Convenient stay at Evitel!”
We stayed here for two nights and we were pretty much satisfied with everything. The room (327) was clean, designed nicely, had a nice little balcony. Air con worked perfectly (which is important for me), and the bathroom was good with good amount of hot water. Internet some times worked great but other time, not really. Location was very good, very central and close to laundry providers, convenient stores, cafes, restaurants and the Sacred Monkey Forest! You can actually walk to Ubud market if you want to from this hotel. We had a morning jog to Campuhan Ridge Walk (it's not far from Evitel, only about 3-4 km) too and it was a great jog, watching beautiful sunrise from the forest. Hospitality was great too here, and everybody was kind and attentive to our needs. Oh, the only downside was that the room had very thin walls and it definitely wasn't sound-proof. Plus, we had a very noisy neighbors (especially the 329 room, there were definitely more than 2 people there and they shouted, laughed and watched Indonesian drama with an amazingly loud volume. I'm talking about intolerance here!). But so far, we had pleasant stay and will definitely be back again when coming to Ubud.
Friendly hotel to use as a base ”
We arrived at the Evitel after a 9 night stay in Sanur and were greeted warmly by staff. We had paid in advance for two rooms, one for myself and husband and one for my daughter and partner. I had asked for rooms next door to each other but they gave us rooms with another room in between us. What was odd is that my daughter room was adjoined to a strangers and not ours. Couldn’t understand why they wouldn’t just put us in that room but hey, it was only for 3 nights. The rooms were tiny but nice and clean with balconies overlooking paddy fields. However, the balcony was tiny with only one chair so we couldn’t relax on it together with was disappointing. The pool on the room had great views but only a handful of loungers and the water looked grubby. The hotel itself is in a great location and the WiFi was excellent . I can’t comment on food or drink as we never had any but judging by the adverts in the hotel, the prices seemed reasonable. If I went back to Ubud, I would stay again.
Great value and hospitality”
This is my second time with Evitel at Ubud and always satisfied. The value for money is excellent with good location. You can go to anywhere by walking distance to many good restaurants and shopping places even supermarket. Ubud is a good location to travel around Bali. The staff are great and listen to the feedback. I will go to hike in Bali again and will use Evitel once again.
Delightful stay - will stay here again when in Ubud”
Had a very pleasant 5 night stay in this hotel. It is very central - just off the street which is a 5 minute walk to the Monkey Forest. It is about a 15 minute walk to the Ubud Art market and Palace. We got an Uber from our hotel in Kuta to the Evitel which cost us 131,000RP (around €9). The rooftop pool is amazing and a great sun trap. We spent many days chilling by the pool where they serve nice food and on certain days, fresh coconuts for 25,000 (€1.50). The room was spacious and the bathroom clean. Our bed was made and towels changed every day. We often left our personal items (iPads etc) out charging and they were perfectly safe. We only ate breakfast once - it was buffet style and decent. Ubud is such a foodie hub we opted not to include breakfast. Would highly recommend Watercress and Kafe as breakfast/brunch options! Also, Melting Wok and Fair Warong Bale were 2 of the tastiest meals we had on the trip - but be sure to call them in advance to book! Wonderful stay overall.
Very nice staff, good location, good hotel with values”
I went to Bali for our anniversary, Evitel prepared a romantic room decoration for us. All the staff is very friendly. The location also close to Bebek Bengil & others yummy resto. Mini market just cross a street. Great hotel with value of money. Definitely will stay here again when we back in Ubud. Thanks Evitel.
Exceptional”
We had a terrible first night because of a very noisy and disruptive next door family- walls were thin which did not help and even after we made calls to inform them to lower their voices, they were unheeded. We called the front desk the next morning and they very swiftly arranged for a change of room without any question. This definitely turned what could have been a terrible experience at The Evitel into something unforgettable. Our holiday was saved thanks to the great staff. In addition, the location was fantastic as it was in the center of good restaurants, a short walk to the markets, close to a grocery store and a stone's throw away from the Monkey Forest. In short, great and value for money hotel. Will book again when we are at Ubud.
Very nice stay at evitel resort”
Spent a lovely 4D3N stay at the Evitel Resort in Ubud. Pros 1. New resort with clean and spacious rooms - great AC and cable TV included & bed/pillows were very comfortable! 2. Rooftop pool was a great place to relax and hangout - there were beanbags by the pool 3. Great location - south Ubud, 10 mins walk to the Monkey forest and a lot of good restaurants nearby. Cons 1. Check-in was not flexible - 2pm is the earliest
Great location”
If you are a first time traveler to Ubud/Bali, definitely give the Evitel a thought. The location is perfect and you have the comfort of a hotel if you aren't quite ready for a local home or unsecure resort.
Loved it!”
Evitel was the perfect landing pad for exploring Ubud. After a super long travel journey, it was a delight to arrive at such a clean, beautiful, inspiring hotel with good vibes. I especially loved the rooftop pool and restaurant. I enjoyed many coffees up there in harmony with glorious sunrises, and many soothing swims surrounded by epic views of Ubud. I highly recommend this place. Thank you! :)
Beautiful new hotel!”
