Amazing hotel. Highly recommended. ”
I've been to a few great hotels/resorts including the amazing Emerald Lake Lodge in the Canadian Rockies, but I have to say the level of service and accommodations I received at the District were beyond anything I had ever experienced before. The room was very clean, and layed out with a seperate walk in shower and bathroom, seperate living room, an upstairs bedroom with a king size bed, and 2 balconies with views of the beach. The bed was a little on the cushy side but still gave great support. I slept like a baby and the room was very quite. The hotel restaurant might have the best food on the island as the personal chief of the hotel owner oversees the kitchen. Everything I ordered was tasty and surprisingly very affordable. The District will also pick you up at the airport and take you directly to your hotel, and also take you back. In our case we took the ferry over from the main Island of Panay, and as we returned Myke (smiling and friendly) took us back to the terminal, but what happened next surprised us. He paid for our fare back to the Island and also had a 3rd ticket for himself! He carried all our luggage onto the ferry and walked with us to our van, then packed our van and stayed until we left! What amazing service. This is a truly GREAT hotel, there's a reason why the US ambassador stays at the District. It's the best hotel you can get in Station 2 and perhaps the best in all of Boracay, maybe even the entire Philippines? I will always treasure the memories I had there. I loved it. Highly recommend it.
Excellent service, great location, beautiful room”
From the moment you step inside The District, you are made to feel so welcomed. The staff are so lovely and friendly and genuinely interested in looking after your needs, which sets The District apart from any other resort in Boracay. The resort is set right in the middle of Station Two, on the beachfront. The hotel has beach chairs reserved only for hotel patrons, and provide a security service to mind belongings while you dip in the ocean. Highest regards go out to the staff of The District for going beyond the extra mile to make our stay so perfect. The rooms were beautifully appointed and were fitted out with modern tastes. Staying in a premier room, our room was towards the back of the resort making it a quiet getaway. The resorts design creates it both a family friendly atmosphere, as well as a hideaway from the hustle of the beach front. It is so perfectly located amongst restaurants and shopping areas. The restaurant attached maybe a little over priced but is still great value for money and the food was delicious as were the staff. The rooftop bar is a great getaway, especially during happy hour where drinks are a lot cheaper and the view of the sunset over the beach is priceless. Highly recommend taking advantage of this view at one point during your stay. Only the best words to say about The District, and recommend to anyone who is willing to pay a little extra on their stay at Boracay!
Highly recommended! Everything is excellent!”
- I would say that The District is closer to the end of Station 2 (towards Station 1); D'Mall is only a few steps away and so are the restaurants, pubs and beach massages. So you get the convenience but not the noise :) - The beach is right at the front step and The District has some lounge deck chairs (maybe 20?) reserved just for the guests so you don't have to walk around the beach, trying to rent one. And the staff are always nearby to help you with the chairs and to take your drink/food orders. - The room is clean and equipped with the basic necessities (hairdryer, toiletries etc). - We love that the hotel has also prepared life vests, towels, sandcastle-making toys and floats for the guests to use in the hotel pool. And there would be at least 1 staff at the hotel pool, ready to assist you. - Getting from Caticlan Airport to The District isn't easy (bus, ferry then bus) and we appreciate the complimentary transfers that the hotel has arranged for us. They even go the extra mile of asking for your return flight details so they can plan your check-out and departure times. - We were in Boracay celebrating my girlfriend's birthday in advance so I tried asking for a room with a better view, unfortunately all the rooms are the same and have pretty much the same view, so they were not able to do much about my request. BUT they surprised my girlfriend and me on our last day when they came to our room with a small birthday cake and a camera to take our pictures :) What impressed us so much is the excellent service and the little things the staff do to make us feel special. Definitely coming back!
