The City hotels & accommodations

The hotel was awesome and in a great location. It was a 2 minute walk to the Tube (district an circle lines)and above ground rail. A 5 minute walk to Tower of London and Tower Bridge 10 minutes to Borough Market. The room was a nice size, we were upgraded upon arrival and it very clean. The girlfiend and I really loved the MAC computer and free WiFi in the room it was ...

We didn't expect the room to be as small as it was (felt like we were living in a tiny house for a few days), but everything else about the stay made up for it. Great location, right next to a tube entrance, some good pubs and great cafes for breakfast. The room was small but very modern and the A/C unit came in handy during an abnormally warm week in London. The staff...

An excellent urgent booking business stay. All worked well upon presenting my printed (fully paid Agoda voucher) at the Reception desk. Rooms are clean and well equipped. Good free wifi connection. Bathroom of excellent standard and modern facilities. Good gym downstairs and while they could not accommodate my early check-in I was allowed to enjoy a shower at the gym. ...

Staff were amazingly helpful, they made us feel so welcome & nothing was to much trouble. The room & view was stupendous.. The bed was big & comfortable which aided to a restful nights sleep. The position of the hotel was just right for our needs, being situated near Tower Hill meant we could hop on a tube. Will definitely be visiting again. Thank You so much Grange Ci...

The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The rooms are not large but that is not necessary. The room is exactly what it is meant for. Sleeping and showering. For the rest, you're in the city. Room is very neat. The hotel has a perfect location. You're on foot from Liverpool Station in less than 5 minutes. All services were included by the booking at Agoda. We will ...

Splendid location in the city for Barbican, underground, shops and food. Good price. Lovely room, well equipped with everything in it. Very clean. Comfy double bed. A bit small for 2 people but very adequate for one. I like Malmaisons chain of quirky buildings. Helpful front of house staff. Recommend.

I would 100% stay here again. This hotel has all of the little things that make it a great stay. The staff was great and allowed me to keep my bag in storage for the whole day while I toured the city. The free water saves a lot of money and the free fruit and drinks in the morning are greatly appreciated. Free computers with internet and a gym make this hotel hard to...

I stayed at the Apex hotel on a business trip to London. I found the hotel to be clean, comfortable and close to both public transport and the city. The rate included breakfast, which was continental and throughly sufficient. Staff were extremely helpful. All in all, an excellent business hotel in the centre of the city.

This is a reasonably good hotel in a good location around 10 minutes walk from the Old City and situated near lots of restaurants, bars and shops. It is also quite cheap by the standards of Jerusalem and the staff who run it are very helpful. Though the room was small it was clean and tidy and the only bad thing was the breakfast which was just some dips and bread and...

We had an email with the wrong check-in address and were then given a 3rd floor apartment with a non-working lift, dishwasher & smoke alarm. After a number of emails back and forward, we were moved to a different apartment which had a working lift and was great. A good result but some initial angst could have been avoided in the first place. Would recommend to ...

I treated my boyfriend to an overnight stay and breakfast at the Curtain and it was the best stay we ever had! The room was beautiful - comfortable bed and amazing sauna/shower in the bathroom! Chocolate milk and cookies were left when we got back to the room after being out in Shoreditch. The breakfast on the roof top was the best meal we had ever had too and there wa...

The hotel is located on Strand, next to the Waterloo bridge. This is a hotel for people who want a place to sleep and browse in the city instead of expecting a luxury accommodation to enjoy staying in. Really nice building and hostel with almost everything in it! The room was really spacious, quite clean and nice, with window for fresh air and 3 washbasins, common bathrooms all around the floor.. The staff was nice and helpful. I payed a very reasonable price for a studio (given it is in the city center, during the olympics and I reserved 24 hours in advance) and I got upgraded to an apartment. Nice living room, fully equiped kitchen, confortable bed, all new and spotless... I would definitly recommend it to anybody.

