Helpful staff. Not a bad location.”
The first time when i tried to go to this hotel, i spent at least 30mins after i got off the boat. Beacause the google map is not very clear. Actully, the location is not that bad. Only 5 mins walk to river boat port number 3. A lot of express boats pass by in every 10 mins go up to north and down south. In the Bangkok, only boats and trains can escape the terrible traffic. All three colour flag (orange, yellow, bule) all stop at port number three. Ten mins walk to state train station which is also next to location train station. There is a five star hotel just next to the port number three, so the on street eating nearby is expensive. Unless you can walk 20mins to China town to eat on the street. Staffs are all very friendly and helpful. Very tiny room, but very neat design of the hotel. Wifi only works on the first and ground floors. But you can sit in the bar area to use wifi. And there are two computers can be used for free.

They don't get any smaller”
I was coming to Bangkok by train Tuesday going somewhere and back by train Wednesday and returning to Khon Kaen Thursday by train so closeness to BKK RS was paramount. The Chilli Bangkok gave me this at a good price. The airconditioner worked well and ensuite was OK. BUT---- the room was the smallest I have ever stayed in The bed took up the whole length of the room and left about 50cm on one side. No tv or bedside table . When I came to shower---no soap. I was informed soap was not part of the deal. The receptionist was very friendly and spoke good English. Internet was available free of charge as was coffee. The hotel is about 200m from main road at the end of a Soi with 3 x90deg. turns . Taxi cannot get down there . Be prepared for a walk

Friendly staff, close to train station”
We stayed here because we needed to go to the Portuguese embassy which is within walking distance. It is a modern guesthouse, the staff are very friendly and welcoming and helpful. It is close to china town for nice street food and a short walk to the bangkok train station with easy access to Siam square and other parts of bangkok. Bed was not very comfortable as base is made of pallets and the only electricity socket is near the ceiling meaning when charging my iPad I had to leave it balanced on the coat rack- which did however solve the problem. Harder for woman who may want to use a hair dryer though! Otherwise the hotel is perfectly fine for its purpose.

Small space but close to Hualampong”
We stayed 2 nights inside this little hotel to be quick to train station from that we'd planned to take trips to Kanchanaburi and Hua Hin. Besides it was a little hard to find the alley the hotel is loacated at first hand, the room had everything we needed for staying overnight. Of course little space to drop off clothes, but as backpacker we had just a few things inside our 7kg bags. Washing and drying stuff was possible and getting food was possible some hundred meters up Charoen Krung Road. After we left the hotel to start the one trip, I figured to had forgetten my necklace inside the room,. I contacted the hotel to pick it up in 4 days before leaving to Udon Thani. For some reason that didn't work out, but I hoped to have convinve the desk person to send it towards me by air mail. About 4 weeks later I finally received a letter with my stuff inside, which made me a very happy person that day. Thank you again for this extra effort to make this happen. See you soon again!

Unique style and design”
The design of the hotel is very modern and rooms have the perfect size and cute features (decent plasma TV, and great shower)... The front desk staff is very helpful and polite. Just a few things to improve: manke sure you will have a mal of the area because is a bit tricky to get to the hotel, Internet signal is kind of poor inside the rooms)

Small Rooms, Location is near river”
We only stayed at Chilli for one night but it was a good hostel room. The bed nearly touched all 4 sides of the room and the shower was nice and hot. Super small but if all you want is a clean bed and a shower, the place is perfect. It was very cramped for two people to move around in there, but we spent most of our time out of the room. The staff is great and it has a great family feel to the place. The location is down an alley away from anything that looks like it might lead you to a hotel/hostel. We would stay here again if we need to be by the river and just need a bed and shower.