Great place, high end, great location”
Very accommodating staff. We transferred from a different hotel early in the am but had a tour booked until late in the afternoon. We asked to check in early and was very surprised when we got to the District because they had everything ready for us! We were able to enjoy our tour stress free and without the hassle of checking in afterwards when we would be tired already. We arrived to the lobby of the hotel, and the front desk girls were smiling and welcomed us with refreshing drinks and a cool towel. That definitely made our day since boracay can be very hot! The room was huge and beautifully/uniquely designed! We loved the complimentary desserts, slippers, toiletries and luggage tags. Every staff member we met greeted us by ou names, which made us feel very welcomed. We also arranged for our transfer to the airport with The District. Unlike other hotels who charge for this service, the airport transfer and pickups were complimentary. Anyone who has been to boracay knows that it can be quite a hassle to get from your hotel to the airport since it involves a walk through a narrow alley with luggages + van ride + boat ride + van ride. Dealing with the boat terminal is also a hassle. Well, the District has a private van, private boat and private port. They even send a private luggage porter AND guide throughout the entire way to ensure that you get to the airport hassle free. We were very impressed by the professionalism of our tour guide and driver, as well as the seamless process of our transfer. We will definitely stay at the district again!
Great Hotel and Fantastic Staff”
We enjoyed every moment of our stay at The District Boracay from the moment we checked into the hotel. We arrived at 10.30am and were really stoked when the hotel allowed us to check in already. We had booked the premier room and was happy with the size and cleanliness of the room. We had a bit of problem which was one of the Air-Conditioner in the room not working very well. There were 2 hotel staff that came to solve the problem and there was no more issue after that. Security guard from the hotel is present at the beach area to guard the hotel guests' personal belongings and also to organize sun loungers for guests. We were very pleased with this nice touch. The hotel was also nice to surprise us with 2 complimentary cakes which was meant for my husband's birthday on the night we arrived and another cake for our anniversary on the second night of our stay. It is also about 3 minutes walk to D'Mall that have plenty of restaurants to choose from. All in all, we would recommend this hotel to all our family or friends who are visiting Boracay.
Awesome experience with this hotel.”
I have been to a lot of boracay hotels over my 10 trips for the past years and I would say that District Hotel is easily on the top 5 among the likes of Discovery Shores and Astoria. The price range of this hotel is more than the average but it is justified by the quality of rooms, amenities and service they provide. The rooms are modern, spacious and very comfortable. Ours had a lot of mosquitoes on the first night but the staff were able to get rid of it with bug spray in the morning. Beds are hotel linens, aircon is nice and quiet, shower is top notch. The pool facility is just a step outside the room and is well designed. Heated pool would be appreciated. The staff are trained very well to accommodate requests. I caught a sore throat during the stay and they were able to provide me honey to drink and salt water to gargle with. The staff will always stop to greet and smile at you whenever you cross them. They will provide a sweet surprise for you every night. There is wifi on the entire resort with great signal. The beach front of the hotel is also admirable with free use of beach beds and towels. If you are booking 3 pax in a deluxe room, you will get two queen beds. If you do not want to share beds, they can provide a free single mattress you can lay down on the floor. Best location for this hotel since it's in the middle of Station 1 and Station 2. If you have the budget, don't think twice about this hotel.
This hotel was perfect for our stay in Boracay. Perfect location, very central to shops and restaurants and right on the beach. Amazing for watching the most stunning sunsets. We arranged a transfer direct from hotel and was seamless. Picked up from arrivals, private van to private speedboat then another private van. The staff seemed to be talking to each other as there was no waiting about. When we arrived the room was spacious and really clean and my boyfriend / hotel had balloons and birthday cake waiting for me as was celebrating my 40th. The food in the hotel is reasonably priced with a decent selection. Nice pool which is quiet during the day, which was perfect with us. The only downside, which is out of control of the hotel, was boracay itself. We didn't realise how busy the island was. Totally overrun with tourism, people trying to sell you suff and getting you into their restaurants or bar. We thought that with the island being rejuvenated it meant reduced tourism but unfortunately not. Although we still loved getting to see the absolutely stunning sunsets, white sandy beaches and crystal blue waters.
excellent stay at the District”
We very much enjoyed our stay at the District. The staff were all attentive and polite. Great customer service all the way. The hotel offers round trip airport transfer, and even though we departed Boracay from another hotel, the District staff still picked us up from the other hotel and took us to the airport. We stayed during the week that Hurricane Yolanda hit, so everything was a bit hectic on the island. The District staff really did their best to make us stay as enjoyable as possible. Will definitely stay here again the next time I visit Boracay! special thanks to staff for going the extra mile for us :)
Amazing Hospitality !!”
