Beach , bar, pier , pool , restaurant , room.”

At what seemed like the end of the island, nestling between the jungle and the sea The Cinnamon Art Resort and Spa is surrounded by a canopy of flora and fauna. The bungalows and rooms are conneced by woooden walkways to the bar, restaurant, pier, pool and the barn sized reception. Poy and his team will look after you. They can rent you a bike, organise a massage/boat trip/get you to the ferry for your onward trip. I am sure if its on the island they can sort it. The pier extends for what seems like a mile into crystal clear waters and you can scuba dive amongst the fish. The infinity pool is surrounded by coconut trees and colourful manicured shrubs and bushes .If you sit here long enough you'll take root. I can't wait to go back!

Good hotel esp for group tour, but not for couple”

private beach, private pier, nice and big room, valuable prices

I stayed at this hotel for 3 days. If you book the hotel via the hotel itself, then you can purchase a tour package which is a very good deal inc. all meals, snorkeling tour, island tour, kayak, and more. The hotel has its pier, so choose the speed boat wisely from Trad to Koh Mak, since each speed boat will reach at different piers on Koh Mak. The room and facilities are okay. You can hire motorcycle to travel on your own on this small island. Check the map carefully, since it's not that clear and may get lost. Food is okay. Drawback of this hotel is .. it allows group tour to have activities, and the noise is so loud. They can even have an outdoor karaoke even until 10pm .. If you don't mind about the noise, then this is a good choice. For me, I'm happy with my stay, and will be back here again. PS: Bed is very hard, but not the problem for me too.

        Friendly, beautiful and peaceful ”

Although this resorts needs some maintenance TLC, it has a lot of rustic charm. The gardens are beautiful, pool is big and has a great view, rooms and nicely decorated and comfortable. The area and beach is the cleanest I've seen on this island. Litter is almost non-existent and there are nets to stop it drifting in in the tide. The pier is long and you can see fish from it. There are mangrove trees, too and sandy areas to enjoy from the pier. The people are very friendly and helpful. This is a natural place to retreat to with beautiful landscaping and scenery.

This place is amazing, we had the whole place to ourselfs, incredible views, huge room and massive pool, the biggest on the island, would stay here again, you will need a motor bike to see the amazing island, but they do run taxi's into town. The room are so big i could easily live there and the view from the front door is amazing looking out to sea and the huge pier. 10 out of 10 for us staying here, very helpful staff as well always with a smile.

Amazing spot but overall poor staff and service”

The area is amazing: great spot by the sea, a long pier reaching out to the sea so long you can snorkel without even having to take a boat! The beach bar on the pier is great and the barman really nice, but he is most likely (with one or two other people there) the only friendly staff in the entire facility. Indeed, I've rarely ever faced such a cold welcome: we felt like we were intruding since the moment we stepped in, the employee who welcomed us seemed physically incapable of the tinest smile and it was pretty clear running the hotel was the last thing he wanted to be doing. Overall it was a pleasant stay but definitely not worth the price: no wifi in the room, the AC broke down 2 nights in a row... which are elements I really don't mind putting up with but not when you pay one hundred dollars a night. Would be an amazing hotel if it changed its management

        Poor location and breakfast ”

The breakfast was very poor, to say the least (especially the awful supermarket sausages). This is not a breakfast you should be getting paying 4,500 THB a night. The long pier was great, but there was no wind and no waves (blazing hot) on this side of the island. The location is very remote and there are no restaurants or bars nearby. My room was not cleaned before I came in and it was only cleaned the second day. The Cinnamon resort looked more like a getaway for local tourists, but not for an international crowd. It was certainly not value for money and I regret having made the booking. The bartender was nice, though, but this was the only highlight.

        Could be better”

        Relaxing atmosphere

there were no other hotels available due to the new year holiday season. private beacth is completely unusable. high tides and the water is brown with floating litter although they try to clean it as much as possible. local people told us that this resort cut down the mongrove trees to make their own beach, which explains the brown water and made us feel uncomfortable staying there. the resort is isolated and far from other resorts. but you can rent a scooter and strongly recommend to do so (or call a taxi - 50baht per ride) as there are better beaches elsewhere, in case you happen to stay here. breakfast was very limited but food for lunch & dinner were good though we had to wait a while to get one dish out.. need to know how to turn on the hot water for shower. very hard beds... resort atmosphere is nice but walkways needs to be repaired as we felt a little dangerous walking on rotten woods. hotel trash was dumped and left in the backyard. not sure when and how they are collected or cleaned up. one day, our room was not cleaned and had to come back later several times. shockingly, cleaning staff were sweeping all dust and trash outside on to the garden ground.. although we see their effort, this resort needs to work on some of the basics..