Small but modern hotel in Chinatown”
nice location-- just minutes from good dining options and taxis to escort you to temples or yaowarat (chinatown). the staff was very friendly and accommodating-- but didn't speak a lot of english. that didn't really pose a problem for me as i can speak a fair bit of thai. the architecture of the building was really interesting and modern. the hotel features huge windows and a lot of exposed metal/concrete, which lend the place a distinctive, industrial feel. the room, on the other hand, were small. by small, i mean it was the same size as the bed. hahaa-- however, there was air conditioning and a large window which helped make the room seem more open and "airy." the free internet and coffee were nice pluses.

Nice hotel, good value for money”
Nice hotel hidden in the side street. close to the boat stop (30 minutes to Grand Palace, 45 to Khaosan) and bts train. The room was extra small, basically just the bed and bathroom but clean and ok for us.

Testing a hostel ”
my stay at the chilli Bangkok hotel was okay the smell in the bathroom was bad smelling but other than that the room was very good. bathroom was not that good because no ventilation to release smells. I would definitely try it again if they add air vents. Current state, I wouldn't come back

It defines the word "Cheap"”
I would only suggest (not recommend) The Chilli Bangkok Hotel to experienced travellers who may wish to "transit" Bangkok for 1 to 2 days and don't want to stay at an airport hotel. For those travellers who have never been to Bangkok (this is my 7th visit in 11 months and I like to stay in and experience/explore a different neighbourhood each time) I would caution against staying at this property for many reasons including: - No complimentary soap, shampoo or conditioner is supplied. Management will advise you to purchase these and other items at a 7Eleven. - The "rooms" are very, very, very small (approximately 8 feet by 8 feet - and that includes your diminutive toilet/shower area). Whilst you can stay in a single room (which provides privacy and security of your property that might otherwise be absent in a "dorm" room, people who are over 5 feet 8 inches in height or 1.70(?)metres may find the length of The Chilli Bangkok Hotel's beds a bit challenging. - The Chilli Bangkok Hotel's WIFI range does not reliably extend to the property's upper floors. (TCBH has 4 floors) - My experience has been that the Night Manager has an unusual interest in your hotel towel usage! I was questioned "why I used a new towel everyday?" I politely replied that "I walk in the heat everyday and shower twice a day." - You have to repeatedly ask that your room be cleaned and be prepared to follow this up if it is not done by 3pm. - A key component of the Hospitality Industry is a happy or pleasant disposition and a commitment to service. Both Day and Night Managers seem to find this challenging if you elect to stay longer than 2 days. - My observation was, at least, 2 younger travellers (in their early/mid 20s) elected to leave The Chilli Hotel within 2 days to find more suitable living quarters.

Backpacker Hostel - not a hotel. Very clean”
Fairly new. Rooms are very small, but very clean. This is really an upscale backpacker hostel to me. Not a hotel. Great internet, laundry machines to do laundry, all new wood floors in rooms, staff will help you plan your trip....they are great. One person is about all that fits in one room. Double bed size. Good A/C

Cheap, but very small rooms”
this hotel is located at the end of a very small street about 1,5 kms form hua longphong station. the rooms are very very small (3x2,8m) and you have a bathroom included. it means that you have the bed, and to walk, you have only 3m x 0,5m. no furniture except the bed, you cannot put only a chair. the rooms are clean and the most impressive thing in this hotel is the staff, who is very very nice and friendly. it's a good hotel if you want cheap room, only to sleep.

Good for backpackers”
It started off bad by when they tried to downgrade my room to a single, when I booked a double. When I questioned them about this, they said they had no double room. I asked for the difference refunded from a double to a single and they offered a ridiculous refund. So when i asked them to show me the prices, they couldn't find them and they eventually gave a double room, which was strange, when they said they didn't have one. The toilet didn't flush properly. I managed to fix this myself. The rest of the stay was good enough. The room is clean enough but the rooms are very small. You don't have enough space to put your bags down. I would say it's ideal for backpackers who are looking for a cheap clean place to stay.

Clean hotel, just that location a lil bit off”
Overall the stay is quite good, just that the location of the hotel is a little bit far to the central. The service staff are friendly to us, and the room we have stayed in is quite clean. Good for budget traveller!
