From the moment I entered the hotel to the minute I left it was 100% positive experience. The staff was very friendly and courtesy and the entire facility was clean from top to bottom. Beautiful Hotel inside and out. If your not staying here your missing out on the best place to stay in Bloomington/Normal.

Different Experience”
I enjoyed my stay. It was a little quirky - I felt like I was staying in a castle. There was a huge fireplace and a laced canopy bed which was a pleasant surprise. The staff was super friendly and it was very clean even though they were working on some renovations.

It's been a long time since I've stayed anywhere other than one of the big name places. This was a wonderful experience. The AC was one you control.. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The building was AMAZING!!

The building is under construction and the plumbing needs to be upgraded, but the facility and rooms are very clean. The area is excellent and has everything you need within walking distance. We really enjoyed our stay!

Every time I travel to Bloomington for business, I am never disappointed because of this enchanting hotel! I travel for a living and have never found accommodations that exceed my standards! The hotel clerks are so personal one would think they own the hotel! Top-notch service, the most elegant rooms and the most elegant hotel structure I have ever had the pleasure staying at!

My husband and I have stayed at this property on several occasions (we have season tickets to a local Shakespeare festival). Although this is what might be considered an older property it is well maintained, clean, has many amenities and is conveniently located to both the local businesses and the venue where we attend.

spacious and original hotel ”
Chateau pronounced as "shato" means castle in French. I lived in France for a few years so this name attracted my attention. The hotel has many interesting original features that made my stay comfortable and interesting.

A Gem of a hotel”
This place was wonderful, we mentioned we were celebrating or wedding anniversary and they up graded us to a 2 room suite . It was extraordinary. They recommended a steak house and it was very nice , just what we wanted.. Please stay here if you can it was a lovely place.

Great overnight stay”
The hotel is lovely. The rooms are big and well equipped. It was truly an enjoyable stay. Breakfast was a wrapped danish (of really good quality) with coffee made in your room. Don't know if that was because of Covid, but the price was right 😊.

Great value and cool aesthetic”
This was a great place to stop and sleep! We love the french chateau decor, it felt so unique. The rooms were comfortable and adequate. There is some updating/remodeling needed and in progress, so a little worn, but that didn't bother us. The weekend hot breakfast was great. The week day selection of cheap packaged pastries was disappointing. Staff was very friendly both times we were there.

Very nice. Excellent atmosphere. Accomomadations were above average. Free breakfast was delicious. Rates were much lower than most in the area. Excellent value! Our go to whenever we're in the area!

Loved the character and uniqueness of this hotel. Very reasonable as far as price. Rooms were very clean and decent sized as well! Staff was super friendly. The pool and hot tub was closed bc it was currently under construction. I personally would choose a hotel with character than a typical/average hotel and the Chateau had that character!! I highly recommend. No complaints here!

A Respite from Corporate Sameness”
Nice to see the new owners of the former Jumer's are investing in this beautiful facility. Most hotels and restaurants in Bloomington-Normal are boring corporate vanilla, but The Chateau is engaging, warm and charming. Everything was very clean and staff particularly helpful when we added a day to our stay. Highly Recommended ;<)

My only complaint is all the double queen rooms are a very long walk to elevator. For anyone who has trouble walking far and needs a double queen prepare for this. And manager is very hard to get in touch with.
