Excellent stay in the heart of Ambon”
The city hotel was a fantastic stay in the heart of Ambon. After spending a few extra days in the Banda's due to cancelled ferries and a 14 hour ride back on the Pelni we checked into the city hotel for a night before catching a flight to Jakarta. The rooms were clean, the food at their rooftop restaurant was great and the service was excellent as well. They were able to arrange our transport to the airport in the morning with a quality driver and car. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to spend a couple of nights in Ambon it is a truly lovely hotel.

Great Hotel in Ambon”
The city hotel was clean, well run and provided everything we needed. The rooms were comfortable and nice and the rooftop restaurant was great. I didn't expect to be able to find such a nice meal in Ambon. Everything we tried was delicious and the ambiance was really fun as well. It was a great place to stay on our way back from the Banda Islands. If you are staying in Ambon I highly recommend it!

Best option in town ”
Really enjoy my stay ! Great service , nice room, ( ask for non smoking room) they speak English , breakfast is local or Western toast with fresh products and good taste ! Nice rooftop bar with fare prices ( same place as breakfast ) not in the main city center but actually perfect location outside the busyness and with a great view from the roof. I will come again.

Nice, clean and modern Hotel in Ambon”
It was my first time to visit Ambon and I've booked City Hotel with best price. The hotel located not far away from Maranatha Church, so if you want to go to Sunday Service just take becak to go to that church. Hotel architecture is simply modern style with cozy furniture. Although there was a little bit slow response from the staff; but finally we can get our hot water in our bath room. The breakfast was tasty, there was omelette and bread station, and also local food. We took breakfast at the roof top restaurant with beautiful scenery to the Ambon Bay. The room also very simple but it has good amenities. The bed is comfortable, not to hard but not to soft. I recommend this hotel to all of traveler who wants competitive price but with good and comfy ambiance.

After backpacking for several months on a pretty tight budget we were hesitant to spend the Rp. 500,000 on a room, but it was absolutely worth every penny! We had to stay in Ambon for a long weekend in order to extend our visas, so this provided us with a comfortable and welcoming place to seek refuge from the hot and bustling city. Breakfast is great, service and staff are friendly, rooms and beds are super comfy. Would recommend this place to anyone staying in Ambon.

Very easy access to the city's bus terminus. Walking distance to night market and for river taxi across the bay towards the airport. Panaromic view of the city from rooftop cafe/bar. Very adequate breakfast is provided. Enjoyed my stay and will stay again if I revisit Ambon.

About 45 minutes from the airport and harbor. 10 minutes to the central mall. There is not much in the way of restaurants or amenities near the hotel. It has a rooftop restaurant and bar where they also serve the included breakfast buffet. The food is ok. Rooms are clean but a bit small. Fast WIFI and satellite TV including English channels. Staff are friendly. Very good value good money

Lovely hotel”
The room is clean, good shower (sometimes water shortag), clean towels and very good buffet breakfast. Sometimes there is live music in the restaurant, so if you want to sleep early you better ask your room from second floor. Most of the staff speak good English.

A new hotel in Ambon. I arrived at 6.30 AM and the friendly reception offered me an early check-in plus breakfast for AU$10 (a bargain and highly appreciated after a very early flight from Makassar ... I wish more hotels offer this service). The room was clean, functional and comfortable. The best part was I could open the windows for fresh air. The restaurant was in the top floor ... the view over looking the Ambon Harbour was breath-taking. It was truly incredible. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were friendly and helpful. I visited Ambon for the first time and it was memorable. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Performance need to be improved”
My experience was really nice at The City Hotel in Ambon, Maluku. Very nice and modern design. Staff extremely nice and helpful but I had a bad experience at he restaurant/ bar. Food is really nice both for breakfast, lunch and dinner but it happened to me 3 times staff forget about my order. Last day before check I had breakfast at 8:00 am and bread had run out already. I think it is unacceptable to miss the most essential item for a westerner braekfast which is bread. To be honest I appreciate that the staff immediately went out side to buy extra bread upon my request but they should prior have planned and avoid that unpleasant experience. I highly recommend to stay at this hotel and for sure wanna stay over if I ever come back to Ambon but staff need to be more attentive for some details and costumers' needs.
