    Nice place”

Very modern and clean. Reminiscent of a hostel from Thailand or Vietnam, which is rare in the Philippines. Very big, and comfy beds. A very "hotel" vibe less than a hostel. I stayed three nights. A bit far from downtown but just a 2 km and ten peso ride down the road. Only issue is a bit of a sewage smell in the mornings. Not sure why. It seemed to be everywhere. Maybe that's just how Dumaguete smells in the mornings.

    Homestay”

Our stay was short but great, since we just had a day of stay in Dumaguete City coming from Cebu. We liked the whole place, and the interior industrial feel. They provided us blanket but forgot to give us bath towels. We will definitely go back here someday again.

    EXCELLENT CHOICE FOR MYSELF”

I left the hostel with a heavy heart. I really love the place! From the interiors and access to everything you need, most especially to the staff! Their welcoming and genuinely friendly staff! To the point that we became "magkaka-tropa" in the hostel along with the other dormers.

Hostel design special Staff good ”

This is a hostel with very modern architecture, that is fairly appeling. Clean, pleasant. The staff are very young and good, and they all have the Filippino smile. Well done. The only negative critisism that I have is : you must get some brighter lights in the rooms, the bulbs are very fashionable, but you can't see to pack your suitcase. We made a mistake, and went somewhere else to eat, I regret that we didnt stay put as what we saw being served when we came back looked very good, for another time. Brestfast menu VERY good and original. Except for the light bulbs, I like this place. Oh! and if you have time (4 ou 5 hours) take the waterfall excursion, very good with the hostel's tricylcle driver. With swimming gear you have lots of fun.

My Go-To Place to Stay in Dumaguete”

I've stayed in two of their dormitories and they were totally worth it--big, comfortable beds in big, spacious rooms. Loved having their own tricycle as an option for airport pick-ups and drop-offs. I do hope they work on three things: fixing their wifi connectivity at the lobby, the water pressure of the showers, and the presence of mosquitos in the common areas. So far though, still pretty satisfied and this has become my go-to place to stay in Dumaguete when I visit several times a year.

    Great Place to Chill”

Stayed for overnight since we are just passing through for our Siquijor trip. Location is okay. Just a Tricycle away to the Dumaguete Port. There’s a restau within the establishment, great if you have no time to go out and dine. We stayed on Friday so there is a live acoustic in their common area, which btw plays so great, and don’t fret since they’ll be done playing by 10pm just enough for us to get a good night sleep. We also have time to grab some drinks. Wifi’s so-so. Room’s clean but would love to have a better pillow. Their receptionist is not so interactive but can answer to needs. Overall, would recommend.😊

    Super value for money”

Overall had a very good experience and I’ll definitely consider staying there again in the future. For tours, I recommend that they provide options for aircon and non-aircon land transpo, esp with this el nino weather. Or advise the guest if land transpo is non-air conditioned. We received a full refund very quickly and got to schedule another tour so there was hardly any inconvenience. Thanks!!

One of the best hostels in PH”

Beautifully-designed hostel, clean, and the staff easily responds to your needs. Cheap beer, too! :) However, some tricycle drivers from downtown consider this “far.” Either they would offer a special trip, or easily say no to Hibbard Avenue. It is easier to get a regular trip from the hostel’s location to your destination though. Lastly, each pod is spacious. The management might wanna consider adding some privacy curtains. :) One of my favorite hostels so far, and will definitely go back. Keep it up, guys!

Cons; woke up to a mouse(!) running in both my hair and my bed. If your not among the first ones to breakfast you won't get any breakfast due to that they don't have enough breakfast for everyone. The sandbar day tour is a rip off. Don't do it. Not through the hostel. Not worth the money. Not orginazed at all. Overall a really nice, clean and friendly place with great showers and WiFi. Close to the Airport. The atmosphere is amazing. The beds are so comfy. I would come back even though a had a mouse in my bed.

Check the number of persons and the price”

this place is great, but I gave 1 star for the value for money to warn others of one problem they have. if you will book for 2 persons in this hotel using agoda or other online booking sites, they will show you a price for only 1 person, even if you chose 2 persons, so you will assume that what you have paid was already good for 2 beds, only to know when you get there at the hotel that you have only paid for 1 bed. something's wrong, it shouldnt be like that, for me, paying extra is not an issue, but what about other budget travellers. they need to fix this issue, I am not blaming the hotel, but they too, should do something about this because they are also aware of this problem, many of their guests experience this . but overall, the place and staff was nice, the rooms are also spacious and cozy

Overall good place but there are things to improve”

Things to improve A) install curtains for better sleep and privacy at night in each banker . Take look at sleepy sam in Singapore as example and many more install curtains. B) luguages cabinets best if you have been planed vertical anc not horizontal under the lower bunker as luguages are very difficult to accessi and floor is really dirty and dusty (all my bags were very dirty afterwards ). 1st ever such luguage compartment i found was installed under the bed. Learn from best practices from other do in similar industry ;hostel business ). C) 1 & only hot shower for hostel with almost 30 beds . Install another hot shower in lower floor so bunkers -hostel clients do not have to take spiral stair to get to shower D) Only 1 big toilette paper roll put outside and shared among 3 Hostel bathroom . Install a separate one in each bathroom . One cannot go to the bathroom to do their needs while not having taking enough toilette sheet . Best to increase 50php per bunker bed

    Above average”

The only reason why I am giving it 2 stars for the staff is because when I arrived, I was welcomed by the security staff unprofessionally. I am fully aware that the check in time is still at 2 in the afternoon and that I arrived too early (around 6 am). But rather than making me feel unwelcome, he could have at least provided me options on what I should do in the mean time while still waiting for the receptionist to arrive.

Great place to explore Dumaguete from ”

Pros: - The vibe and decor of the hostel was superb. - The room was comfortable and the AC worked great. - The common area was set up well - 50P Red Horse - Free hot & cold water available Minor con: - The girl with glasses working the desk during the day could have been more accommodating and hospitable. We extended our stay but had to switch rooms. We checked out at 11am and asked if it would be possible to check into our new room early. The girl with glasses replied by stating that check in time was at 2pm. Even though house keeping was clearly finished cleaning the room because we saw the entire hostel staff lounging around eating lunch, we had to ask to be checked in at 2pm. Not a huge deal but a little irksome considering we had extended our stay

Just to let you know that normally rooms will be ready before 2 PM but not as early as 12 noon as we still need to double check the room. We hope to see you soon :)

Great place if you want to meet new people who also happens to be traveling solo. Good music is being played at the common area and the place has nice aesthetics, Instagrammable as millennials would say. There is no wi-fi in the rooms and it is only working at the common area. It's okay since you are there to commune and not merely glue your eyes on the screen of your phone. To all the guests: Do not forget to get your P1,000 security deposit before leaving the hostel to avoid inconvenience for both parties. Especially if you have an early morning flight, there will be no one to accommodate you at the reception area. You have to contact them and have the amount deposited on your account.

We really loved our stay. The area is not as big as the pictures but totally picturesque. Even though it's in the heart of the city, we didn't feel like it because it brings out a totally different vibe. The owner and staff is very accommodating and nice, we were suppose to stay for just 1 night but we extended our stay because there are still more sights to see and the place is just cozy, friendly and homey. We're definitely recommending this place and we're definitely coming back.
