A wonderful stay in a wonderful hotel”
Me and my wife stayed at Natural Ville for 3 days before I moved to another hotel in Siam Square. We planned to have quality time for ourselves over the weekends before my business meetings the days after. And quality time he had! It is one of those (rare) hotels where you get more than the pictures on their website. The one bed-room suite was a class, very modern and spacious for holidaying couples (and I suspect the space could handle even one or two kids). It was (suprisingly) in a relative quite part of Bangkok yet still very much accessible to the tourist attractions. The hotel staff were excellent. You feel valued the moment you step out of your taxi. Although our room rate doesn't include breakfast, it doesn't bother as a bit as the room is fully equipied with cooking equipment that made cooking breakfast a breeze (and any other meals but you are in Bangkok might as well eat out ;)) Nowhere is the difference in the quality of rooms more stark than when we had to moved to another popular hotel inside Siam Square (company rules that we stay there for the duration of the meetings). The room is definitely bigger in Natural Ville (imagine that our bathroom in Natural Ville is twice the size of the bathroom in my hotel in Siam Square), the cable have more good channels, the Internet connection is faster, of lest I forgot... it is cheaper by about $25. I will really recommend staying in this hotel. My wife and I are planning to go back to Bangkok soon and we will definitely stay here again.
Perfect Hotel to Conclude my 3 week trip abroad”
The hotel lived to every bit of standard that it was rated. The location is excellent between Lumphini park and all the shopping mall district, the hotel itself was very nice and comfortable, and the staff were of top notch service, a concierge by the name of Yut was more accommodating than you can ever imagine. It also helped that they gave me an upgrade room, and I pretty much got a room that was bigger than an average sized apartment that included living room, kitchen with refrigerator and cooking appliances as well as silverware. Certainly good bargain for what i paid, Duchess Hotel is well deserving of getting high grade from me!
We booked a suite for just over 3,000thb pn. The Rooms were on the 14 floor and the suite was absolutely massive. We usually stay at Sevotel, but it was on at 5,000 a night, so we gave the Duchess a go. Outstanding value for money, good location, very clean, nice breakfast, decent pool, lovely bar area (happy hour 2 for 1 5-8pm). The best thing about the hotel are it’s staff...truly outstanding- customer service at its finest. We also spoke to the manager and complimented him on how good the Duchess is. Fantastic value for money, I would unhesitatingly recommend the Duchess.
Love this hotel. Definitely Recommend it.”
Casual, modern hotel offering relaxed rooms, plus meeting & event space. We stay at the Duchess Hotel everytime visiting Bangkok. My wife and I love the wonderful and professional staff specially Mr. Pat, an excellent manager. They make us at home. We definitely recommend this excellent hotel with great facilities and friendly staff.
Great all round value”
Langsuan is a good street to stay on if you're in Bangkok on business. The street has many serviced apartments and hotels and is close to two BTS stations. Being a frequent visitor to Bangkok, in the past year I've stayed at the following serviced apts on Langsuan: Centerpoint, Cape House and Natural Ville, and the Luxx Hotel. I paid a similar rate at each location and this review reflects that. Natural Ville is easily the nicest with big rooms and the most appealing bathrooms; it is professionally managed by Accor. Centerpoint's serviced apts were a notch down from Natural Ville's but were very good nonetheless. You probably won't want to stay at Centerpoint though if you have young children because Centerpoint's open "foyer" runs up the center of the building and there's always a fear that inquisitive children could scale the railings and fall...At the time of writing [Jan 2010], Cape House is undergoing renovation (two floors at a time) so there's a strong acrid smell when the A/C is on. As for Luxx, I had a very quiet room and slept well. However, for the price, Luxx is not in the same league as the other locations mentioned in this review. As with some other "boutique" hotels I've stayed at, the rooms in this boutique hotel are small. All locations had friendly staff.
Awesome location, huge and well-appointed rooms”
I recommend this hotel for both business and pleasure travel. It's centrally located yet quiet, the rooms are tastefully decorated and very spacious. Staff is pleasant and courteous. A small kitchenette in my room and a large fridge allowed me to have groceries when I didn't feel like going out. A large outdoor swimming pool was rarely used, so I had it mostly to myself. I did not take the room with the breakfast option, but the morning spread was ample from what I saw and looked and smelled delicious. The Duchess is close to Lumpini park, Bangkok's biggest green space. If you are a runner or just like to walk, it is pleasantly peopled with locals and foreigners alike. The hotel also has great coffee, which I appreciated it as I just moved here from Rome. I do not recommend ordering a taxi from the airport through the hotel. They charge ten times the going rate, and taxis from hotel are many and safe.
