Setting high standards for boutique hotels”
in our quest to find the best hotel to do our wedding preps this coming november, i came across cocoon's ad via the web.. saw good reviews. but the info that caught me the most was it being eco-friendly. i thought, how can a hotel in the metro be eco-friendly? so i went on reading more comments and hotel info and got into the details. i personally liked the concept, especially at these times. and so we checked in over the weekend to experience it ourselves. my fiance and i have the same standards when it comes to service. we base our decision to like a certain establishment if the service is good. for us, that is the key in keeping it in the hospitality industry. and cocoon aced it! i called in prior to checking in to confirm our reservation. talking to them via phone was already a pleasant experience. and sure enough, once we checked in, they all greeted us with more pleasantry. they were never intimidating, they were all smiles, as if you have known them for quite some time. they also accommodated my request to check out later than scheduled. the room was perfect! nice, comfortable sheets, bathtub, eco-friendly toiletries. our stay included a set breakfast. at first i thought it would have been better to have a buffet breakfast given that the room was a bit pricey. but then the set breakfast had a lot of options, plus the servings were very generous that it was almost as good as having a buffet. plus the resto staff and waiters were very friendly. they even showed us their function room. sadly though, we are already booked at another venue for our wedding. we would've chosen them had i learned about their function room earlier, which leads me to comment on how their website badly needs an update. it would help if they could post more photos on their website especially of the rooms and other facilities. overall, i would highly recommend cocoon boutique hotel for those who want to steer away from overly commercialized hotels. i give it 5/5 s
Didn't want to get off my bed. So comfortable!”
Over the phone and when I arrived, I felt the sincerity and friendliness of the staff. Checking in and out was quick. Surprised to see that the room was huge and bathroom had tub. They were well maintained. The only thing I didn't like was the white light in the headboard, as it made the room dull. Breakfast was simple and good enough to start my day. They serve Filipino and Western cuisines. I just find the dining area a bit cramped. Overall, the stay was fantastic. I didn't know that there's such a comfortable and value for money hotel in Quezon City. Definitely, I will recommend Cocoon Boutique Hotel to everyone looking for a stay in QC.
Cozy hotel in the heart of Quezon City”
The Cocoon Boutique Hotel is situated in the heart of Quezon City, where night life is always exciting. You can choose to stay at this hotel to relax or to be your home away from home if you have plans for the Saturday weekend. It's location is also perfect since taxis are very familiar and the hotel is close to malls like TriNoma and SM North EDSA. Either for business or pleasure, the hotel is worth the stay, though they should improve on their wifi service.
Calm, ecofriendly, relaxing, stylish”
I have been in many hotels in Metro Manila. Cocoon Boutique was the most agreable one, with the most friendly staff, except the lack of a nice bar for a drink in the night, but they serve you on the roof terrasse where it was easy to meet and chat with other customers. And of course Quezon city is not as close to the airport as Malate what in Manila can be unconfortable due to the heavy traffick.
One of the best hotels I have stayed in”
Having found this hotel on trip advisor , after reading all the rave reviews I thought that this was the hotel for myself and my wife, we had been hugely disappointed by the great eastern a month ago, but we were not wi the cocoon, as soon as we stepped through the doors and caught the aroma of eucalyptus it made us feel like we were in a spa , our check in was so smooth we were in our room in 5 minutes, and oh my god what a room, awesome beds that felt like you were on a cloud, huge bathroom with an awesome shower, and massive bathtub, where you could watch television . The most fantastic staff , just little things like we didn't have power adapters for our computers within 5 minutes room service brought them to our rooms. Breakfast each morning beside the pool on the 6th floor was the highlight of the day, lailane and Jashua were just magnificent with our needs, If you are in quezon city please do yourself a huge favour and make a beeline to this gem of a hotel? The only negative was no gym, and wif- fi on the 6th floor and the lobby , the wi- fi to be sorted out in the next 2 weeks, but there is an awesome gym just around the corner.
Possibly the best in Quezon City”
Small modern boutique hotels with top class service and amenities are the exception in Ermita and Makati and non-existent in Quezon City. The Cocoon fills that void. So new, parts were still under construction during our stay. But that, and a leaky bathroom faucet, did not dampen our appreciation of this very fine little hotel. That it is also a green hotel adds to it's charm and quality. If you are not into tower hotels but still need, want or require modern hotel services, then this is one to consider as a top choice. Deep intro discounts make it a no-brainer but even at full rack rates it should be considered.
This hotel lived up to all its positive reviews.”
