Beautiful cottage hotel, quite”
The place in general is beautifully located. The cottage was in a cliff, serene, quite and being in the forest is such a tranquil experience. The water heater did not work initially though. The downside are thise very noisy and unrespectful chinese tourists!!! Somebody need to remind those people that other guests are resting!

Feel At Home with Spectacular Nature & View”
Think of what makes you feel "At Home" - Laid Back, Comfort, Given Attention, And Being Let Alone.... The Fort is all of that and more. If the beautiful brick architecture embedded with dark brown carved wood is the crown then the staffs really are the jewel of this crown. The garden and terrace are impressive and clean with 100s of flowering pots ! Let it be breakfast, dinner or anything in between time, unlike many western countries the service is not based on rules or fixed times but the comfort, need and wish of the guest. The facility- This lovely red brick architecture embeds intricately carved dark wood windows, balcony and decorations. The facility not only offers lovely outlook and spectacular view of Himalayas on a lucky clear day but also offers a cozy Terrace. Aaah the restaurant - How could I forget one of the best Nepali Thalis. Over all... The Fort has been and will be our choice while in Nagarkot. Not second thoughts ! Highly recommended.

Very disappointing- much cheaper and better alternatives ”
Don't stay in the cottages - in January they were freezing cold (air con unit can only do so much) and the shower was broken/didn't work properly. Water was either scolding hot or freezing cold. The property itself is beautiful but I do not understand why it costs so much with very basic rooms/facilities. There are plenty of other hotels, many still being constructing, that would be cheaper and likely more comfortable.

Fort Resort a Great Escape”
The resort first of all was a great view. The 1.5 hour travel there is worth it. the hotel was spacious and housekeeping was prompt and good. Rooms were spacious, toilet was good, hot water takes a while to come on but that's because of central heater using solar. Night time there is still hot water from tanks. Views are again, excellent. Rooftop Sunrise View was spectacular, in Mid-October.

Definitely the best place to stay in Nagarkot”
Great hotel, brilliant location, the amazingly helpful manager and his staff are really excellent, and they are serving super Nepali food and drink at bargain prices. Look no further. Stay at the Fort rersort!

Fully satisfied with the view, services, & facilities.”
We arrived in a quiet afternoon and not very busy day. The staff gave us full attention and very helpful in exploring the beauty of the Himalaya's sunset & sunrise. The facilities are a bit of old and rough, but totally fine in such an environment. Food, especially curry, is better than expected. A few new & tall buddings are rising behind, but this is still my best choice.

Wonderful stay with great views and cabins directly on the mountain side admits flowers and butterflies. The rooms where unheated though so we had good use of all the carpets in the room.

A Place to Get Way from it All”
location, rooms and staff service
I enjoyed a wonderful but brief stay. The location offers splendid views of the hills and the mountains. Gardens are lush and well maintained. Rooms are spacious, very comfortable and well furnished. The people on staff are friendly and helpful. I love this place!

the view
Apart from the stunning view this hotel is a moldy dump with a terrible restaurant (over priced) and rude staff. Unless you are in a huge group you'll be overlooked by the staff.

Unfriendly unhelpful staff”
The soaring eagles, the old room and laundry was great
Unfortunately our stay at the fort resort was disappointing we had to cancel our 4 day stay to 2 as none of the activities where available and the staff where very unhelpful, the food was average and it attracted extremely rude guests. You could hardly see the incredible view mentioned as it was sooo hazy all the time. We won't be back

Probably the best option in town but...”
Location, Sunrise, Remoteness
The hotel itself could be really nice but due to lack of guest many things are just run down. The electricity stops after 10 pm but that's the case in many Nepalese cities. I couldn't get the hot water to work but the size and view of my room was just great. If you stay just for a night try to do the nature walk (should be done in 2 hours if you walk slowly) - that's just great! Don't walk to the view tower - it's just far and the view is not that great. Also, you can basically only see the mountains in the morning. After 10 am they tend to disappear behind fog. Bring very warm cloths! It gets really cold at night especially with the wind!
