Very comfortable hotel!”
Excellent beds, we slept so well. Location is very near Khan market where we had most meals. Since it was so hot in Delhi when we were there, we spent most of the day in the room. Housekeeping deserves a mention too for cleaning our room beautifully. Room service meals could be cheaper though, we would have ate in then. Security guys in the front of the hotel were very friendly. We would stay here again.
Decent place ”
It’s the 3rd time I spent time in Claridges. It’s a nice hotel with good food and friendly staff. However there was a cockroach in my room and that was quite disturbing. Thanks to their staff came quickly to check the situation.
Walk back to the British Era.”
The classic white ambiance and furniture of the room was pleasing to eyes. The hotel is very classy and has an eccentric touch to it. I would recommend it to anyone who would want to visit Lutyen's Delhi.
A few small changes would bring this hotel up to a real 5*”
Fabulous location near to Lodi Gardens. Very kind and helpful staff. The hotel falls down on a couple of areas. For example at peak times (eg Diwali) the tiny dining room is simply to small to accommodate all the guests, and a panic ensues as staff frantically try to open up the evening restaurants to serve a scaled down breakfast, with too few staff and limited food options. On arrival we were shown some truly horrid rooms, with windows looking out onto brick walls less than 12" from the window. Three rooms later we were finally offered the deluxe rooms we had booked and thought we were getting. G&T on the lawn in the afternoon in fabulous, and made up for the checking in fiasco!
Peace in the heart of Delhi”
Words can't describe the consistent experience over the years. Classy, friendly and efficient staff, timely services and comfortable rooms.
room wasnt great... it was dirty.. breakfast room is too crowded..avoiding now
Not what you would be expecting ”
Historic hotel Needs renovation Location is so so Some staff are amazing Rooms are too far from the central lobby therefore you might walk 5 minutes to get to your room Had a random hooker knocking on my door at 1am in the morning looking for her guest, which means nobody did any form of security check and when questioned the staff everyone had a different story You might want to book room 202 if you want a late night visitor lol
Excellent stay and clean rooms”
Really enjoyed our stay at the Claridges - top notch hotel with excellent service and food is to die for. Keep up the good work. Location was pretty handy and brekkie was fantastic. We will be returning again.
I felt very welcomed by the drive from the hotel that picked me up at the airport. This continued from all the staff at the hotel they were so pleasant. I was given a free upgraded room all I can say is wow! It was a very large suit separate living room dinning room walk in closet very large bathroom with all the toiletries one could need. The bed was extremely comfortable with a good choice of pillows fantastic sleep. The restraints were fabulous. The breakfast was hot and very very good. There is high security at the hotel you know the type men in black. A memorable place to stay thank you to the staff. I will be back
Warm and helpful staff”
I was impressed with my 2 nights stay at The Claridges from the airport pickup till I left the hotel. We were delighted to find out that we were upgraded to a suite which is decorated with fresh and beautiful lilies. A big shout out to our driver Bhagat Singh Yadav who was super polite kind and helpful to us who were first timers in India. He was receptive and accommodating to our requests and gave good and sincere recommendations. I will definitely recommend him to anyone who stays at Claridges. The Claridges is in a good location and near to Lodi Gardens, India Gate and Khan Market for shopping. We hired Bhagat for 4hours (Rs2500) who drove us to meet with a local rickshaw driver who rode us around in Old Dehli for 2 hours (Rs1000) which was a great experience. Later we experienced the New Delhi with a short drive around Connaught Place and then shopping at Khan Market. We took tuk tuk back to hotel which costs us about Rs50. I will be definitely return.
Charming hotel with friendly staff”
I must say the service here is amazing! Everyone was very friendly and caring. The manager was awesome and kept checking if were OK even if we already checked out and was just waiting for our late night flight (they also let us check out late) the rooms were OK and a bit basic but the wonderful staff made up for it!
Great place to stay and Great Location”
The Claridges in Delhi was a fantastic place to stay. The location is in the heart of the city but you hardly feel it as they have created a fun yet relaxing atmosphere. The food, especially the restaurant Dhaba, is worth returning for. The staff was accommodating in every way possible. The only way I would recommend improving the hotel would be to make the gym facility larger. Otherwise highly recommend the hotel.
Di & Mark from UK”
Stayed here for last night of a 10 day trip to India. Couldn’t have been better. Lovely room with extremely comfortable bed. Gorgeous meal in the Indian restaurant. The barman in the Vodka bar was very helpful and polite. Great breakfast. Lovely smell of Jasmine in the hotel lobby. A very colonial feel to the hotel.
Decent food ”
I had breakfast and dinner in the hotel and the food was good
I liked this hotel enough to return several time.
Nice quiet hotel”
I have stayed in several hotels in New Delhi and this was a nice quiet hotel with clean rooms and nice pleasant staff
Gorgeous hotel, fantastic location but food overpriced ”
Loved this hotel, it is beautifully maintained, spotlessly clean and the service is fantastic. Loved the location in the embassy area. Feels very safe. Exceptional breakfast, the only time we have seen smoked salmon on the menu & the house baked breads are amazing. The only downside to this hotel is that the food is very overpriced & pricing does not include taxes (a whopping additional 40%). We ended up getting into taxis to go to restaurants (nice places) & saved $100 per meal. It's a shame as it kind of leaves you feeling like you are being ripped off. On a positive, kitchen is hygienic (not guaranteed in Delhi) and Sevilla restaurant was not just beautiful but delicious food.
I stayed at The Claridges in July 2018 and what a beautiful hotel, the staff are all excellent and the property is spotlessly clean... I cannot fault one thing about this establishment... full credit to the attentive staff of the Claridges
Location is a bit random as there is nothing within walking distance during the hot summer. Connaught Place is a few KMs and you can get a tuk tuk there for under 100 Rupees (although the staff won't allow tuk tuks in their 5 star driveway!). Facilities and breakfast are great
Within the safe zone. ”
This hotel located within the embassies zone. Hotel surrounded by soldiers, that's why I said safe. The hotel itself has tight security, they checked every vehicle that entering this hotel. Extra safe! The hotel has all the facilities you need so it save you the time of going out. Beautiful swimming pool, various restaurants, garden, bar and conference room are all available in this hotel. This hotel is old but they maintain it very good. Very good customers service, very polite. Breakfast also very good, they serve international and local Indian breakfast. Room is clean and huge, big and soft bed. toiletries are all provided.