Really nice apartment with excellent location”
It locates in Lang Suan street, a beautiful and not very noisy street in Bangkok. There are a lot of nice restaurants and shopping centers along the street. residences is also in downtown Bangkok where you can walk to center world plaza or just 1 bts station away from siam center. It is close to the bts stations as well. In addition, the room is spacious and clean. Will definitely book this hotel again when coming back to Bangkok
I’ve been staying at the Duchess ( and previous name of hotel which o forget ) since 2011 after visiting friends there for a wedding. Now all my friends and family stay there on my recommendation as it is for me the best hotel and value for money hotel I have ever stayed in and I love the spacious big 1 bedrooms. I have stayed in many of the top brand hotels in Bangkok but I always feel something more pleasant and natural at he Duches
Nice spot in the heart of Bangkok”
Nice place close to all famous shopping malls of Siam and Sukhumvit area. The Hotel itself is located right in the middle of Lang Suan Road between Chitlom BTS station and Lumphini Park. Both Chitlom and Ratchadamri BTS stations are in walking distance 5-10 mins. The facilities are clean and very spacious, the upper floors around 20th and higher have a nice view. We didnt try the breakfast but ordered food to the room twice and weren't disappointed. Staff is also very helpful. We would recommend this place to anyone who would like to stay in the center of Bangkok on a valuable price with spacious rooms in a nice area. You should definitely try the small restaurant just 5 mins to the direction of Lumphini Park on the right hand side where they serve authentic and cheap Isaan food! I'm not sure about the name but you will definitely recognize it for its all local customers ;)
Good location, big room, good price”
The hotel is 10min walk to Central world/central embassy. About 3min taxi to Siam Paragon. There is a family supermarket near there. Easy to catch a meter taxi (there are some taxi park in front of hotel but you have to deal the price) Big room, good for group or family with children. I love all staff at Natural ville. I have to say, i cant find any other hotel near shopping area which have big rooms and $100/night. Pool is small but okay. I often swim in the morning and there was only our family members They have thin wall so i can hear someone talking or other room's tv noise. Air conditioner is noisy and some lights cant turn on, some outlet not works (happened both rooms we booked). Hotel needs to take care more those little things
Great serviced apartment not too far away from shopping centre and skytrain”
Duchess Hotel is a great serviced apartment with large rooms, good selection of food for breakfast and friendly staff. Location is convenient to 2x skytrain stations, Ratchademri on Silom line and Chit lom on Sukhimvit line though is about a 8-10 min walk to each station. Shower has a bench which I do like to sit down when showering. Only issue I have is rooms don't have own washing machine therefore have to use their laundry facility which costs 80 baht to wash, 100 baht to dry. TV does have a lot of channels but the ones I watch, TV reception was a tad grainy but watchable. I might stay here again in the future but might try another place as there are many serviced apartments around.
Brilliant!!! Very modern and spacious apartment.”
Overall, this hotel was one of the best hotel I stays in bangkok comparing the price and quality. I even stayed at mayfair Marriott hotel which is 5 star and it is just facing this hotel. To be honest I enjoyed more to stay in this hotel. And the location was pretty good, I think it's in the middle of Bangkok. China town : 10 mins by car. Shopping centre : 2 stops away by sky train. If anyone planning on holiday in Bangkok, choose this hotel as you will never be disappointed. However, bear in mind that the traffic in Bangkok is horrible and this place is one of the worst area as I spent 3 hours to get back to hotel from the shopping centre which only takes 5 mins without traffic. And once stop at traffic light, you will be surrounded by thousands of motor cycles. If they make scratch on your car, remember you have to pay to the rent car company. So better use sky train.
Hidden gem in superb location in Bangkok”
Natural Ville has got to be Bangkok's best kept secret in terms of accommodation. If you don't want (or need) all the bells and whistles of a 5-star hotel (multi in-house restaurants, day spas, shops etc) - this property is a superb alternative. The location is about as perfect as you could want in Bangkok. 10 minute walk to either Chit Lom BTS or Ratchadamri BTS (giving you access to both BTS lines). Lang Suan - the road on which the hotel is located is relatively quiet for Bangkok. You can walk to Lumphini Park in less than 10 minutes. There is an excellent supermarket right across the road from the hotel also - with a huge selection of stuff, including impressive wine selection. The rooms are huge - 2 or 3 times bigger than you average hotel room scenario. I was in a 70sqm room and it's worth paying a little extra for the space of this size room. The kitchen is functional. The bathroom is vast - the shower even had a built in seat! TV and sound system very good, other furnishings - great. King size bed, nice cotton linen - all good. The pool area and small gym are both functional. The in house café/bar/restaurant downstairs (Lenotre) is nice. Good selection of dining options. There is a Starbucks 10 minutes up the road if you prefer. Staff here are totally professional. From the security guys out the front (love how they salute you when you arrive!), the concierge guys, reception and house keeping staff. Delightful.
