Great hotel in the heart of Nagoya Station Area”

Location, Staff, Room size

The hotel itself was fully staffed with very fluent English speakers which was a great help as we had a little drama (of our own making) during our stay at the hotel. The staff were very helpful. The hotel is very close to Nagoya Station, and subway stations making it easy to get around. The hotel had it's own restaurant as well as many around it that were very convenient. The only thing is a lot of Taxi drivers didn't know about this hotel, i would say make sure you have the address in Japanese with you when you're planning on using a taxi. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Lovelly hotel and service”

Staff were extremely helpful
None

Great location very close to Nagoya station, extremely polite and helpful staff who took us to the lift each time with a very deep bow! The room was beautifully equipped (we got an upgrade) and breakfast was excellent. The staff went out of their way to prepare something for my partner who has a gluten intolerance. Very highly recommended, one of the best hotels i've stayed in ages (and this from someone who travels 15 weeks a year).

Convenient location, good value of money, bigger room size (34 m sq) is available.”

1. very good location, just 150 walking steps to Exit 1 of Nagoya Station. 2. a quiet hotel, guess because it is not big enough to serve group tour, so it is more cozy to individual travellers like us. 3. Breakfast is not so impressive, but still ok.

First visit to Nagoya”

Hotel is near to subway and JR line in Nagoya Station Staff speaks good English and are very helpful
Have booked for a non-smoking room but it waw not available. However, the staff provided me with a humidifier when the problem was brought to their attention.

This is my first visit to Nagoya. The direction provided during reservation was clear and we could locate the hotel easily. Hotel is clean and business like. Staff is helpful and speak good English. Surprise that there is a welcome drink even though the stay was for 2 nights. Price is value for money and highly recommend for travellers who still prefer to stay in a "western" type of hotel.

Sofitel Nagoya”

Comfortable bed and even though on the small side compared to other countries in Japan this room was huge. Good location. Very polite staff.
No Swimming Pool. It was soooooooo hot in Nagoya would have been nice.

We really enjoyed staying at the Sofitel Nagoya. Since it was our first night in Japan we had not yet had anything to compare it to. It proved to be one of the better hotels of that standard. The room was spacious (for Japanese standards) and included coffee and tea making facilities in the room which we found other hotels lacked. However it is a very western style hotel and not very Japanese. But recommended for comfort and its handy location to the train stations.

Highly recommended”

The Sofitel is within easy walking distance to the station and easy to find. There are some nice cafes and restaurants around the hotel too. I especially liked the fact that the room did not smell of cigarette smoke, which seems to be common even when I've asked for non-smoking rooms in other hotels. I would definitely go back again.

Hotel staff at reception provided excellent service. They were expecting our arrival and greeted each time we entered the hotel, small gestures that was very welcoming. A short walk from the train station, around 10 minutes but still easy to find. Highly recommended.

pleasant hotel with clean well kept room. ”

Proximity to Nagoya station. 5-7 minutes walk

The hotel reception was small as usual for such grade hotel, however, it reception staff were very warm and friendly. And the biggest plus point is that they do speak English and understand well your needs. The room is tastefully furnished and the bed is comfortable. Bathroom is clean and stocked with basic toiletries, pleasant surprise was that it is stocked with L'Occitane shampoo/bath/conditioner.

a bit too expensive for the small room”

near the nagoya station
old lobby, small, dirty carpetting

Sofitel hotel is not really worth the price. If you are staying there it's just becoause it's near to the JR station. I will recommend finding a hotel near sakae instead since going to the Nagoya station from there is no hassle at all. Sofitel hotel has small room and the carpetting is old and looked dirty. it is definitely not worth the price. i would recommend hotel like Hilton instead

Hotel Sofitel”

Location was very convenient.
We checked in right at 2 pm and received a smoking room. My family is allergic to smoke. Not an enjoyable experience.

The hotel is centrally located near Nagoya station. The lobby is small and cozy. The service staff is very helpful. The rooms were clean and well furnished. The rooms are a little on the smaller side but enough space for those sightseeing. They charge approx. 1100 for internet access. The unfortunate part was the smoking floor. Despite arriving early, we received only smoking rooms.

Reliable place in a great location!”

Location, cleanliness, price

this was my second time to stay here - i'd been once before, when it was a sofitel. couldn't see any before-after difference... two pieces of advice - make sure you get a non-smoking room. i didn't notice until it was too late that they'd given me a smoking room without asking me. also, try to get an upper floor - the views are quite nice. this time, though, i was on the 3rd floor - no view at all! this place was about half the price of the hilton, and about a third of the price of the marriott!

Big, clean and comfort room ”

Excellent location. Big, clean and comfort room with a reasonable price. Nice staffs. It is not a good idea to drive there . Height limit! Suv or Wagon have to park at private carpark nearby. We were asked to leave a traditional room key to front desk on the way out everytime. However, the front desk was busy with check ins and out ...so we skipped several times.

Pleasantly surprised”

Location, great staff, good sized room, clean, and classy
There's was a window between the bathroom and the bedroom so that it might have been a bit uncomfortable if I'd had a traveling companion with me.

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. I love staying in Shinjuku and I've tried several hotels around that area. For the money, this is the best place I've stayed, and is top of my list for next time I go.
