The Eton Hotel Pudong's central location in the financial district of Lujiazui in Pudong makes it a suitable accommodation choice for business travelers. All rooms are elegantly designed, providing panoramic views of the bustling city and basic facilities for guests to enjoy. It is within close proximity to two airports. Pudong International Airport is a 40-minute drive away while the Hongqiao International Airport is a 30-minute drive away. It’s an easy 10-minute drive away from the Shanghai New International Expo Center, and Metro Line No. 4 is conveniently situated opposite the hotel for guests to efficiently travel elsewhere. As for dining, on-site restaurants offer appetizing international cuisine, and the E-Bar is a hot spot not to be missed. A hotel fitted with all your business and leisure needs is what is to be found at The Eton Hotel Pudong.

convenient hotel with 360 degrees pudong views ”
the hotel is located one or two stops from the main metro station at pudong. therefore we could get out at night to dinners without having to catch taxis which were hard to get during the months of shanghai expo. the front desk service was fast. the bedroom is the best part. it is indeed modern with all the amenities comparable with other big five star hotels, the decor is quite tasteful and minimal style. the bathroom seems larger than others we have stayed with lcd tv and big bath tub against the big window. we were lucky to get a room facing the main part of pudong and huang pu river so we could see the city views at night of shanghai wtc and jin mao buildings. we did not try the hotel dinner facilities but we did have breakfasta which seemed to be the usual abundants of buffet food. we had preferred a la carte menu ordering egg breakfasts and coffees, they were acceptable portions and good not over dried as they seemed to be prepared on orders and the coffees were also good. service was generally acceptable, we asked for the room to be cleaned while we had breakfast and it was cleaned as requested. this hotel seems to be brand new so on saturday night we were staying, there was local wedding which was acceptable. but our room was on the next floor up from the bridegrooms suite, there was a void connecting the two floors. therefore it was quite noisy during the traditional chinese wedding party in which all the friends of bride and bridegroom would tromp and party in the wedding suite. it was a large spacious hotel, the business centre was convenient on the floor with function rooms. over all it was a very good stay.
Beautiful Hotel but location not so great”
from first to last impressions of our stay at eton hotel are positive. reception staff friendly and i was offered a free room upgrade, which i was very grateful of. i booked this hotel as we are looking to relocate to shanghai and there was not concern about surroundings as we would be busy checking apartments in pudong area. however typhoon haikui struck and we were stuck in the hotel for an entire day. therefore we ate all meals and were impressed with the standard. do wish that breakfast was included into the package - a very expensive breakfast for some cereal, toast and fruit. the other concern is free wi - fi is available in the first 3 floors of the hotel, but seating in the foyer in very limited so a little frustrating if you want to check emails and there is no seating. otherwise we recommend this hotel if you plan to be busy sightseeing. there is a subway directly out the front of the hotel, so easy to get around shanghai. taxi's are also readily available.
Fabulous Hotel”
There are more western owned 5 star hotels in Shanghai than I count. Hyatt (owned by Starwood) has at least 4 that I know of. There are also several other Starwood hotels in Shanghai. I have stayed in a couple of them. The Eton compares favorably with any one of them. It is just as well kept, just as luxurious, and just as comfortable as anyone could ask of a top 5-star hotel. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have slept on since I moved to China, and the bathroom was amazing! This was the biggest bathroom I have ever had in a hotel anywhere. The bath tub was an enormous 4 feet square (I think that is about 1.3 meters)and the rain shower was also huge. The hotel is in the business area of Pudong, but it is very close to a couple major tourist attractions for those wanting to sight see. The Oriental Pearl Tower and Super Brand Mall are about a 10 minute walk or a three minute taxi ride from the hotel, and there is also a metro station across the street from the hotel so almost anywhere in the city is just a ride away. Taxis in Shanghai are also plentiful and cheap by international standards and they can take you anywhere you will need to go for probably $6 or $7 at most. This is a great hotel and easy to find for a great price.
5 star treatment”
Stayed at the executive room at top highest 40th floor for 7 nights. The pricing is reasonable as we booked well in advance through Agoda. The room is facing directly the financial district with astonishing day and night views of both the key buildings (Shanghai Tower, Shanghai Financial Tower, etc) and the Huangpu Jiang. Breakfast at the 38th floor executive lounge makes you feel at home with the friendly and attentive staffs. The staffs at the reception, concierge and the Chinese Yuting restaurant on the 5th floor where we patronised were all helpful and courteous. Location is also very convinent with the Pudong Avenue MRT just across the street. There are also several restaurants along Changyi Road just across the street where you can enjoy local food at reasonable pricing. Overall a very pleasant stay at Eaton Pudong and will definitely be our top choice hotel for the next visit to Shanghai. One area for improvement is the dated TV set which badly requires an update.
Very nice hotel”
Eton Hotel is around a year and a half old, and it shows - everything seems new and very stylish. I had a slight problem at check-in when the front desk had no record of me having paid for the room (via agoda) but they sorted it out after checking me in. I had a superior room (hotel speak for their cheapest room) and it was great - the tap water in the bathroom was drinkable, very impressive in China. Lots of nice touches, comfortable bed, view over the river, TV in the bathroom as well, great shower. Breakfast was very good, large selection of Western and Asian foods. The bar war was fairly reasonable for drinks (40-45 yuan for spirits) and looked good. There's a heated indoor pool and jacuzzi, and sauna and steam rooms. I didn't use the spa, but it looked very plush. The area around the hotel is still being developed so expect to have views of construction sites, however, the location is pretty convenient - taxi cost about 20 yuan to the Bund (via the tunnel) and 130 yuan to Pudong airport (and about 60 yuan to Hongqiao airport).
Comfortable Eton@Pudong”
I stayed at Eton, Pudong for 4 nights arriving on Dec.15 and departing on Dec.19. The reception was professional. The room was cleanly and tidily equipped with all necessities. The stay was very comfortable and relaxing. I wish there would have been more time to swim in the heated pool and exercise in the fitness cente. The cusines in various restaurants look quite good but there was no time to visit. I definitely choose Eton@Pudong when going to Shanghai next time.
Great base for first-time visitors”
The hotel serves as an ideal base for those who wish to enjoy the comforts of a 5-star hotel without breaking your bank. During my visit, the main road in front of the hotel was being reconstructed, which is probably why the hotel was on sale and the neighborhood was not very crowded. Located just across exit 1 of Pudong Avenue Station, the hotel is an ideal gateway for those who want to explore the more crowded tourist centers of Shanghai City or for those who want to drop by the trade fairs at the Shanghai New International Exhibition Center.
Excellent hotel and top service throughout.”
the eton is a wonderful hotel in the heart of pudong. the facilities are first class and all the staff a very friendly and helpful. most of the staff speak good english which is a plus when you can not speak chinese or are just learning to speak it. staff are also knowledgeable about shanghai and always willing to help. i would certainly reccommend the eton. i have stayed there 3 times myself and will certainly be back whenever i am in shanghai.
Eton- 3rd time round”
For this stay, i was more selective, after staying at Novotel just 1km to the south. Comparing to Novotel, service of Eton (although price is higher) is much better and overall hotel experience is more. I enjoyed the lobby lounge this time round, recommend the Irish coffe to all Eton goers!!! Still one of the best Pudong area hotels for Business travellers who can pay the higher cost. Eton has good service and 5 star quality.
beautiful hotel”
fantastic bathroom with separate shower, separate toilet, huge bath tab..very clean..room is beautiful..we were in 3005,30 floor..view is breath taking..bed is very comfort..hotel is very elegant, you can try shark soup for lunch, hary crabs..buffet diner was 18 eur..stuff was very polite, useful, room service was excellent, fast.I love ETON PUDONG HOTEL..you must have everything write on chinese if you use the taxi..this was the best stay in whole China
Eton Pudong ”
This ia my second time at Eton Hotel, and im glad they didnt lower the standard, breakfast is still a good feature, service is nice and english speaking. The rooms are 5 stars and have all necessary needs and good services all round at the hotel, from the freindly bar and resturants to the service personnel who are nice and warm. I reccomend the hotel for Business if you are in Pudong area, and trust it is a decent residence when one is in Shanghai.
Great hotel in a strange location”
This new hotel, located just outside of the main Pudong area, skirts a residential neighborhood on two sides, a subway stop on one side, and a series of erotic massage bars on a third side... It was a great value for the money for Shanghai, and is very close to the subway (literally across the street), but was lacking the amenities of being in the actual financial center. A great crib was provided, and our request of looking out onto Pudong from a high floor room was granted. I didn't appreciate the attempted "up-sell" to an executive floor (38) when checking in, since we had already been placed on the 37th floor (obvious because the crib was already in the room). Overall, a great stay!

