      A good hotel for family”
      Location is a bit of a challenge since it's like on top of a hill. If you want to go to the nearest fast food or convenience store, you need to walk (downhill and steep stairs) for about 15 minutes. Yes, if you want to go back, you need to walk back up the steep road and the stairs. Not ideal for those with 3 toddlers like us, unless we will not leave the hotel. The hotel has a fitness center and a heated swimming pool. Everybody must wear a swimming cap though. We love the onsen/hot spring, reminds me of Japan. A bit on the expensive side since their toiletries are Hermes brand. The room is big and we have our own big tub with a hot spring water.

      A hotel that you truly feel warm”
      We arrived to The Gaia Hotel around 5pm, I was surprise by their welcome. After the front desk checked us in, he gave us a tour of the hotel in detail while walk us to our room. They don't just give you great service but also with warm smile. The environment is very nice and I indeed enjoyed my room very much, it have this massive bath tub and unlike other hotel, the bath tub water is actually hotspring water. I love the out door hot spring too and the food they serve in their restaurant is so fresh & good (I had hot-pot for dinner). When i was leaving Gaia hotel I was in rush and cannot wait til their shuttle bus time, so we request them to call us a taxi, yet, what they arranged for us is their shuttle bus just for us and take us to the train station. I highly recommend The Gaia Hotel and I will defo come back!

      The staff were very warm, attentive and kind. We booked the Qiyan room but was upgraded to the Fenglin room upon check in. It was definitely a pleasant surprise! The in-room facilities were very good. Breakfast was really sumptuous too! We’ll definitely come back here if we’re ever in Xin Beitou area again!

      My second stay. Everything was lovely like the first visit. The staff are very courteous helpful in a sincere manner. The Hot Spring's garden ambience with 'snowfall' is charming and the hydrotherapy pool with its many varied station is Great!

      I travelled with my family of 3 young children and my parents, right from the moment we arrived we were greeted with impeccable service. - check in was a breeze, staff took us to our rooms and introduced “how-tos” on the facilities - everything in the fridge was complimentary (beer, fruit juice, sparkling water, dessert) and fruits were provided too - movies on demand (recent releases) were complimentary. We could stay in room all day long - hotel provides complimentary shuttle to train stations - comes with breakfast which was not too bad. On our last day we had to leave early to catch our flight and the hotel arranged breakfast for us to take away Overall our family enjoyed our stay in Gaia Hotel and can’t recommend enough as a place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city life, good service and comfortable stay.

      At first I thought a bit pricy for a spring resort in Beitou, but really prefer Japanese naked hot-springs to those where you need to wear swimsuits. Room was really nice. Private onsen a bit too small I think. Library that opens 24hr is a huge plus to me, can bring all the nuts and sweets and drinks from the room downstairs, read and eat at the same time. The sight of the library is impressive also (a bit Beauty & the Beast). Quality of the things they offer are of high end class. Hermes toiletries, Nespresso coffee in room, Lavazza coffee in public onsen resting lounge. Outdoor onsen closes at 10pm, which is a bit too early compare with Japan, and the whole onsen closes at 11pm, which is also too early. Breakfast has many choices, but not impressive enough for the amount paid. Had Shabu Shabu for dinner at hotel, quality was nice, staff very courteous, portion is enough for slightly bigger eater (but may not be for big eater)

      Muslim-friendly property with excellent service”
      We checked in without ever mentioning that we are muslims. They found out upon checking us in, and quickly took the necessary steps to tailor their service to be more muslim friendly. Alcohol beverages were removed from the room, and prayer mats, qibla direction and prayer times for the duration of our stay was prepared for us - all before we stepped into our room. In fact, the hotel took extra steps to provide muslim meal menu, list of halal restaurants and map with transportation options to get to the grand mosque. We ever expected any of these, and were quite amazed at the preparation and level of service provided. The hotel is a short walk away from beitou park, and other interesting places within beitou. The property is very clean and the staff are all friendly. (Big thanks to Yen, who made sure we settled in comfortably). We love the in room onsen and the public onsen.. So much so that we remain within the hotel compound until the next day. Love the library/lobby too.

      This is the good choice for Hot spring vacation. The staff all keep smile in all time towards to us whatever we can not know how to use the TV in the room. The hotel's driver same keep good service with us. This is worth to pay high cost for this hotel as it is free Drink from fridge, free of chg for Movie, welcome cakes and fruits everyday so that we feel so warmless in this moment. It has a short path to go to Museum and famous point to site seeing so that we can save time to go anywhere.

      We stayed at this resort for 2 nights; though the price is quite steep, it is very worth the money, for its onsen at the public area, as well as onsen which is available in our rooms. The resort is also very generous with the minibar items, bottled water, etc. The food being served during breakfast is also very delicious.

      Location is a bit far however there is shuttle bus to train station. Classy facilities and amenities made us feel comfortable. The hot spring in-room is nice as well. Rate was a bit higher but it was worthy.

      The hotel is nice in general but there are room for improvement. The room is clean, the hotel is cozy and the staff are nice. However, the choice of breakfast is limited and quality is disappointing for a hotel of charging at similar rate. The outdoor hotspring area is not good enough. No outdoor bed or chair is provided for resting.

      Love the outdoor hotspring. Our price included Dinner which i choose Shabu Shabu and it was tasty and nice. Staff in Shabu Shabu was very nice and great! Breakfast just so so and below 5 star hotel average in my point of view. food not variety and slow top up. Check out time is 11.00 and most of the customer check out by that time which we was waiting for almost 20 minutes without any guiding from anyone. Lady who check in us inform the wrong shuttle bus time which made is missed the bus.However I still feel that this is the good place to stay in Beitou but need some improvement of service quality.

      It is one of the best hot spring experience in beitou. The food at the Chinese restaurant was very good. Service was generally good. Some staff were better trained. The library highlighted was an impressive design but certainly not a quiet place to read.

      Chinese food is good. Breakfast is excellent. Only disappointed for the children not allowed to go to the public hot spring. So all the adults can't entry (we need to look after the children), we book this hotel bcs of the public hot spring.

      Relaxing onsen hotel”
      Beitou is a nice relaxing place which is 20-30 mins from Taipei main station. very easy access and can get us away from the hustle and bustle. The hotel room is smaller than expected but it still provides a great onsen experience. It's 5 mins walk to New Beitou. All staff are very friendly and helpful. It's indeed relaxing to read a book after onsen. We should have stayed in the area longer as it's close to Shilin, Tamsui and Yangminshan.
