“At Sun Moon Lake”
This hotel is located in Pier 3. From the lake this town looks run down. But once in the town, it seemed OK with lots of street food available. This hotel is located right by the lake. The hotel lobby is smaller than what the photo shows. The staff is nice and friendly especially the lady staff on our arrival. There is a nice little coffee lounge with a coffee machine for guests 24 hrs. There is a roof top area with a great view of the lake. The exercise room is inadequate and poorly maintained. We had a supreme twin sun room. The room is clean and spacious with a separate sitting/living room and very large bathroom with a jacuzzi. You can get salt from the lobby for the jacuzzi but I prefer to have bath foam and body gel to wash myself while enjoying the jet stream . The Sun room has nice morning sun and some corner view of the lake. It is slightly more expensive than some hotels we had stayed in Taiwan.

“Stunning Views, Delicious Breakfast, Disappointing Bed Hygiene”
The hotel features stunning views of the Sun Moon Lake and is located just steps from Ita Thao’s bustling local street, filled with aboriginal eateries and convenience stores. Breakfast was fantastic; beautifully presented and full of flavor. Our room was spacious and featured a high-tech toilet. However, the overall maintenance fell short. Dirty walls, scratched furniture, and worn flooring were disappointing given the price point. Most concerning was the poorly cleaned bedsheets, which led to skin irritation for my entire family. While the location and amenities are commendable, cleanliness (especially of linens) needs urgent improvement!

“Excellent”
Sofa near window is stained with some sort of fluid spillage (need deep cleaning). Bathroom (shower) caulking have minor mildew. Curtain stained. Jacuzzi tube is great feature (used twice daily minimum). Balcony was used to experience the quietness at night and early morning when there are less people near the pier and cars driving through. Breakfast is very good. Lake suite view is excellent facing sunset (try and get higher floor suite. We stayed at 5th floor. Staff excellent. Location is excellent

“Great Hotel in an Amazing Location”
Love this hotel and returned for another stay in their suite. It's a great hotel with welcoming, friendly staff. Amazing location right on the waterfront of Sun Moon Lake and in the middle of everything in Ita Thao. All of the staff was great, the room clean with all the amenities one could need. The breakfast was good with an adequate selection of Taiwanese and Western food. Definitely worth splurging for a Lakeview room. Our Suite with a balcony as perfect for sitting outside and relaxing! The staff is able to arrange private drivers, transfers and a free shuttle (on your check out day) to the visitors center where the busses to the HSR and TRA stations arrive and depart from Sun Moon Lake. The free snacks and afternoon coffee / tea in the lobby is a nice touch as is the alchol they serve at night, as well as bath salts for the room with soaking tubs. This is my second time coming and will stay again next time I go back!

“Look at that view!”
We chose the Lake View suite and it didn’t disappoint. Great location right on the water and two blocks away from the 老街 where all the food was. The suite was excellent- the tub was great for a soak and we appreciated the modular door options. Very spacious, comfortable room. Staff was always helpful and friendly. We will be back!