Exceeded my expectations.”
Even with good reviews, there is always an element of doubt. But the good reviews were spot on. Incredible value for money. I'm a light sleeper, so noise is always a concern when booking accommodation. My room on the 19th floor was lovely and quiet. The staff on reception spoke very good English, were polite and helpful. My next visit to Bangkok will definitely include staying at Natural Ville Executive Residences.
One of the best !”
Of so many times traveling to Bangkok, this is by far the best amazing and magically affected my impression on the hotel. It doesn't come with a super grand lobby but with the out-performed super duper friendliness of the staff, you will be amazed with !! Location might be a bit far but it's just about 5-8min walking distance to 2 BTS station and both station are easy to either travel down Siam or terminal 21 because the hotel is in between both area. Thou shall be wary of those thugs taxi driver outside the hotel by the road as they tend to jack up prices and not use meter. But... Fear not, the chief concierge will always be willing to help you getting a taxi with meter ( just let them know you want a cab that use meter) if the chief is not around, the security guards will also help you get it... You need to do is just stand at the lobby and wait. Even during raining time, 1 of the security guard helped me with getting a taxi with meter while he told me to just wait inside. Definitely will go back to this hotel again !!
Great Hotel/Serviced Apartment”
We have been here several times - right back to when it was the Natural Ville and there was a french patisserie restaurant at the entrance ( miss that ). This was the first time we had stayed in its new incarnation as The Duchess. The 1 bed superior we stayed in again is a great size and really feels like home from home. The rooms are looking a little bit tired now ( a few paint chips etc. ), but the size and location make up for it : food loft at the end of the road and cut through to the Skytrain opposite is very quick. The bed was quite firm, but they let us have a mattress topper. Giant bath and wet room shower was great. The pool is nice and private, but they don’t have it lit up at night anymore with the sprinklers which is a shame. Overall - great!!!
Comfortable. Quiet. Worth money. ”
The area is 10-min walk away from Chit Lom BTS, which is 1 station away Siam Center. If you don't mind walking, then the hotel is fantastic and to me, worth money. However, it's a bit of inconvenient when there is rain. I booked it at rate 70$ and breakfast is included, which is very hard to find in my experience with Bangkok so far. Room is fairly spacious, quipped with 2 TVs yet not plasma, kitchen, living room with sofa and big comfortable bed. The area is very quiet, it suits me because I want some peaceful rest away nightlife and noise. , Breakfast combine of Asean and Western food, you can either choose to enjoy breakfast in air-conditioned room or outside with sun and wind in the morning.
nice place in central location”
I extended my stay here and will definitely stay at the Natural Ville again when business brings me to Bangkok. The location is perfect, right in the middle of the city with easy access to/from the airport, shopping at Siam Sq and easy to get to either Sukhumvhit or Silom business districts. Nice, polite service, good breakfast, nice pool. The hotel even goes to the trouble of posting a sign instructing guests not to take the taxis that are always waiting in front of the hotel, since they won't use the meter and are looking for every opportunity to cheat you. The hotel staff will flag a metered taxi for you on the street if you don't want to do it yourself. nice touch.
good value for money”
It was very pleasant staying in this hotel. We booked a studio room at the same price as a double room in other hotel but got a nice kitchen, large living room everything else. The kitchen had everything you need : cookware, utensils, washing stuffs (you may not need to do the washing yourself). I highly recommend this type of room for families with small children or the elderly who need special food. The staffs were very helpful. They helped us book metered taxi or bargain for a good deal with the taxi driver (which is quite essential while you're in Bangkok).
hotel is managed by accor and this guarantees the overall satisfation. location is fantastic, a few minute walk to bts stations: rajdamri (3 min), chitlom (5 min). langsuan is one of the best streets in bkk - direct city center, very close to the biggest shopping centers (10 min to siam paragon, 7 min to central world and geysorn, 5 min to central chidlom). there are a few very good restaurants and great massage places that keep higher standard yet the samelow prices vs. top turisty places such as sukhumvit. we have travelled extensively in asia and thailand specifically and know what to expect with regards to food. the breakfast buffet was a pleasant surprise - not a super wide choice but great variety (fresh bakery, great coffee, good ham and salads just to list a few items). room (we stayed in studio) was good, not fantastic. it is visible that it is a bit old (with used out, greyish towels) but very clean and pleasantly furnished.
Take a look at these facilities:
