfast was included at no extra cost but this wasn't made clear by staff (the website said breakfast wasn't included).It was only egg and toast which wasn't mentioned.Even tho we cancelled breakfast,staff obviously didn't get the message as it was still left outside our room.They don't trust you with your key either.You have to leave it at reception.

Not much worked
I only just reviewed this hotel recently but on this occasion it was a nightmare The shower was only letting out pure hot water so we had to literally dive in and out The lady on reception was extremely rude The toast was rock hard and crumbled when trying to place butter I had a bad knee and asked for a room close to reception but they gave me a room 2 flights of stairs up which made my knee buckle I've stayed here a few times but after this I will be looking elsewhere It was a nightmare

Good place just to sleep
Great location, comfortable bed, easy check-in/out
Stayed for two nights solo. Great location by museums and tube station. Not a very helpful staff and there are many stairs for heavy luggage. Overall was what I expected for the type of stay I was going for, just me, nothing special, needed a place to sleep.

The hotel was disappointing

Ok. It wasn't too bad but the hotel needs to sort a few things out like making sure to get rid of the ants in the rooms, shower knobs were missing and broken. the staff was not helpful at all!!!

Great location, depressing hotel
location, location, location
Reception was functional and unwelcoming. Room was small, very basic, somewhat tired and completely without character. It was very warm despite having the window open and it being mid September. Staying in the heat of summer with no a/c would be unbearable. Quite noisy from traffic two levels down. I was on third level. No lift so not ideal for anyone with heavy bags or lacking mobility. Bathroom had been re-tiled nicely but otherwise run down (no sink plug, peeling bath panel, chipped bath) Shower worked well. Bed was clean but pretty lumpy. Good flat screen TV with limited Freeview channels. Inclusive wifi worked fine. Location is excellent. Wouldn't want to spend more than one night there and probably wont return. Expensive for what it was, but this is London so what do you expect!