Convenient and good service”
another good stay with consistent service and facilities. the eton is good for the frequent shanghai visitor who wants to be near lujiazui, the subway, and pudong area.
Highly recommend this hotel”
I highly recommend the Eton Hotel. The rooms are very modern and nicely appointed. The Eton Hotel is literally around the corner from a Subway stop so getting around Shanghai is a breeze. The staff were great. One of the people in our group forgot her earrings in the room after we checked out. The staff were a great help in locating them and getting it back to us. Regardless of which room you get you'll definitely get a view of the city or the river.
Perfect stay in Pudong”
We stayed in an executive room worth the extra price: free breakfast, free Internet access, free access to club lounge with free food and drinks, high floor. The room is very comfortable and the swimming-pool much larger than usual (25 meters long). The view towards Pudong's buildings is really impressive, specially at night. Nothing to do or see around the hotel, but the metro is right in front of the hotel and Shanghai metro system is very efficient and easy to use, although sometimes crowded. Otherwise, taxis are very cheap for those who prefer. I would certainly go back to the Eton if doing business in Pudong as we were.
The Eton Pudding near the Bund”
The Eton Hotel at Pudong was relatively conveniently located in the Pudong area. It is just across the river and quite convenient to go to the Bund by train. The Hotel was relatively new and is clean. The service was fine and it is good for business travelers. It is also relatively easy to go to the Exhibition Hall from the Eton Pudong Hotel. We booked a number of rooms here and all of us had a pleasant stay. For the price, this is quite a good hotel to stay at.
Comfortable and lovely hotel”
eton hotel is conveniently located in pudong next to a metro station. the room is comfortable and clean. staff are friendly and helpful with good service. the hotel has many facilities including spa and business centre. there is a common area with comfortable sofas.

Very nice hotel and friendly staff”
eton hotel was very nice. room was very comfortable and well appointed. breakfast buffett was extensive but food was not the best (cold and a litle lacking in flavor). good location for getting around pudong and easy to access most of shanghai by train or taxi. wish they had an atm on site along with a conveniece store to purchase a few items (had to go to bank next door where atm machines did not seem to offer a english menu).
