not as pictured”
I was so excited to stay here- I booked the room for 7 nights and ended up leaving with a backpack to stay on phi phi for 5 days after being here only 2 nights. The room is musty- everything is damp, the bed has icky colored brown linens, the mosquito net was not in good repair, everything just smells bad. No wifi from the bedrooms. The pool deck is not in good repair, the chairs are old and the cushions are damp, you will not want to be sitting on them. The view is beautiful but so many mosquitos that you will not want to sit and enjoy it. The staff seemed nice but not very eager to help- I was met with some resistance when asking for hot water for tea. Another girl staying at the same time as me had a phone stolen from her safe box- my safe box locked me out at one point which leads me to assume someone was trying to open it. It's all a bit shady. If you're traveling on a budget and plan to just use this place as a home base it's good as a stop point, you can get to the nearby beaches and islands fairly easily but I would not recommend staying here for any length of time- DO NOT stay here for a honeymoon or a couples trip, you will be miserable I promise.

Crap Hotel”
This was the worst hotel in our 9 weeks of travel. It should not even been listed. The pictures are deceiving and the rooms are not what's shown. We were given a room that was damp and mouldy, and had been properly cleaned for some time. Internet only available in lobby, killed a big cock roach in breakfeast area one morning, TV did not work at all. The outdoor bathroom was in dire need of renovations. All in all we felt robbed. The staff was marginal.

Not good”
We have been travelling through Asia for past 2 months and stayed in many hotels and this is the worst room we stayed in. Room had damp smell ,many mosquito in room and in outdoor bathroom area. Mosquito net barely reached around bed. Blinds for windows were all broken. Tv reception awful. Wifi ???? What wifi ???? Wood decking at front all rotten, and nearly had accident , when stepping onto it. Door lock very hard to get key out when having locked. Just a really bad stay, and will not be going back. Maybe nice place for mosquitoes but not for me Only thing that was little better was breakfast.

Don't waste your money”
We chose this hotel thinking that an outdoor bathroom would be great, it's NOT!First of it's not really outdoors, it's covered overhead by a plastic top. You share a shin wooden wall with your neighbors so you and they can hear EVERYTHING. The shower head is so calcified that the water sprays everywhere except for where it's supposed to go. There are a LOT of mosquitoes in the "outdoor" bathroom area so when you try to go to the toilet you are constantly trying to avoid being eaten alive. Besides that the "outdoor" area has potential but is just very run down and needs maintenance, it's muddy and dirty out there, there are a lot of bugs and giant spider webs. And don't get me wrong I understand it's outside and there will be bugs, but weeds growing in a muddy area can be taken care of as well as a rag can be used to take away the spider webs. In all it is not a place where you want to relax and unwind. Not the way it was portrayed on the website at all. The internet connection in room 105 did not work. 1 bar would show up but the connection was non existent. We complained multiple times and asked to move as I had stuff to do for work but that was not possible. We were provided towels with holes in them. We considered staying at a different hotel all together but stayed because it was for a short stay and it was non refundable but for that price we could have gotten something much better!

Peacefull and Charming ”
The property surroundings and landscape was great. Bungalow's were charming but a little outdated and musty. Outdoor bathroom was unique and private but could also use some updating. The distance to the beach was a little longer then originally thought. A good 20 min walk but plenty of food and bars along the way to keep you entertained. The pool was a little cold but weather could have played a role on that in January. The area was great! The Staff was outstanding and willing to go above and beyond. I could not have expected more. Thanks!!!

Disappointing B&B!”
The pictures are dismissive... It's far from being a piece of heaven in the jungle! The accommodations are actually kinda cute, but it is just in the wrong location. It's bang on in the middle of the city with just a hill as a backdrop, with loads of 7/11 and mc Donald's on the way to the hotel... Not so charming! The hotel has no bar and no restaurant... So more of a B&B rather than a boutique hotel!

Must have been beautiful before. Outdated hotel but most interesting design”
We stayed two nights at The Cliff Aonang Resort. Very small resort, in fact, with the most interesting design I have seen, which includes an outdoor shower and toilet. It is a pretty cool concept. And sleeping inside a mosquito net was interesting as well. Swimming pool looked really dirty and not maintained, never saw anybody swim in it during our stay. Room is a bit small but has the outdoor nipa hut feel, great for our honeymoon. This hotel is worth a few nights stay but I would not recommend it for a long term stay at all. Bathroom gets messy when it's raining. And there are tons of mosquitoes around so you have to quickly shut the bathroom door.

Good hotel that needs refurbishment”
The hotel was central and a 10-15 mins walk from the beach depending on how long your legs are. The hotel must have been gorgeous when it was new but its in need of some loving tender care. It was still a lovely hotel though once you just need to get used to the concept of having an open concept bathroom.

I was at the Cliff Resort for the second time. I like the place very much. It is a bit old, but maintain properly. The staffs are all very friendly and helpful. It is a small resort with not many rooms and a nice pool. I will go back for sure!
