The Hotel is located next to subway station which is very convenient. And we had the nice view which can see the skytree and historical street of Asakusa. We enjoy our stay very well and definitely will choose to stay at the Gate Hotel Asakusa Kaminarimon by Hulic again!!

Excellent Hotel!”
The hotel location is just across the street from the Asakusa Kaminarimon. There are a variety of shopping and eateries in the area. During the day there are a lot of tourist in the area, so its quite busy but not overly crowded; but it quiets down dramatically at night time, which is what we loved. Location wise, there is a subway stop just two blocks away, but the Asakusa line does need some train changing to get to the busy districts (ie.: Tokyo Station or Shinjuku). Its also just two stops away from the Skytree, which were visited. The check-in was quick and smooth. The staff was quite helpful with giving us directions, and had helped made of lunch reservations. There was an upper deck, one flight up from the reception with a beautiful of the Skytree. We had the Twin Room, which was huge for Tokyo standard. All decorations and the bathroom was quite new, the beds were very comfortable. Overall a very pleasant stay! Will definitely return when visiting Tokyo!

Great Hotel and Good Staff”
Hotel location is very good, just opposite the temple of Kaminarimon. There are plenty of restaurants, souvenir shops, pharmacy, supermarket just beside the hotel. Starbuck was located same row of the hotel. next to the hotel is a 24 hours sashimi and sushi restaurant. Just 2 mins walk to Ginza and Asakusa metro station. If you travel from the NRT or HND airport you can save some money to commute with Keisei Narita Skyacess Express line. Drop off at Asakusa station and out to the gate A2b, take the elevator to the ground floor. Then just need to take 3 to 4 mins walks to the hotel. Hotel room size is acceptable and amenity is good, toilet and shower room is dry and clean. Every hotel room has provided the sleeping attire. The hotel staff are very polite and helpful. They speak a good English and response to your request very fast and professional. I was requested a knife to cut fruit in my room, but they refuse to provide the "dangerous tool" and counter offer me to cut the fruits. The chef cut the fruits and decorate it nicely and deliver to my room with free of charge. One of the drawback of this hotel is no airport limo bus to airport. If you travel with big luggage, then you have to drag your bag or alternatively you can courier your big luggage with local forwarder Yamato 2 days before of your departure date which cost about 2.2K Yen for a big luggage, this is really worth it, because Yamato help to bubble wrap your lock and wrap your luggage to prevent the dirt and damage. If you travel light or less than 3 luggage, then I highly recommend you stay in this hotel.

One of the best hotels in Tokyo, very impressive!”
This is one of the best hotels in Tokyo. Located just opposite Sensoji Temple and Asakusa Temple (Kaminarimon Gate), next to a supermarket and Starbucks. Surrounded by shops, restaurants, convenient stores. Close to the shopping streets, subway, and Tobu Line and train to Haneda Airport. Excellent location. Rooms are very spacious and well-equipped. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!!!

Great location and comfortable facility”
I had six pleasant nights at the Gate Hotel, which is practically right across from the Kaminarimon Gate. The hotel is located in the midst of Asakusa, close to the Sumida River and subways entrances, and neighboring many shops and restaurants. For budget traveler, the hotel is next door to a small supermarket. The room is small, nicely designed, and comfortable. However, if one has many luggage, it is more convenient to take a taxi to the C-Cat station to take airport bus to the Narita Airport. Or, many travelers with workable luggage take the subway (1,100 Yen) directly to the airport.

New Hotel”
It is a very great and new hotel. I like the Slumberland mattress and very comfortable Japanese brand feather and down pillows and comforters. I stayed in this hotel 3 nights but I didn't want to wake up for every morning. I came back to my country and tried to purchase the same mattress but the seller said this model is exclusive for hotel only :-( Needless to say the location of this hotel is super good. There are 3 important things to do in Asakusa. Asakusa temple, Skytree, Cruise to Daiba. It just takes 5 mins walking distance from subway station to hotel. Temple and ferry terminal are also 100 and 200 meters from hotel. Please don't waste your time to take any Skytree pictures in the street since the 13/F hotel lobby floor is the best angle to view the tower! ( lobby window is super clean and transparent ...) I really suggest you to choose this hotel in your last few days of your Tokyo trip like me (b/c it is far away from western shopping and nightlife area likes Shibuya, Shinjuku... I would like to thanks Mr/Ms. Erika from the hotel. He/she replied my request point by point after I booked the rooms from Agoda before my trip. It never happen for so many previous hotel bookings from Agoda before. Many thanks for your good service! I will choose this hotel again if I stay in Asakusa.