We stayed 6 nights in our last week trip to Boracay and 2 of them have been with The District. We stayed in 3 different hotels (Boracay uptown and Henann Prime beach) and The district experience has been just phenomenal. The transfer from kalibo was a breeze ( esp witb our 5YO impatient twins), the beach area felt safe and almost "private". They even have Kids beach toys and kids sized safety jackets for use. Staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. Location is just perfect; right in the middle of station2, yet not noisy and 3 mins walk to D'mall.Everything you need is just around the corner. funny enough but the whole district experience elevated our expectation so high that we could not help but compare during our subsequent stays. Go and stay there - you will not regret it!
I don't love Boracay as much as I loved my hotel, The Distric. It rained almost whole time we were there but the hotel was incredible. All the staff were so polite, friendly, and anticipated our needs. The breakfast had American style food as well as Filipino too. The location is in the middle of station 2. The area isn't as crazy busy as the beach at station 1 and not as gross and run-down as station 3 area. Super professional staff. They make you feel like a king. The small things really make the hotel rise above others I've been to all over the world: every night the come around with a small container of cookies to put in your room. You can borrow towels, life jackets, and even pool toys from the pool staff. They have an umbrella in every room and you can borrow another if you like. They give pack a good bye breakfast for you if you have to leave before the breakfast service. Thank you to everyone who works at The District!!!
Excellent location, and great great value. ”
We spent 4 nights at The District Boracay, and was picked up from the airport, and personally escorted to the lovely hotel which was a great value. It is the nicest hotel you will find in this area as it is only 3 years old. It is literally right in the middle of the action, and has a great pool, and staff. The free breakfast buffet was great, and the staff friendly. Our room was even upgraded when we arrived, and that was definitely a plus. Even without the upgrade I would give this place high praise as the staff was very friendly, and for the price it can't be beat. I would be surprised by anyone who gives this place a negative review as this place is professional staffed, and well designed.
Fantastic place to stay in Boracay, New breed of hotel affordable luxury.Rooms very similar to Discovery Shores but at 1/2 if not 1/4 the price, plus the food options very affordable in their Italian cafe, or a chill out on the beachside bar. Or the complete station 2 bar and resto drag on the door step. Just be careful in the sea water here, it seems the D'MAll and the old neighboring hotels sewage pollutes this stretch. District Swimming pool pristine as is the whole hotel. A Must return type of hotel.
Great Modern Hotel”
This is a very new hotel. It is perfectly located in the main strip on the beach front of Boracay. From here you go left for shopping & food or right for food and slightly less busy beach toward Station 1. From walking thru the small but well staffed foyer you do feel like you have come home to some serenity and it does have a nice feel. I saw a lot of hotels along Station 2&3 and would still choose this one should I return. There are some higher standard places along St 1 but I did feel they are a bit of of everything. If you want pure romance maybe St 1 area is the go. The District offers a private chaired area on the beach directly in front of the hotel but we found ourselves walking toward St 1 area. The rooms are nice and well sized, we stayed at the back of hotel on request to avoid noise and couldnt hear any of the nightlife.
