Quaint and cosy”
Me and my husband spent a couple of nights here for a mini getaway, and it was lovely! In a great spot of the Barossa, great breakfast supplied and such a cosy little place! We will be back again I’m sure! Only thing was that the bed was a bit uncomfortable!
Very nice place”
Well located, quality, well appointed accommodation. We had a great time here.
Very cute cottage with an excellent breakfast supplied. Loved it!
The most perfect B & B, couldn't have asked for anything better. Gorgeous setting, close to town.”
The owner has thought of everything. The cottage is spacious & at times we preferred to stay in than venture out. Walking distance to the main shopping strip & cafes. Super clean & the most comfortable bed I've slept on. Generous breakfast provisions of a range of cereals, eggs, bacon, tomatoes & mushrooms. Yogurt, fruit, juice, bread & various spreads for toast. All self contained with cute mini kitchen hidden within a cupboard, great spa. Extras such as mints & port. There's nothing we were missing & I'd stay there again in a heatbeat. There is nothing negative at all. We were in the front studio cottage set in a gorgeous English style garden. Very private & cute courtyard that opens from French doors. The perfect spot for breakfast, cuppa or glass of wine. Loved everything about the Dove Cote & certainly value for money.
We loved the layout of the cottage. The boys were up in the loft so there was privacy for us. Breakfast provided was scrumptious. More than what we can eat! Cooking facilities were well equipped. Totally enjoyed ourselves
Comfortable and cosy cottage, ideally situated for exploring this region”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage had everything we needed, was spotless, and easy walking to shops and restaurants in town. Lovely garden with friendly host.
Excellent base for exploring the Barrossa Valley. Very clean and fitted out with everything you could need. Gardens glorious.
Everything we needed and close to the main strip of Tanunda! :)
Relaxing food weekend”
The cottage was as beautiful as we remembered it to be (this is our second time staying here). Close to great restaurants and lovely shops, Tununda is a fantastic location for a weekend away from it all.
Our stay at The Dove Cote”
Lovely little cottage with every amenity needed - fully self contained. The refrigerator was stocked with eggs, bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes, butter, milk and orange juice. There was also a fresh loaf of bread. The owner Matthew could not do enough for us. We had a blackout one evening and he dropped over with a massive candle and a torch. The bed was very comfortable and the airconditioning was very welcome during the hot 38 degree days. It would be a very cosy cottage during the winter. The Dove Cote was a great base for travelling around the Barossa and was about 2 minutes walk to the main street of Tanunda and restaurants, pubs and shops. Highly recommended.
Romantic little getaway”
We leased both the two bedroom and studio of the dovecote for our family to get married - as the bride and groom, we had the studio. We loved it. we found it nice and private and very romantic; we loved being able to walk everywhere for dinner or coffee. there is a garage directly across the road from the studio so there can be lots of cars about but it didnt bother us at all, because we were usually back very late in the day and so the place had closed by the time we were back. plenty of breakfast goods, nicely laid out little place off the beaten track but close to everything; the two bedroom part at the rear is fantastic, very homey. Great place for extended family to stay together highly recommend for such stays - we found it excellent to get ready for our wedding in, and to then honeymoon in!
Cosy, lovely, honest ”
Had a wonderful weekend to celebrate our one year anniversary. Love the studio, thank you so much!
What potential this place has but it is sooo kitch! Tried to fit too much into a small space. Ideal if you like fake flowers, doves everywhere and cupids.
Very comfortable ”
Great place? High spec and very comfortable. Food pack for breakfast outstanding
Absolutely amazing! ”
The Dove Cote was the best little place I have stayed at. It is located right in the middle of action, close to cafes and restaurants, but is very quiet and isolated at the same time. We stayed at the Studio, and despite of being right at the front, it felt very private. We had a side exit right into the back yard. Everything in the Studio is thoroughly thought through - from fully equipped kitchen, all the food and toiletry supplies, nice cozy back yard & BBQ, to tiny heart-shaped chocolates and home made wine. I will definitely want to stay there again my next time in the Barossa.
Great little room”
Being behind the local Ford dealership service centre meant our mornings were shared with the sound of high pressure hoses, dropped tools and tyre irons as well as revving cars. I imagine that a weekend stay would not include these early morning activities. The room itself was comfortable, the gardens beautiful and at night kind of peaceful. We enjoyed the evenings there in the courtyard - bottle of wine and local produce.
Everything was fabulous apart from the bed. Th mattress was way too hard. Both my husband and I woke up sore the next day
A wonderful little hideaway. ”
Perfect! We loved everything about the studio apartment. Lovely facilities and close to town.
Relaxing and surprisingly clean and well thought o”
It was a treat to arrive at the Dove Cote and find such a lovely place right in the heart of the Barossa. Walking distance to everything. The room was the cleanest place I have ever stayed. Breakfast provisions were generous and delicious. The studio was well set up with everything thought of and there were plenty of pillows for the very comfortable bed. Highly recommend.