“This hotel lived up to all the positive reviews, big time!” Reviewed October 9, 2013 NEW We needed a place to stay for a few days R & R before a major art show in HK. Booking the Cocoon was the best move we made. All the positive reviews from other travelers were true and we loved the hotel. Clean, very comfortable, staff so genuinely helpful it was seriously refreshing. The hotel is about one hr drive from the airport, so maybe not the best local tourist base, but for a laid back R & R base with really close access to seriously large shopping centers........perfect! Had to leave as no more suitcase room for shopping! We got a cab through the airport center on arrival, thinking we were being smart, and paid P2750. The hotel arranged our return transport to the airport for P 1200! So be prepared. We left Manila and moved on to a 5 star hotel in HK with all the trimmings, none of the ambience, and couldn't help mentally comparing........Cocoon won hands down!! We travel a lot and have no compunction in recommending this hotel.
A very pleasant stay”
Me and my partner had a very pleasant stay at Cocoon Boutique Hotel. A couple of days before our check in date the hotel staff already texted me for my room preference and parking. We arrived an hour early during the date but we were surprised that they allowed us early check in, we were able to rest in the room early. The deluxe room is nice, spacious, big bed, smart tv, nice bathroom, nice decor, quiet and peaceful, truly relaxing. The breakfast was also good, lots to choose from and buffet serving for bread, salad, fruits, cereals, coffee and juice. Rooftop area is also very nice. Small pool great for kids. Pool area would have been complete if there is a hottub/jacuzzi available. Best part is the customer service. Staff are very friendly and are always asking you if you need anything or are you satisfied with the hotel. Ryan and Carlo gave superb customer service. Will recommend it and expect us to be back soon.
You should get a massage in this Eco-friendly Hotel ”
The hotel is located in one of the mixed (commercial/residential) area in Quezon City. The price of the hotel is not that budget friendly considering that it's a boutique hotel and the amenities is a bit small, but I still think it's reasonable because the design, the staff, the service and the cleanliness of the hotel is awesome. But what we really love about this hotel is their "Spa". It's rare to have a great soothing massage, and this is why we remembered this hotel. The massage table is warm and relaxing and their massage therapists are great (the owner of the spa should give them a raise!).
Supernice hotel and friendly staff”
The hotel is located in Quezon city, outside city centre in a quite calm area. The rooms are very nice and clean, comfortable beds and the staff knows english well, and are very friendly and helpful. You have wifi in the "public areas" of the hotel (lobby, restaurant and in the corridors) and access to internet in your rooms through internet-cable. There is a small pool on the roof. We stayed there in total for a week and really enjoyed our stay! And it's an Eco-friendly hotel with SPA and other treatments available. Taxi is very cheap in Manila, so the hotels location outside city centre doesnt matter, it's nice and quiet from the hectic traffic.
“Quick Pampering in the Heart of Quezon City"”
My sister is leaving for Switzerland for a year, so I suggested we check into a local hotel that evening with my three sisters. I booked via Agoda, and got a very low rate. We had a late check-in and Daph the front desk officer was extremely attentive and efficient. She was anticipating all our needs all the time. The hotel is located in the heart of Quezon City, walking distance to a good number of restaurants and bars on Timog Avenue and Tomas Morato. When I got to the room, I was surprised because the cleaning lady was still touching up the place. It only took a few minutes though for her to finish up. I was exhausted and wanted to simply turn on the telly and lie down. My sister arrived an hour after I did and again, I heard Daphne handed her the keys and welcomed her to the hotel. The hotel is small - it is a boutique hotel, and the staff are young and well trained. For dinner, we dined outside, at a restaurant I was always curious about. The room was nice, compact, but restful. I loved the quality of the beds and sheets. My sisters and I ordered room service from the pastry shop in the lobby. We stayed up all night walking down memory lane. I woke up after an incredibly restful sleep, and si did my two other sisters. I loved the quality of the beds and sheets - Egyptian cotton, 400 thread count. We had our al fresco breakfast at the poolside of the sixth floor. The pool is small, but lovely. Our breakfast comprised of a buffet of omelette, assorted breads and jams, fruits and coffee which was part of the room fee. All in all I would say it is a perfect place to book yourself if you are simply wanting to get away from it all in the city. I plan to try the spa next time. Room Tip: Ask for the rooms on the higher floors, so that the view is decent, and not of a construction sight.
Great boutique hotel following a "eco" concept.”
I had a great one-week stay at the hotel. SPA was definitely a highlight - I had 3 massages and they were all fantastic. Location was good for me, as I could access Quezon City, Manila City, and Makati relatively easily. Staff were amazing - solving any questions and requests within minutes, room was comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was decent, but location of rooftop made it a great wake-up experience. In room services were reasonably priced (i.e. mini bar, laundry). PS: please keep an eye on maintenance, especially shower head.