Very good location, spacious and clean room, Staff are nice and accommodating”
We went there right after a typhoon hit Boracay. Some hotels and establishments did not have electricity. But The District had generators and did not encounter the same problems, they also never ran out of ice for happy hour unlike other establishments in the Island. The staff are very friendly, accommodating and were really attentive to all our requests. We would request for towels or banig at 5am before walking to the beach and they would always attend to our request promptly. We forgot to get the name of the guy on duty between 5 to 6 am in the reception area, but he would always promptly and courteously assist us. The hotel's location is great as it is very near D'Mall and a lot of restaurants, but once you go inside the property is also quiet. The House Brew Cafe also serves one of the best mango cheesecake. But the hotel can still improve on its breakfast spread, but we really like the papaya juice. The NYE party has a lot of room for improvement, you can get livelier bands.
Over and above service”
I booked a last minute solo trip to Boracay and based on other reviews decided to stay at The District. My stay exceeded my expectations on every level. From picking me up at the airport, to arranging tours for me, to diligently making sure I had everything I needed/wanted at the beach, the staff/service was incredible. The hotel could not be in a more perfect location - walking distance to D Mall but close enough to Station 1 to enjoy a more peaceful and relaxing beachfront. The 3rd floor Star Lounge was a great place to grab a cocktail or some food and the breakfast buffet had everything you could want. I really have no complaints about my stay at The District and hope to return again in the future!
Luxury quiet hotel in great location.”
After staying at the red coconut for the first night in boracay and being horrified with the room, we walked literally 25 meters along the beach and found the district. We booked 3 nights at the district and it made our honeymoon absolutely amazing. Staff were lovely and very accommodating and gave us 5 star service. Breakfast was excellent and the restaurant Caruso served the best food in boracay. Happy hour at the star lounge overlooking the beach and sunset was brilliant. Rooms were fantastic and clean and no noisy music from the street could be heard. Would highly recommend the district to everyone, could not fault it.
This is my third stay at the District and of course it was excellent as always! I will never stay at another hotel in Boracay. The staff immediately remembered us and gave us a warm welcome when we arrived. They remembered from my last stay about our upcoming wedding and also gave us the same room we had stayed at in the past. Free upgrade and also gave us a bottle of wine as a gift for our recent wedding. The staff doesn't turnover and it was great to see familiar faces each time we come. The beach front is exquisite, and the location is absolutely perfect. I personally think it is a 5-star rating. I will only stay at the District on my future visits to Boracay!
Beachfront Hotel in Boracay”
The District Boracay is a beachfront hotel with nice and clean rooms. Front Desk staff and all the men doing various services were accommodating and helpful. Breakfast spread is adequate but not too great. Negative comments: 1) there's a foul smell near the rear end of the swimming pool, most likely from their sewer and 2) the hotel van that took us from Cagban Jetty Port to the hotel and back passed through what they call the 'back road' instead of Boracay HiWay. The back road is really a turn-off... Hope the hotel management will look into these issues.
This is where you stay if you go to Boracay. No where else compares (as I've stayed at other hotels in Boracay). At this hotel you actually get what you pay for. The room was new, modern, and comfortable. The staff was very attentive/pro-active. For example, while lounging on the beach with my wife, a staff member would notice the sun beginning to shine onto us and adjust the position of our umbrella accordingly. They did this without us requesting. This hotel was designed/planned out very well. The main difference, I guess, was that you really felt like the staff's top priority was your comfort; whereas, at other Boracay hotels after check-in, you're pretty much left to fend for yourself. This place is WELL worth the money. Even the wifi was good (noticed there were access points on towers to accommodate guests on the upper floors).
Excellent Location and staff”
We had a great stay at The District. The free airport transfer right to the front desk is wonderful. The staff is always smiling and friendly. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet but my Husband thought the food was always the same. The pool is great. The location of The District is perfect, right out the door and you're on the beach in a chair with a guard that will watch your belongings while you go to the water. Only a few minutes to Starbucks, always a plus in my book. There are many restaurants to eat at which ever direction you go. Boracay itself isn't cheap, the food is much higher than you will pay in Cebu or Bantayan Island, but you are paying for a nice resort type experience.
