We have been a regular since many years back and we travels to Tokyo at least twice yearly. It is the only hotel we stayed in Tokyo as Capitol never disappoint. Love the serene surroundings and of course we love speaking to the GM Aoyama every time. Staff are friendly and there will not be any communication barrier as they speak fluent English.

Definitely i will be back”
Omg, i love this hotel so so much. Location-wise, you don't need to worry about getting lost as they have 3 different metro lines just downstairs of the hotel. Highly regarded service, and cleanliness (they have super wonderful housekeeping service). As it is nestled in the heart of Akasaka, where it is very close to Roppongi and other tourists spots by rail, you can find many different restaurants, shopping attractions etc (you just need to walk a bit from the hotel). Price is not cheap because it is 5-star hotel but you pay for their service and locations. If you are thinking of family trip with small kids, i don't recommend. It is more for people who do the business travel and they seek for the serene and tranquil environment they can relax after the long day. So if you wanna find somewhere quiet staying away from the noise, but convenient, I recommend highly. It is worth the price.
A little bit how of the way! Clean perfect! Lovely architecture! Practical with Metro underneath! I loved it

Average hotel ”
More flexibility in check out compare to Keio Plaza Grand. Wanted me to pay for one night fare for extending till 3pm. This Capitol only needed me to pay 30% for late check out.

Really perfectly run hotel”
Everything you could ask for in a higher end hotel. All issues and requests were flawlessly handled (restaurant reservations, transportation, directions, and stay requests). Great location to jump straight on transit system (stop located in basement).
Great location, quiet and great service and not too expensive compare with other 5 star hotels.

Excellent Hotel and Visit”
I will confirm what other reviewers have already written. This is a very elegant hotel but with very friendly and helpful staff, great access to Tokyo subway lines, very comfortable and spacious rooms, and views of the Tokyo skyline that are breathtaking. I would definitely stay at this hotel when I next return to Tokyo.
Whereas hotel rooms in Tokyo are usually smaller in size, the Capitol's rooms were spacious and of great quality - very impressive. The view from our top floor room was even better. The location was a little farther than most neighborhoods we would visit, but the subway station right underneath the hotel has all the major lines connecting to all other venues so it was great. We would definitely go back.
Great hotel - very helpful staff - convenient location”
Fantastic rooms and lovely staff, amazing views of tokyo from the rooms - lot of options for dining in - bit on the expensive side - but just around akasaka and rappongi so you will have alot of options to eat out.
Pros - glamorous hotel with lots of space - one of the best hotel bathrooms ever with a rainfall shower and enclosed shower and bath tub area that can double function as a steam room. - convenience store at basement 2 - access to 3 subway lines from basement 2 CONS: - immediate area may be ideal for a quiet part of the city, but restaurants are quite far - breakfast selection is small but good enough quality -
Beautiful hotel, a bit hard to find”
Everything was perfect, the room was beautiful. Maybe, the only problem is that it's a bit difficult to reach by walking from the Akasaka restaurant area (it's a bit easier if you walk through the subway station) and some taxi drivers don't seem to know it. But the rest was perfect.
The Capitol Hotel - service at its best”
From the door man who greets you to the cleaning and hospitality staff, Capitol is quality with a capital Q. Unlike many other hotels, I found the staff easy to chat with even though I do not speak Japanese. The area is very quiet on weekends and after-hours, however, there are lots of shops within easy walking distance if you need them.
very good hotel!”
Thx Capitol hotel Tokyo let us to have such great experience stay! Everything is perfect , is safe, big, clean, well design, great location, the staffs are really helpful. I will only stay in this hotel when I back to Tokyo . Highly recommend , you will get more than you think😁
standards has dropped over the years”
IT contrasted quite significantly to my first stay. staff performance dropped, ( some of the staff were not as well mannered) and also forgot my request for a twin bed which i had told them way in advance many months back, which they had to resort me to a twin bed smoking room eventually ( i do not smoke) My rooms ( 45 sqm versus 71 * rough estimation) was much smaller than my first stay although i paid the same price Now that the hotel is more well known and achieving higher occupancies than when i stayed the last time their standards dropped.
Nothing is here , But all are Near ”
I booked this hotel due to price different from other 5 star by almost 60% cheaper ... As I stay I found that nothing is in the location of Hotel for me ... However it is 15-20 mins to where I usually go have lunch or dinner ... So weird ... But it makes dinner and lunch much easier to get to in that sense I am hardly late ... However limited things to do for real serious foodie ... Nothing to shop for brand ... However if taxi is ur main transport and u can pay ... It is easy to close to everywhere ... Nothing ( best restaurants ) was more than 3000 yen away
Extreamly Joyful hotel”
the stuff was so kind to provide such a high level service (I don't know whether it's because I came from Tiawan or not, he said he love Taiwan <3）The room was clean and huge, I really love the shampoo and body soap they gave, it's even better than the one I use in my house. Though it's not located near down town and there's no shopping place nearby, it's still very convenient to go anywhere, since it is near the 國會議事堂/溜池山王 station. And I don't think it's expensive, I think it's really worth to stay and I'll sure go stay there again.
The New Classic”
It was by far one of the best hotels i've ever stayed in my life. The room layout was modern, yet japanese, and very straightforward. Shower is at the best location. The views are wall to wall. Outside its a lot greenery and blue skies (not towers and city). Staff is super friendly and on-point with all my service needs. Perfection in a hotel. Design is fabulous, by a world famous Japanese Architect.
Fine overall, not spectacular”
My two nights were without any great highs and with only one quibble. That is, the charge to guests for the use of the jacuzzi and spa facilities. This should not be continued. For the price one pays to stay this is more than a bit off-putting. I have rarely encountered the practice in other Asian luxury hotels, and never in Hong Kong, to take just one example. That said, I was pleased by the comforts of the room and the taste of the decoration throughout. But "best in the world"? Not by a long shot.
