Wow, absolutely the best location for access to SFO, Caltrain and BART. If you have meetings or events both in SF and the Peninsula or an early flight this spot can’t be beat. Really thoughtful touches and details — USB, night lights, water bottles you can borrow, a wine tap in the lobby and more. Would definitely stay again.

The comforts of a luxury hotel room, the nostalgia of an motel, the practicality in a covid pandemic of outdoor corridors, quiet rooms, walking distance to BART, and a quick drive to SFO with two gas stations on the block so you can easily refill the tank before returning a rental car. This place was tastefully renovated, with high end finishes and thoughtful amenities like a water filling station and reusable water Thermoses, a fridge filled with a variety of excellently priced wines and beers. Superb, staff who are clearly well chosen and valued by their employers. It is a fantastic service to travellers. I was utterly charmed. Congratulations to the creators.

It's like a Italian villa”
So not designed to be a Ritz, it's like a very cute villa star with decor office area, hallway seating area, and the room is simple but very uniquely styled. It's a simple hotel that someone spent money renovated not to just be newer but with flavor. So if you want a five star Ritz, it's not. But a five star for it's uniqueness, cleanliness, affordability, and just adorable , this is it.

Excellent find”
This hotel has done a lot with a little. It's basically a converted motel that has upscaled via tasteful and quirky decor, solid service, and smart amenities. We especially appreciated the environmentally-friendly metal thermoses provided for filling with ice and water from the machines in the lobby. The record player and vintage LPs in the room was also a fun touch. The hotel is located very close to SFO, and there are surprisingly good food options (diner breakfast, outstanding Chinese food, etc.) nearby in Millbrae. Would definitely stay here again.

Very comfortable beds”
I've stayed here a couple of times now and always have found the beds to be VERY comfortable. Also, walking distance to BART and CalTrain makes it easy to get around without a car; particularly if you're going to San Francisco. In general, it VERY clean and desk folks are friendly and helpful.

A great property! Newly renovated, nicely decorated, well-equipped motel rooms, with great bedding, exceptional cleanliness, and more amenities than you'd expect from a motel - including coffee maker, iron and ironing board, and UBS plugs for easy device charging. Excellent!

Distinctive, convenient”
Agree with the many other positive comments. Room and hotel as a whole were physically comfortable, visually comfortable, and architecturally comfortable. Many small decisions have been made thoughtfully rather than haphazardly. Soundproofing was a little weak, so some train noise and hallway noise, but didn't interrupt a good sleep. Many dinning choices within walking distance. Also drug stores, department stores and many small, mixed businesses -- not the industrial wasteland you find around many hotels adjacent to airports. If you are there midday Saturday, visit the train museum directly behind the hotel.

Charming, Basic, Non-Traditional”
This spunky, hip, charming hotel is not cookie cutter in any way. If I understand correctly, it is a creatively converted Econolodge. It has beautiful plantings and a first floor outdoor seating area with a fountain and padded sofas, totally protected from the road noise. It isn't directly beneath a flight path from SFO, so my room was quiet, too. I will definitely return, especially if I can find a good base price. Note: there is no pool, hot tub, or restaurant, and I'm not sure what qualifies The Dylan for 3 stars, but it is a wonderful relief from generic hotels, and well worth experiencing. The friendly staff was a big plus.

Great little hotel, super clean, great host”
Pro: after a long flight and late night, the Dylan hotel offered wine by the glass or bottle to bring to our room. That was so appreciated! Nice room set up, very clean, convenient location (but we thought it was at SFO, it was a good 15 min drive, $18 Uber 😕). Room could use a refrigerator. Otherwise it was great!

Perfect for a short stay in the San Francisco Bay area!”
We spent 3 nights at this hotel and were happy we chose it. It's a short shuttle ride away from the airport and conveniently located within a 5 minute walk of the Milbrae BART station. This made getting into downtown San Francisco easy, despite the close to 30 minute trip. Something to keep in mind if visiting for a longer period. The room itself was comfortable and the restricted access to the rooms made us feel safe. The breakfast was just enough to fill us up in the morning. There are also drinks and snacks available for purchase if need be and stores located nearby. This is the perfect affordable hotel for a short visit. I'm happy the hotel management has paid so much attention to the details. If the management does read this, I would like to say, please consider real plates and cutlery for the breakfast area instead. I did feel bad having to throw the used plastic cutlery away after breakfast. I will definitely be coming back again the next time I'm in San Francisco.

Perfect for a rest and close to the BART”
I used this to stay overnight after a late flight at SFO before taking the BART the next day. The only thing I would do differently is take a cab from the airport rather than the BART late at night!