Great boutique hotel in perfect location”
This is a nice addition to the existing hotels for doing business in the Quezon City are. There are a lot of good restaurants and bars around this area. It is very close to all major hospitals. I love smaller boutique style hotels. They always make you feel home a bit when you travel a lot. Room size is very good and it is decorated stylish. All is quite new. You can have your breakfast at a rooftop garden next to a little pool. It is a very cozy place. Most outstanding part is the staff working there. They are very, very kind and helpful. They are like this from their heart and not only a professional smile like in the hotel chains. For sure I will come back. Highly recommended.
Post Valentine's Day Treat”
We had a great time spending our Valentine weekend at Cocoon. We were very well taken care of from the check-in process, to the setting up of Valentine gifts on the bed (the digital message on the TV was definitely a surprise), to our hearty breakfast, room requests, and until our check out. All the hotel staff gave service with a smile and warm greetings. Kudos to Justin who made sure everything is well planned and executed since the day I got in touch with him. Best bedding we've experienced so far in the metro. We definitely had a good night sleep. The room is spacious and surprisingly very complete with amenities - more than what you'd expect from a boutique hotel. This definitely delivers! Thank you for the great experience.
above and beyond, glorious”
The courteous staff make this outstanding hotel truly exceptional. Every staff member greeted us with a smile, every single time we saw them, even the back-of-the-house staff. After the insanity of Manila this place is a true respite. The bed was outrageously comfortable, the bathroom was great & the quiet is welcome. The decor is enchanting, modern & elegant throughout the hotel. We were even given a complimentary foot massage upon check-in. They overlook nothing and it shows. The neighborhood is also quite charming. It was difficult to leave, but I will go back to Quezon City just to stay in this hotel one more time.
Amazing Birthday Staycation”
The Cocoon Boutique Hotel has a very friendly staff. When I checked in, they greeted me an advance happy birthday since I'll be checking in at the eve of my birthday. They even gave me a free foot spa for two. The next day, I woke up late so the concierge double-checked if I wanted to have my breakfast since it is nearing 10am already. They gave me an option to have a plated breakfast sent to my room instead. All these attentiveness from the staff made up for some of the hotel's not so good impressions on me like the houseflies inside the room, having only one elevator for the entire hotel and having a hard time reserving a room since they don't have online reservation in their website. You have to call their hotel which only has 2 landline numbers. One is busy and the other one only rings. I had to book my room in Agoda. Despite these small quirks, I had a pleasant stay. Their beds are divine! I will definitely come back to this hotel for another staycation. That is if I can book a room.
stylish new ecofriendly hotel with staff to match”
I had to be in Quezon City for a few days and from all i could find online, the Cocoon Boutique has no competition for your hotel-stay dollar -- which is not to say it's a perfect hotel; even after a year there seem to be growing pains. For example: They swear there is wifi in the rooms--i swear there isn't--and you should believe me. They do provide in-room hardwire internet cables which was fine for my macbook, but if you arrive iPhone only in hand you may be sorely disappointed to be cut off from the world while in your room. Fortunately just around the corner (actually directly beneath my room, as i later determined), you can sip some delicious 'teas' at Serendipitea and use their wifi.) Their breakfast menu is interesting but extremely limited. the one day they had no muesli i was left with virtually no vegetarian option--especially when they delivered my veggie omelette (yes, they have an 'omelette station' in addition to the small menu) filled with tiny pieces of ham. Their offering of breads and muffins is delicious, but after stuffing my face with them the guilt wouldn't disappear for days. ;) All-in-all a very pleasant, friendly--and unobtrusively ecological--experience. And i do recommend.
Stunning Hotel and staff were fantastic”
i had a marvelous stay in the cocoon boutique hotel, wonderful interiors, very good service and some excellent dining too, must recommend the hotel's pool area, very relaxing. very reasonably priced too for a luxury hotel. my only qualm was that the restaurant does not offer room service.
Go Green Staycation”
Definitely a one-of-a-kind overnight experience at Cocoon during Lent. From swift check-in with welcome drinks until our check-out the next day and all throughout our stay the hospitality of everyone and great service was remarkable. I'll surely go back for the relaxing complimentary 30min foot massage and small yet picturesque roofdeck where we enjoyed the pool and modified buffet breakfast. Every details on the room and hotel facilities were very well thought of not only to be aesthetically pleasing but also functional wise. Also, the feel-at-home ambiance and caring staff leaves a very good impression on us. A little upgrade on some facilities and additional variety on other services and food choices will really make this hotel a "go-to" staycation place in the metro. Our stay in the "Cocoon" made us feel one with nature and truly an organic RnR experience that will surely cherish, spread the positive vibe feeling and something that you want more of again soon.
No need for a second invite to stay....”
The Cocoon Boutique Hotel is one of the best priced hotel for the money. The location is super as it is close to everything, and taxis are available all the time. Quiet and safe neighborhood. Highly recommend the hotel for all features that one looks for in a hotel while on holiday.
