I booked a room for 2 days going by the ratings of previous visitors. To be honest I was a little disappointed. There was nothing majorly wrong with the room but all the equipment /furnishings in the room are very old. The AC took it's own time to cool the room and there was a slight foul smell in the room. The staff were very friendly and quick to respond. They called us couple of times just to check if everything is upto our satisfaction. Full points for that. Breakfast was decent but nothing extravagant.

Poor staff and dishonest”
Clean, location ,
Worst staff at front desk in one month and a half in India. They tried to make me pay the room arguing that they did not received the agoda booking and they refused to call agoda until my very deep insistance and arguing.

Good Hotel but Booking through Agoda not welcome”
Clean, attentive staff , decent restaurant
Good Hotel, Clean rooms, attentive staff. Booked Hotel Chevron through Agoda, I had an issue while Check in - a few months back, was asked to go another property Hotel Parag behind Chevron Hotel as the rooms were full in Chevron, I went and stayed there, experience was not good as Chevron, it must be cheaper Hotel than Chevron in my view. Last week again I booked in Chevron Hotel thru Agoda, this time was told that some plumbing work was going on and was again asked to go to Hotel Paraag, I refused. Therefore , if booked thru Agoda there is no guarantee that you will get to stay in Hotel Chevron.

Careful with internet booking”

Hotel booking was done by Agoda for Chevron Hotel and room were confirmed as well. To our disappointment when reaching Chevron Hotel we are being told that no rooms were available and we are being forced to shift to Paraag Hotel(affiliated to Chevron Hotel,rates were cheaper than previously book and no compensation. Also note above ratings is for Paraag since we stayed there

Location, Cleanliness,
We were a group of 6 and has pleasant stay at the Chevron. We stayed for 1 night only so there's not much we could try out. We did however try their room service once during our stay and the food was good. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Room for Improvement: 1) Housekeeping needs to be trained in simple English at the very least. We had to call 3 times to request for extra mugs/glasses. 2) Reception should clarify all necessary questions with the tour leader alone and need to calm down, their eagerness to please can get a little annoying. My phone wouldn't stop ringing the first day we checked in. My friend mentioned this to me after we left the hotel if not I would have brought this up personally to Mr. Manjunath as the receptionist kept calling to see when they would be checking out their rooms. Other than that still an excellent hotel and I would definitely be checking in again soon.
