Good location as it is very close to Orchard road but be mindful of the steep climb on the way back. Didn't have much time to explore as i was on a business trip but for a business traveler it this hotel offered all comforts like clean room, comfortable bed, good air con, decent breakfast.
Classic of the 80s”
Walk in to this amazing establishment and you will step back away from the hustle and bustle of the busy singapore life. Located at the end of Mount E it is yet so accessible to the heart of Singapore via foot! Rooms are classic 80s feel and well maintained! The long baths in room is a bonus as well as the resort like garden pool! Enjoy your evenings with 50% house pours at the lobby cafe....while watching Kois! Staff were fast to execute check in and check out! Concierge are very prompt and polite!
Stay after surgery”
This property was very convenient for us as we had surgery at a nearby hospital and needed a place to recuperate. The staff was very friendly. We were treated very well and everyone went out of their way to help us. We will definitely stay here again!
It’s a 5 minute walk to mount Elizabeth hospital and 10minute walk to orchard street. Spacious room and spacious T&B.
The only bad thing about the place was that the sliding door at the bathroom was malfunctioned. It could not close the door at all and kept sliding open while letting air in while you are showering.
Not that near Orchard”
I only stayed one night. It’s a bit of a walk to Orchard, for a hotel that claims to be an Orchard hotel. They don’t provide a towel for the bathroom floor. They need to update their elevator to require key card access to room floors (for security).
Old and dated - needs upgrading.”
Disappointed in the stay. Bed was hard, fridge wasn’t cold, furniture was old, shower took 10 minutes of adjusting to get to a suitable temperature. and the light system in the room was very average/from the 70’s! The breakfast was great but other then that wouldn’t recommend.
A 10 to 15 minutes walk and you are at the center of Orchard. The hotel is not brand new but it is quite well maintain and has everything that a standard hotel should provide. There is a pool and the restaurant served great food. Some of the rooms have already refurbish while some is still in the old state which the room appears to be dark.
Very nice old hotel near Orchard.Rd ”
The location is really good, 10 mins walk to Orchard Rd. The hotel is quite old, bit well maintained. The room I was in, 9th floor, was really old though, but the bedding is excellently comfort. The staff at the restaurant wasn't so friendly though, I would say "annoying". He thought me and my husband just randomly sit at the restaurant, in fact we have already ordered our food.
value for money”
booked the superior room..value for money, however i requested to be upgrade to premier room as it was not to my liking..but if u want a comfortable room opt for the premier!if for value for money go for the superior!
Old Hotel with convenient location ”
Stayed for 2 night, first night given an old room with smelly carpet. Managed to changed to slightly less smelly room at midnight. Rooms are old and need urgent renovation. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Happy with this hotel - good location I walk to orchard and taxi from there - good facilities- excellent staff - room standard good - prices are at the top end but overall no complaints
Average & Over priced for services ”
Stayed for three nights in their old superior/deluxe rooms. Room and furniture were dated. Don’t have hand shower with condos. Swimming pool was also dated. Actually 10 min walking distance from lucky plaza metro.
Poor Most Service ”
Ashokan at the reception were rude when I came to check in. I do not get it why he asked me to be serve by his busy colleague & later a Malaysian traveller came & he welcomed him. What is that suppose to me because I'm a Singaporean? From a smiley greeting them., it totally shut me off & really left an impression. The rooms were okay & cosy until I realised the iron is not working so when I pick the phone to call the reception. Best. The phone also isn't working... So I needed to go down myself to ask for a replace of iron. 2 china lady worker came later, try to on the iron box & gave me the face like I just disturb them cause the iron box has light to them it's working so why do I have to replace. I say okay wait 1 or 5 minutes than... It never gets any hot at all. Like literally at all... Cause I waited 10 mins. Spoile is spoile why argue... Are they not taught customers right?.... She was u happy & just change it & left the room speaking in their own language like obviously they are also not happy with me. So phone was not fixed. Just for your info...... Normal hotels has light switch on the wall normally whn you enter like next to the toilet? But okay I'm fine that this hotel has it on the shelf next to the bed.. Mayb somehow it's convenient that you switch it off when you are going to sleep without having to stand & walk to the door way. But next to the toilet door there is a switch to indicate outside the room "to clean" & "do not disturb" soo by chance perhaps that night my husband or me accidentally mistook it as the toilet light I believe & pressed on the "to clean" ... In the morning at 10.30 we both were awake just in bed & still naked to be honest. We have a china cleaner with no respect to just walk into the room open the door. Yes we should have locked but still it's a courtesy to knock. Where is the manners here? Not taught? This really taken us by surprise. Sorry is not enough & just walk out & blabbering why we pressed this switch.
Reception was not that helpful when i wanted to adjust my booking. Not very accommodating”
When i checked out, i requested to check my total billing and the reception said to just check with my online agent (Agoda). Seriously???!!! You have the system in front of you and u can't even check??? Anyway, on the contrary, the concierge guys were extremely friendly and accommodating. Doing the extra mile to satisfy us whether its answering a query or requesting for transportation.
Hotel on Mt Elizabeth”
Hotel is behind Mt Elizabeth Hospital and on the hill slope, it’s about 10 mins walk to MRT. Room is very old and many plugs in rooms is not working. Hotel need to be renovated. When we check in there was no bath towels or face towels in room and it takes more than an hour after calling reception few times that the towels was delivered to our room. Bed is ok, but pillows is not comfortable and only 2 pillows in the room. They should have provide at least 4 given this is a 4 stars hotel.
Great place to stay when in SG”
This is the place to be when you want to be near shopping centers, with a hospital from a distance just in case of emergencies. For people who love to walk quite some distance, where it's clean and quiet, this is the place to be. Room is very clean and hotel overall is well maintained. Highly recommended!
Probably had it’s glory moment -now gone”
Old furniture, window not closing completely, wireless working only afters calls and reset, safe box out of battery. Had to wait 40 min for room to be ready to check in, although arrival time was precommunicated. It’s a no-no for me, far from the usual Singaporean quality.
3 nights at The Elizabeth Hotel”
Great central location, easy walk to Orchard Road, spacious quiet room, very helpful, friendly staff and nothing is too much trouble. This hotel was opened in 1993 and has an air of old fashioned service which is nice. Not ultra-modern like some but comfortable and affordable price. Recommend.
Comfy and at the heart of Singapore”
Had a lovely time staying at this accommodation. The staffs are very helpful with our requests, the room was very satisfying and it's located close to major shopping centers around Orchard! Recommend this Hotel to those who wants a quality accommodation with affordable prices.
