Small room and thin walls”
With the positive this hotel was in a perfect location in front of a subway station. Very convenient. The staff we’re extremely friendly. The issue we had was that the walls were very thin. We could easily hear other guests in the next rooms. Also when they took a shower the sound was so loud it felt that it was from our room. Also the rooms were extremely small. No room for two suitcases except beside the bed which made getting on and off the bed interesting. Again great location but will try to find another hotel on our next trip to NYC.
Business Hotel in a great location”
This is basically a nice business hotel in an amazing central location. Not touristy and stylish. It's too small for Lifestyle or romantic travel or families- but great for solo travelers.
Awesome hotel!! Location was amazing and staff was very personable and helpful! ”
Loved the location.....room was very nice and clean!!!! Definitely would stay here again!
Worth the money, clean, quiet, easy to get to places by the subway.”
Really enjoyed my stay. The hotel is close to restaurants and shops and it is easy to get around. A subway station is literally right by the hotel. My room was super clean. Staff were nice. Really got no room for complaint wit this price. Internet and the heater worked just fine. I'd come back.
Great Place aside from all the Times Square/5 Ave trouble and still perfectly mobile”
Very friendly and helpful staff. Only the elevator took forever! Overall perfect alternative to Upper Manhattan.
Conveniently located ”
Nice comfortable hotel botique like feel, conviently located , really enjoyed my stay. View from room was nonexistent on lower floors but loft space makeup for that
Cosmopolitan & Fabulous”
The Cosmopolitan is a hidden gem in NYC that I came across in 2002 and I've been staying here ever since. It is fabulous! Located near three different Subway lines in a great neighborhood with a variety of services nearby including spas, restaurants, a grocery store and more. The staff is friendly and go out of their way. The rooms are clean, comfortable and nice.
Poor value for $$$”
Disappointing! Paid $110 the previous night at the Element near Times Sq for a bigger, cleaner room. Over $300 pn for tiny, cramped room with a mini bathroom at the Cosmopolitan.
ok once i got settled”
good location, once they rectified a problem. they knew about my reservation, but did not initially have a room for me. it was extremely quiet compared to other hotels where I have stayed in NY.
Terrible beds”
Not good. We left after one night - hotel is very dated, beds were not comfy at all, rooms were very, very small.
LOVE TRIBECA”
Staff were fabulous, very friendly. Nice to have starbucks right underneath and free printing and internet in the hotel. great location and close to the subway, literally walk outside and once subway stop is right there, walk to the end of the block and another one is there. easy to get all over manhattan and brooklyn. rooms are very small, but for new york standards they were reasonable. the pillows sucked but all in all a good stay and would defineltey stay here again, the price was decent for what you get, new york accomodation is a tricky one for decent priced accomodation
Convenient and pleasant stay”
I chose the hotel because it was close to the gallery I was going to have a show at and the price. Could be better if they had a fridge or offered coffee and tea in the lobby, but I can't complain because there is a Starbucks downstairs and I ate at the french bakery on the next block every morning and bought my water for $1 at the wagon across the street. The location is central to walk most of downtown and over the brooklyn bridge to the park and the subway station takes you uptown to 42nd street in 15 min. My etage room gave me a sense of comfort despite it being tiny. I would definitely stay again.
Cosmopolitan fitted the bill!”
Felt very comfortable and secure. Comfy clean room and friendly cheerful staff. Great location in TriBeCa with excellent subway access and great eateries. Can recommend creeps @Suzettes, brunch @Le Pain Quotidian, supper @l'Odeon and the wonderful9/11 memorial.
The staff was excellent. Great location. Clean”
Great. Ny hotels are expensive and this was relatively cheaper than the rest. Worth the money
Great Tribeca location, nice hotel”
great location ,close enough to subway ,”
The location for this hotel is good , subway is just outside the the hotel . The staffs are quiet friendly . However , the wifi in room was very poor indeed ,especially during the peak time , it was like non-existent ,thank god there's a starbuck around the corner (which the wifi is so much better ). One las thing is that the hotel room is pretty small though (the one that i got ).
The room was comfortable & perfect for relaxing.”
I really enjoyed it. The staff was super nice. The room was very comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.
Very comfy in cool Tribeca & super close to subway”
Stay here was really good. Room was bigger than we imagined for New York & good bathroom. The room was fairly stuffy so we had the fan on even though it was averaging 10degrees! The subway is only metres away and good restaurants + shopping close by. You could here street & traffic noise - mostly in early morning, but really because you are in the room so little it didn't matter. Good option to get out of midtown tourist mecca!!
Very small rooms”
Great assistance from staff in advance of booking however not too friendly in person. This was the cheapest we could find in the area and still not that cheap at all. Rooms were very small.
Smaller room but great location, good price.”
