Shower with warm water, and share stories with people from all over the world ”
It's more than a place just for sleep. I met people from all over the world, Philippines, France, Englan, Switzerland and so on. We share our stories, traditions, cultures and passions. It's my first time abroad, and people there show me the right way to travele: be open for different ideas, and sharing everything you get. By the way, they get another Cicle Hostel near San Juan beach, I transfered to that one after two days because there was a storm in Baler.

Near the surfing spot”
We booked here because I find it amusing how eco friendly this hostel is. I would definitely come back here and recommend this to friends. We booked surfing lessons in this place too.

Great value, nice feel, good location”
surf-verse feel and very modest yet homey accommodation. I f yo do not have issues with common bath (kept very clean by the way) this place is cool. It has unpretentiously nice spaces to laze about. Dont expect breakfast, they only serve banana and peanut butter sandwich with coffee and Im defintiely fine with that. And really super affordable.

I love the breakfast!”
The common room is a very good place to chill. I just hope the staff would tell other customers to tone down their voices when its quiet time already. Other than that, i loved it ♥️

My home away from the city”
I have been coming here since February this year and this is the perfect place to meet new friends, chill, and just have a good time. I spent my birthday and Christmas here and it was a blast, felt like family. Definitely recommend for those who want great company. The Circle hostel has become my staple homestay when I want to surf in baler.

Community Vibe is 🔥”
It is my second time to stay at their place, and as always it does not disappoint. You'll get what you pay for + they do have some events that you should join! They also host regular beach clean up. :)

Poor Customer Service”
The place is generally ideal for those who will spend most of their time exploring the island. Total sum of our cash deposits were not returned upon checkout. The front office staff has varying statements about it which are very misleading so we just gave up. Front yard of our room was filled with smelly dog poops.

Messy place and unfriendly staff”
Check in time is 2pm, we arrived 6-7pm and our room is not yet fixed. They say its not avail or no avail room. We're the one who fixed the bed with 100php deposit for bed and pillow cover. A hostel with so many rules. Cant do this, cant do that but the hostel is so messy and smells cigar. Not value for your money! Pics also deceiving.

value for money”
the place will give you the feeling of not wanting to go back to manila. that 2nights stay gave me the best vacation-feels i could ever have. i don't know if it was meant to be, but during our stay the place was less crowded due to an upcoming typhoon which made the people cancel their bookings. and unfortunately, there was really no typhoon, rain or whatsoever. it was just all windy on the first day, so we did an enjoyable hostel bumming and siesta which is equivalently worthit with going out to the beach. then the next day was a perfect weather and goodwaves so we're able to surf as well and roam around the foodhouses! the hostel is just across the beach, a few walks that i promise wouldn't even matter. it was actually good because you're far from the maincrowd of the beachfront. the hotel staff are great, as well as little dindin the cute sunshine smiling kid. the hostel is very clean and well maintained even the cr. there's no power socket on the rooms so you dont have a choice but to charge in the common area and get along with others if you really wanted a power on your battery haha and i think that was the brightest idea ever in this hostel. if you want to cook, everything you need is in their kitchen. one last thing that made circle hostels unique is that you get the chance to create, leave an art or a message for everyone to see :]

Excellent”
Booking was a breeze! It's my first time to stay in a hostel in PH so I went to the extreme and booked for a hammock accomodation. The Circle Baler didn't disappoint. I was welcomed to stay at the common area even if I arrived way earlier than check-in time. Mokong's hospitality and service was exceptional. He made sure everyone feel safe and at home and having a grand time. He generously gave us papaya when he learned it's our fave! In terms of facilities, it can get hot at the hammock area but electric fans are readily available and you can actually chill upstairs too where it is more breezy. Toilet and shower area is expectedly clean and water is always available. Kitchen area needs a little tidying with help from guests who use it (yep, you can cook and share). Overall, I'd always come back to Baler for this hostel and the waves.

Friendliest Hostel in Town”
The Circle Hostel in Baler is a great place to stay for backpackers, especially for those looking for a place to crash while on a surf trip. It's just a few steps away from the Sabang Beach break so it's very convenient especially for that early morning surf session. The place has a very chill vibe and prides itself for its sustainable efforts (including plastic bottle recycling). There's a good selection of accommodations from hammocks, shared rooms, and the usual bedroom for those who want more privacy. Food can use some variety but there are nearby places to eat so it isn't much of an inconvenience. It's great for solo travelers because the staff and the people who regularly stay here are very friendly. Expect non-stop drinking every night and new friends on your stay!

Bucklist-worthy experience”
Yes it’s worth putting this Hostel in your travel bucketlist. Perfect chillin place. Cool & super friendly staff and crowd. Great ambiance. 3-5min walk to the beach. No power plugs in the rooms, it’s all in the common area, which is a perfect place to chill. Toilet and showers are fairly clean but bring your own toiletries. Free drinking water in the pantry, you can cook your own food if you don’t want to go out. Stove use has a fee of Php50. Free coffee, bread and fruit every morning. My bestfriend and I stayed for 3 nights and It’s worth every penny. We booked the buddy room with 1 bunk bed inside. There are other cheaper options like co-ed dorms and hammocks. We did some tours as well. Baler Full day tour is Php800.00 PER TOUR, regardless of how many pax are in the group. Side note: Be careful walking along Buton street with phone in hand & screen light on. Always walk with/in a group. I almost lost my phone to a “riding in tandem”. Thank god for mobile phone ring.

1st in Baler”
The people are so welcoming. Ate Viah and Kuya Onyo never failed to answer all our queries. The other guests are also kind and very chill which really made the place a good vibe. The place is nice. Every space is instagrammable. The colorful designs made it so beautiful and entertaining at the same time. We have no bad exprience on our stay and we're looking forward to visit again soon. We also want to try the other Circle Hostel in La Union and Zambales. It's nice to be part of the circle. :)
