It’s a very good hotel with nice food and helpful service.”
One thing I liked that city drop service. Whenever I need that I always availed the service, which is very handy. Otherwise I need to book a taxi.
It is nice hotel with good service and food. But rooms are need to be more spacious. ”
Here one good thing that Himalaya can be seen from bed itself.
Awesome heritage property, huge rooms”
Exceptionally clean, huge spacious rooms. One of the best heritage properties that I have stayed. The staff is very nice and curteous. Since we reached early in the morning, the manager was kind enough to give a room to freshen up until our room was ready. If you are visiting Nainital you must stay here...
Good hotel to stay”
This is an good property to stay. Location is not so far from mall road, they provide shuttle service till mall road. Rooms are good but could have been maintained better. Staff is co-operative. Food is good but not awesome. If you are looking for a good hotel to stay a little far from mall road, its an good option.
Decent hotel but not value for money ”
This is a decent hotel but not value for money. Below is the detailed review: 1. Location: while it is closer to Mall Road, but not walkable. You neither get quick access to lake nor Mall Road. Even the view from hotel is below average, pictures in the description are professionally taken to show big open area. Only positive point is that there is a cab service available to drop off to the Mall Road. 2. Staff: people are very nice and helpful. 3. Rooms: very clean rooms. But they are like a closed box with only one door, no windows/balcony etc. You feel like you are in a silo with no connect to weather/view outside. 4. Facilities: there was live music and bonfire. No other activity available. There is no space to sit n enjoy a drink, you can drink only in your room. While I respect the rules of the hotel, but there should be some place other than a closed box to enjoy a drink in open air. 5. Food: Food is decent and prices are competitive.
Look for other options. Not recommended at all”
I had booked deluxe and heritage room, one each for one night. The rooms offered were completely contrary to the pics shown on site and were smaller in size with rooms, bedsheets and furniture being very shabby n untidy. The wooden furnishings and chandelier are on top floor rooms only. Room service is dismal to say the least. Avoid taking breakfast at hotel as it may spoil ur digestive system. The hotel being situated at approx distance of 1.8km from mall road, shuttle services are provided subjected to availability with limited timing of 10:00am to 8:00pm i.e if you are thinking to take stroll along the mall road late evening or early morning you have find your own mode for communication. To sum up the review, it is strictly not advisable to stay in such pathetic hotel after spending a handsome amount. Can look into much better which are available and don't get fooled by the pictures shown.
Stay here if you don't have any other options”
Far away from the mall road, but offers free car pick-up & drop service. Rooms are clean but with poor view. Food is ok but expensive. One advantage - good car parking space.
Nice & comfortable stay with good pick n drop facility to mall road....but bit costly as per the location..
Peaceful cozy stay”
Though the property is old and therefore fits the image of yesteryears the rooms are equipped with modern luxury. The beds and the bathroom are lavish with wide windows over looking the hills. The hotel is mostly calm and quiet allowing some peace from everyday humdrum of a city. The staff is very courteous, warm and efficient. I would imagine the winter months would also be a delight in this property, with snow and bonfire. Do carry your guitar if you play one or any other string instrument. It is ideal to sit at any of the gorgeous nooks and corners to strum. I would visit this property again if I head that way. The meals are good quality and the dining area feels like home. A family with children may not have much to do but its a beautiful place for couples or loners.
