Beautiful bungalow close enough to the beach ”
I had a lovely stay at the Fint Hus. The resort is well maintained and you can see that a min effort is made to make it inviting and charming. When I arrived, they checked me in and gave me my room right away (at other places I had to wait until the official check in time even though room was available). The room was very spacious and lovely decorated. The bathroom was very clean and with windows for some daylight. The mattress was a bit too soft for me. Biggest plus that it was completely quiet at night!! Most quiet night I had during my entire trip on the island. The terrace in front of the bungalow was big enough to comfortably sit. I did not spend too much time at the pool, but when I did I had it for myself. It’s not regularly cleaned - both times there where quite a few leaves in there. It’s a bit too small to actually swim in there, but great to refresh. The walk to Tengah beach is about 5-10 minutes, easily doable. I can highly recommend this place!

I enjoyed my stay at The Courtyard. The location was superb. A short walk to eateries, shops on the main strip at Pantai Cenang and to the Pantai Tengah beach. I personally preferred the quieter surroundings of Pantai Tengah than to the main strip. I loved the tiny details of The Courtyard - the clothes line outside the room, complete with hangers and clothes pegs to dry you beach towels and swimsuits, an umbrella in case it rains, travel size toiletries (which isn't common for lodging this price), the hot and cold water dispenser, Mr Ridz who's always there with a smile, etc...

Great Hotel, but overpriced”
Very few negatives to say for this place except that they have priced themselves in too high rate for the standard of hotel. Why? For $61 USD per night should include a tv and swimming pool and breakfast. None can be found here. Also the internet was frequently down or very slow. Positives: Lovely garden with flowers. Although the privacy walls around the front door of each room restrict the breeze and are a bit claustrophic. Room and bathroom are a good size. Standard furniture but thoughtfully designed. A flip down table on wall. Closet. Frigo with 2 bottles of water which you can refill from water dispenser in office. Phillips water kettle with good quality instant coffee and tea replenished daily. House-keeping service until 12:30, if you put up sign requesting it. Towels were changed each day. Everything clean and neat. Toiletries provided: toothbrush/paste, shampoo and body wash. You can ask for plates, glasses, cutlery, etc from office. There is also a toaster oven (didn't use) and a hairdryer provided. The room has a safe too (but portable, as not attached to anything). Plenty of electrical plugs throughout room. Quiet panasonic a/c unit and overhead fan too. Bed is very comfortable, high quality feel. The loudest noise is on the walk along the dirt road to get back to hotel in the evening. There is a symphony of frogs serenading. Otherwise, very quiet unless you have an Indian family of 5 next door... which was only one night, thankfully. Don't know how they fit! Jem, the manager is friendly and helpful. We booked two rooms and stayed 4 nights. Used another website for second booking that was considerably cheaper, but only had one room available. Hotel also seems to have a double story building at the end with studios for more money.

Lovely place”
Got here late at night because of a flight delay, place was a little hard to find the first time. Waze directions need updating. But there's a beautiful view at night. Parking is a little hard at the moment due to construction. The pool is under construction as well, so the garden is non-existent at the moment. I expect it to be quite lovely once the pool and garden are finished. Bed is very comfortable. The mini-fridge makes a random mechanical noise (converter or something?) now and then, but we were generally too tired to care. Water pressure was adequate but lower than I'm used to. Toiletries (toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, and shower gel) were provided. There was free coffee / tea and water (Coway dispenser) available, as well as a toaster oven and kettle. Safe wasn't attached to anything, so a little unsafe to store valuables. The entrance was just a glass sliding door A good homestay, not really a hotel type. Manager was friendly as well. A bit far from Pantai Cenang, rent a car or bike if you don't like walking in the heat.

The women who work here are really great, they make every effort to help you out with everything. Pros: Comfy bed, nice pool. Great wifi. Langkawi is a really friendly place. Good restaurants nearby - the Pizza Maker & the Fat Cupid both great for dinner. I loved having the toaster, we bought bagels and had them toasted with coffee. Cons: You had to choose between water pressure or hot water in the shower. The coffee maker was super difficult, I finally gave up and drank powdered. I would stay here again, and if I didn't I'd stop in to say hello. Lovely people.

Best home stay experience ever.”
We stayed at The Courtyard for 3 nights at a very reasonable price, considering that it is a pretty new establishment. Staff are very helpful and friendly. It has only 6 units and rooms are clean and bright. It has wifi but many times you don't get any Internet connection. Probably some issues with TMnet. Other down sides are limited parking lots and room has no TV (which was not a problem as who watch TV this era?). It is located about 10mins walk from the road side. And it is close to where food and actions are. We were spoilt for choice. Bottom line, we enjoyed our stay at The Courtyard very much. Terima kasih, makcik!

Great hotel. A bit of a walk to Pantai Cenang (around 10 mins to the southern end) but if you don't mind that, then it's worth saving the money on getting this nicer hotel for less than you would spend if you stayed on Pantai Cenang.

Cozy place close to beach and quiet area”
The owners were really responsive towards email and messages. We were given the new room on top which is facing the other kampung houses opposite. Besides the noise of the cars/motorbike that pass by only once a while, the area is pretty quiet and we really had a good sleep. King size bed was really comfortable, just that the pillows were a bit too high to our liking. Would be great if they could put a toaster or mini microwave in the room. The place is relatively near to the beach which is walking distance and just a short drive to the Chenang beach shopping and eating areas. Overall, we are really satisfied with our stay here.

Great, quiet accommodation ”
The hotel itself is situated in a quiet nice environment, the hotel was clean, comfy, but there's no television in the room. We really love the place. On the other hand, Breakfast wise, in Agoda the package included breakfast, but when we ask the staff about it, they said there's no breakfast provided in the hotel.

Check in and check out is very fast. The staffs very courteous and friendly. Rooms is quite clean BUT NO TV provided inside the rooms. :-) Hot water and water pressure is quite good, only worried about the heating wiring. Book Island Hopping at the Front Desk and the tour is amazing!

2-day stay in Langkawi”
We stayed 2 nights at The Courtyardand had a great experience. The rooms are very nice and well kept, the bed is nothing but amazing!! We got free drinking water in the reception and there is an excellent indian cuisine a 5 minute walk away from the hotel. Highly recommended!!

Clean and New Room”
The staff allowed us to check-in early at 12pm++ and check-out at 1pm as we have a toddler who need to sleep by the time we want to check-in and check-out. The room is clean and tidy and it is still new, so everything still under good condition. The only bad thing for the room is the door. It is a glass door covered with curtain and with a simple door lock which made us uncomfortable in the room like no privacy.Apart from that, nothing to complain. Value for money and affordable stay.

Indeed it's a nice house. Everything was excellent and the staffs were very friendly and helpful. I like the Scandinavian style of bedroom. Definitely worth every penny.
