small but nice, good staff and great location
some room problems: weak wifi, no cable tv for 24 hours, bathroom lighting poor. Granted it's off-season, but walk in rate much cheaper than what I paid. Overall ok though.

Good location but no frills hotel
A very basic hotel. Room, toilet are clean. Large bed is actually 2 singles joined together - painful if you lie on the middle. Bring or buy your own toothbrush, hair and body shampoo in dispenser on the wall. Air-cond working. Be careful of the wooden tiles in the room coming off. No elevator, so if you can't climb take the lowest floor. Do not leave the light on in the toilet - unless you want everything in there covered with flies attracted to the light. Location was great. Near many entertainment and food outlets. Everything within walking distance.

Great hotel. Clean rooms. Pleasant staff.
The Clipper hotel is a great place to stay. The rooms are clean and large. It's close to malls and plenty of restaurants. Good night life nearby too.

Convenient for me and my business trip.
The Clipper is in close proximity to numerous bars, which can be a bit noisy. It is conveniently located to two major shopping centres with restaurants and cinemas. Plenty of coffee shops nearby as well.

Good value, super clean rooms, great staff
The Clipper hotel is a lovely place to stay. The rooms are spacious and always very clean. The staff is so friendly and genuinely concerned about your well being. They are willing to help with any request thrown at them. It's not often you see the owner of a hotel chatting with guests and offering local advice but at the Clipper Hotel that's what you get. I feel like family staying here. Give the Clipper Hotel a try and don't listen to the previous review. I believe you'll be happy you stayed here.

Poor facilities, poor customer service
Staff was unhelpful, untrained and uncoordinated. They promised certain rates for extension and for separate bookings, but then overcharged, saying they can't get a hold of manager etc. they would not allow extra guests in single or double rooms without large extra fee, and all beds are single beds or single beds pushed together which is not comfortable for two persons. Rooms are large but floor has sharp edges where the wood is coming up and must wear shoes in the room or you will cut your feet. There are so many better hotels in the area that are cheaper, better facilities and much better customer service.