We were surprised with the very reasonable price and booked the hotel at once. However we overlooked the late check-in charge of 55 pounds! It is indeed an apartment renovated from an ordinary flat on the Middlesex Street, no reception in the building. They said the charge is for the staff who goes to the building to receive guests. But we do think it is actually a b...

We booked last minute, so got a very good price. Very clean, big kitchenette, great location. Bathroom little small for two people, bed not too large for two people, but fine for short term. Stairway a little narrow and no elevator. Devices in the bathroom would need a renewing.

It was a good place to stay for a couple of night whilst we spent time in the city on a weekend theatre break. We found it hard to find when we first surfaced from the tube, once we got our bearings it was an 8 minutes to walk from the tube stop Old Street. The bedrooms were clean but in need of refurbishment, (wallpaper was peeling at the corners) but we felt this ...

Booked this in a rush an hour before I flew to London, no reviews and only realised it was student accommodation when we got there.Saying that the accommodation is of decent quality and as always in London it was a place to sleep only.. Bed was only 3/4 size and no TV but apart from that it was fine. Staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Great alternative to staying in a hotel. Well placed for the Tube and the City. Good modern facilities, however , if you get a basement apartment be aware that the glass pavement goes over your head -nice design feature but not for the light sleeper......

Very clean, convenient and surprisingly quiet in such a central and good location in the City. Easy to find and great to get the key after hours with easy instructions to access entry. It was a nice stay in the hotel. Though the furniture are bit old, the room was still a nice one with spacious bathroom. We had a nice stay & we will book again this hotel in the future. Good location for dining, airport bus, a lots of couches & chairs in the lobby, can stay while waiting for our time to go to the airport. Staff were nice too. I'm happy with this hotel.

Its too small everything is much smaller than in the photos the kitchen is sharing which can’t recognized clearly when I did the booking, its not comfortable for working no disk or any working area, hot water in the bathroom very poor the follow up for my request and questions regarding the room very bad , the toilets was needing for repirment I sent msg to the owne...

Located in Barbican, so it must be pricy, I get it. However, with the money I spent on a Deluxe single room, I must say it is a disappointment when I walked into the room. I've been to many nice 5 stars in many cities and so far this is the least favourable room. Not to complaint the facilities - tiny gym, bad sound-proof (maybe just because I was in a single room on...

London was the last leg of our UK tour. We didn't know what to expect when we booked Malmaison on Charterhouse but judging from the pictures, we thought it would be a nice end to our trip. When we got to the hotel and walked in, a cool vibe emanated from the hotel lobby - cool decor, nice funky house music playing at a comfortable volume. Check-in was fast and the r...

I have stayed here before and love the location. If you have business in the city, this is a 10 minute walk to the Lloyds building. Late sleepers beware that there is a huge construction site right across the s...

I had a very nice stay at the service apartments. It was in a very nice location, next to Liverpool st station in the heat of the City. The apartment was very nice, great decor, great value for money given that it is the same cost as a standard hotel room. Perfect for a longer stay in London as it is really a decent size 1 bed apartment.

Had spider or bed bug bites, asked to move out. Hotel agreed via email to refund last night of stay, but later hotel reneged and went back on thier word. Lucky that I had email confirming refund and had photos. Agoda was kind enough to refund. Thanks Agoda. Thumbs down Smart City.

We were a family [couple with older children] meeting to attend a private function in London. The location of the apartment is excellent, with staff who were responsive to our comments/complaints. It should be noted that whatever they [staff and tradesmen] did, they were never going to be able to get the dishwasher working!

Fantastic and hassle free studio in a great location. Very clean with all the facilities you want. Lovely fish and chip shop just around the corner, which Id also recommended 🙂 I was worried about there not being a front desk at first but when we rang the number provided a polite and professional gentleman answered all our queries.

Only complaint is the size of the aparment. Rented a one-bedroom but the size was more a studio with a partition. No cupboard space for clothes and not enough space to place two suitcases on the floors. Other than this - amazing. Especially the staff - very helpful and accommodating.
