Not much nearby, but not too far from 2 train stations”
The hotel itself was good. The staff was great. But there is not much nearby, but you only need to walk about 10 mins to find restaurants and pubs. The hotel was close to 2 train stations, Paddington and Bayswater, which was convenient. The room I stayed even had a microwave, some plates, and silverware which came handy when the hotel did not have a breakfast option.

I can't work out why this hotel is listed as 4 Stars”
Nice enough property, but barely makes it to a 4* property. Tiddy property that reminds me of a Ibis 3* or a Travelodge. Pros: Location convenient for tourists. Good wifi. Mini kitchen in room Cons: Rough location. Most rooms cannot be access with a lift. Basement rooms are awful: smell of moulds, can't open windows, dark and no phone signal. Furnishings are bland and corporate, no style whatsoever. Service is minimal to non existent. Cleaning staff seem overworked and exploited. Price target: I paid GBP107/night. Would not more than GBP150 per night, if more, choose an other property.

Unhappy surprise - Not a 4 stars hotel. The advertised rooms were far away from the reality. ”
Travellers for leisure need to be informed about the status of the hotel. We were staying at the basement. We thought that we had paid for 3 but we had to request for an additional bed, which costs 40 Gbp / night. The room description was: Victorian style with personal fireplace. The reality was the basement with even a table to eat. Staff unhelpful, when we requested for another room we had no help or support from their side. I organize all my travels, I base my choice on the reviews provided on the rating page, other travelers that explain their personal experience. This is the main reason why I have taken my time to review this hotel. I would not recommend this hotel to a collegue or to a friend.

Not great”
The hotel is just okay on all points. The best part of the entire hotel experience was the area of town - NOT the location of the hotel, but the AREA around the hotel. Situated in a beautiful and affluent neighborhood near Hyde\Kinsington Park, the area surrounding the hotel is very pretty. Beautiful homes and high end sports cars are everywhere, so it's nice if you want to wander around near the hotel. The LOCATION; however, isn't fabulous. It's in the middle of 4 tube stops but all of them are about 15 minutes to walk to and just outside the affluent neighborhood is pretty sketchy looking and not well lit. Lots of junky tourist stores, a hooka bar, an Indian restaurant, etc. Not the best if you're planning on returning to the hotel at night or with expensive shopping purchases. The hotel itself is pretty on the outside but very basic on the inside. Pressed wood additions in the rooms (like a shelf attached to the wall as a makeshift desk and an IKEA-looking closet) are cheap and contribute to a dorm room/prison cell look. The rooms are small and there isn't enough room for the bedside table to sit next to the bed (or else the closet doors wouldn't have enough room to open) so it's inconveniently positioned about 1/3 way down the right side of the bed. There is a small kitchenette - which I didn't use - with two plates and sets of flatware. Pots are requested from the front desk. The bathroom is small with basic amenities (shampoo, body wash, shower cap) and two towels. The sheets are low quality and scratchy and the pillows are flat, but the mattress is comfortable. The in-room safe isn't the standard user friendly one found in most rooms. Staff is alright, depending on who you get. A man and a woman with accents (Eastern European, maybe) were helpful and kind. A young English man was new and unhelpful, as he couldn't answer basic hotel questions. Another younger man - a valet, perhaps - saw me and my guest walking up to the hotel with our luggage and di

Great location, amiable staff, nice rooms”
Perfectly located near Kensington Gardens and Paddington, this modern, comfortable is staffed by very pleasant and helpful workers. Adored the incredible Halepi Greek restaurant around the corner. Loved the coffee machine in the lobby. Did not love the rickety wooden trundle bed which threatened to collapse at any second

Very good value ”
Good location , rooms larger than average, good internet, mini kitchen in room, reasonable prices via agoda. Things to watch out for: basement rooms have no phone signal. You may need to ask recover ion to switch in the heating they seem to switch if off every morning. I like this hotel ... Very good value, have been there on 3 visits already

Clean quiet location
Nice property. Tiddy and quiet. Good wifi. Room 31 on the top floor. No lift to reach it. Water pressure was somewhat irregular to the point of no water flowing in shower: that should be fixed

Clean but overrated”
Helpful staff, good location
Stay was fine, but room was in the basement. We paid for a triple room, but third bed was a really improvised one. Won't stay again. Too expensive, and overrated. Would say a very clean 2 stars.

Solid self catering option”
Kitchenette was handy, room size, quiet area
The first room I was put in was a basement room with some light but next to a generator with constant buzzing noise being irritating. I asked to move as the room had no phone reception and I was here on business so that was pretty poor. The moved me to the 5th floor which the lift didn't reach so an additional 3 flights of stairs was annoying, although the staff were great and moved the bags for me. The room was big by London standards and the kitchenette was handy if not particularly well stocked. In the middle of 3 tube stations so was easy to get around without being to noisy. Nothing much in the immediate area but not far from some restaurants and Hyde park. A solid choice, pretty good value for London.

Regular cleaning, availability of kitchenette although I had to ask for a frying pan.
Room is small as in a typical London hotel. Cleaning staff were good. Kitchen lacks utensils but were given promptly when asked. I would stay here again