The hotel had only been open about two months so it was beautifully clean and new. The room was perfect - everything worked and was clean and it had a nice rice field view. The room may have been small for two people with big suitcases, though it was fine for me. The best part is the rooftop pool which overlooks all of Ubud and surrounds. Great place to watch the sunset! Hotel is close to the Monkey Forest (5 mins walk), Yoga Barn and Perama bus stop, but fairly far from the restaurants and bars that are open later, but you can still walk home in the dark without too many dramas. My major issue with the hotel was just that it felt like a business hotel and I could have been in any city in the world. Usually when I stay in Ubud I want to feel like I'm in Bali - surrounded by bungalows and beautiful gardens. This hotel definitely doesn't have a Bali feel to it!
Best rooftop pool in town”
This place far exceeded our expectations. I was traveling with a buddy and we did a two night stay in Ubud and were so glad we picked the Evitel. Watching the sunset/sunrise from the rooftop pool was the best. It was the tallest point in the downtown Ubud area so it let us get a good lay of the land as well. The place was clean, easy to find and so centrally located that we found everything around us with ease. Will definitely be coming back here in the future.
Classy and value for money”
The room we had was sleek and clean with a balcony. However, it is not very well soundproofed as we can hear the guy next room coughing all night. The staff were very helpful and welcoming too so two thumbs up for all of them 😊 The location is near Monkey Forest and short distance from the Ubud centre; not very ideal to walk from Evitel to Ubud Market if you don't like walking a lot.
Comfortable and convenient place to unwind after a day out”
I really enjoyed my stay at the Evitel. It's great value. Its rooms are like 4 stars with a 3 star price. The view of the sunset from the rooftop is amazing on a clear day. Location also great to go to Yoga barn, monkey forest, ubud shops and other attractions. Make sure to ask for the rice terrace view rooms when you are there.
Exceptional”
The hotel is close to a tourist attraction (Monkey forest), and it is only about 500 m from Coco Supermarket, which is brilliant. The room is a bit small, but new and comfortable enough. The view we got wasn't as impressive as the picture on the website, the rice was only recently gathered; but on the whole we had a cool, relaxing time at Evitel Ubud.
Fantastic place!”
The Evitel really is a great value in the perfect location. The hotel is steps away from lots of restaurants, shops, and spas. It's a short 3 minute walk to the Monkey Forest, and all the main attractions of Ubud are easy to get to as well. The rooms are clean and spacious, many with a nice view of the rice fields. It was so nice we stayed an extra night!
Great Hotel in a central Ubud location ”
I really enjoyed the stay at the Evitel Resort in Ubud. The location was great, staff are very friendly and helpful and the sunsets on the roof top pool overlooking the rice paddies were fantastic
Three days in Ubud”
The Evitel makes a great base in Ubud, around 5 minutes walk from the monkey forest and 15-20 minutes walk to the main strip. Rooms are clean, well equipped and spacious and were made up every day. Our room had a nice patio area. The breakfast was good (not excellent). There is a nice rooftop swimming pool with an awesome view. On the downside the rooms aren't particularly well sound proofed. But it wasn't noisy after 11pm so this wasn't a problem for us.
3rd time staying here - good hotel in a good location, but had a few issues this time.”
Evitel is very central and the rooftop pool is amazing and the beds and pillows are super comfortable and the cable TV has all the good English Channels... Movies, Nat Geo, History channel. A couple of things that need improvement are the price of small Bintangs at the rooftop pool - 60k each which is just crazy. The toilets on the roof were also dirty most of the time and the men's toilet in the lobby was out of paper for 2 whole days. Good hotel but they need some work on attention to detail.
Great hospitality and ambience”
The staff are very helpful and friendly. Upon arrival, the front desk staff greeted us with a big smile on her face, spoke to us in a very polite and welcoming manner. Room is clean, toilet too. Our room oversees the rice field so it’s really gorgeous in the morning. The breakfast is awesome at only IDR 75.000 /pax. Love the sky pool as well. The pool water is really clean and be prepared to get the most amazing sunset view from here. I would definitely go back to this resort if I return to Ubud so if you are staying in Ubud, book this resort. You will not be disappointed.
Convenient for a short stay”
We were arriving at 1am from the airport & wanted somewhere easy to find in the dark, 24 check in & convenient to walk around Ubud/places to eat etc. We initially booked 2 nights but stayed an extra 2 nights because we found Evitel comfortable & quiet. It's close to monkey forest & yoga barn. There's a supermarket close by & kettle, instant coffee & mini fridge in all rooms so you can buy milk, drinks, ice, pot noodles etc & relax on your private balcony if you are jetlagged at 2am (like we were!) Rooftop pool area is great and has wonderful views over the city. As many others have said, rooms on 3rd floor (with even numbers) face the rice paddy so are quieter & have good views. Heard some noise from the corridor but the hotel was pretty empty & we didn't have neighbours so we found it peaceful. Breakfast is not great so consider booking a room without it.