Awesome Find!”
This is a very cute hotel! My family warned me that I wouldn't find anything decent without paying outrageous prices last minute time during the X-mas/New Year's. I stumbled across this great find on Agoda. Pricing was so amazing that I was afraid I was getting snoped. I couldn't be more wrong! This is not a large, extravagant 5 star hotel, but more of a smaller 4-5 star hotel with good service, amenities and a 24-hour restaurant on the premise with exquisite 4-5 star food and service! Most hotel rooms in Japan are fairly small. The rooms at this hotel are pleasantly larger than I expected, shower and bathing area very nice, everything is very clean and comfortable. Added pluses are the grocery store and convenience market next to the hotel and plenty of great restaurants just a few steps away. I'd love to keep this wonderful find a secret! I love Asakusa, because it's not as congested as some of the Tokyo cities. I will definitely come back here the next time I visit Tokyo again!!

Fantastic, Best stay in Tokyo, will come back”
The staff is friendly and polite, give us a free upgrade of the room as our wedding honeymoon gift, hotel staff helped us to move our luggage into the room prior to check-in ; The hotel is new and well renovated, and I like their artistic design, lobby and sky terrace with amazing city views (sky tree tower); The room is spacious and clean, once again, I love the interior design of the room and the bathroom; The location is good, 1 min walk to the Asakusa station, hotel is just opposite to the famous temple. In overall, we are very satisfied with our stay in Gate hotel Asakusa, we will come back again~~

Fantastic stay with many good memories”
I have stayed for 2 types of room, essential room and authentic room. the room size is the same, just different on the toilet and batch room, the essential room's toilet size look a bit bigger. If you want to save some money, I strongly recommend you to stay in authentic room, the Hollywood twin room look good and comfy! the toilet size and space is good enough for you to move around inside. I will recommend you to stay in this hotel, you can find many good things and professional service from the staff. Outside of the hotel you will able to find the tradition element (which is the Kaminarimon Gate) and modern element (which is the Tokyo Skytree - the view just in front of the hotel).

We enjoyed our stay at The Gate Hotel Asakusa Kaminarimon by Hulic. We have stayed in other places in the same area but we appreciated that the room is spacious at this hotel. And the reception staff are friendly and welcoming.

Modern Hotel with a touch of heritage”
Stayed with my family during the new year. Rooms are huge compare to other hotels in Tokyo. Within walking distance to Asakusa Station/Tobu Line, have direct train access to Narita Airport (have several intervals - therefore need to research before hand; if you miss the train, you will have to wait for a good 40 mins for the next direct train to Narita Airport). I didn't try the food as I require halal meals, however from the pictures, seems good however abit pricing, about 2,200 yen per person for buffet breakfast (generally for 5* hotels in Shinjuku/Shibuya area (main hub), hotels are charging 1,500-1,800 yen per person. Asakusa is like their 'chinatown' therefore you can see several temples and immerse yourself in Japan's traditional culture.

Good view of Tokyo Sky Tree”
We had a nice experience staying at The Gate Hotel. The hotel is within walking distance to Asakusa Station where you can take a direct train to Narita airport/ Haneda airport. The hotel lobby and its terrance offers best view of the Tokyo Sky Tree. Because there is no room service therefore the hotel restaurant opens 24 hours. There is a supermarket downstairs and a drug store next door and further more there are many restaurants and souvenir shops nearby.

Clean and comfy hotel in Asakusa's center”
The Gate Hotel Asakusa Kaminarimon is quite a clean and comfortable hotel in the center of Asakusa. Its very very close to a nice temple and old street, metro station in one of the more cozy neighbourhoods of Tokyo. You can enjoy some nice green tea at the rooftop bar, go running at the Taito river in the morning or visit the temples in the around the place. The room itself (the one I had) did not have a nice view but was very cozy and clean. The price and room size was still reasonable for a Tokyo hotel.

Excellent hotel, great location, superb room cleanliness and Super friendly staffs”
Stayed for 3 nights, the location couldn't be better as it is just 5 mins from asakusa Sunway station and is just opposite the thunder gate. Easy access to all actions around the asakusa region. Room is the most spacious I've stayed throughout my 8 nights in Japan. The only thing to note that if you are having a JR pass like me, you will have to pay some extra money to access to JR stations by first taking the Ginza or Asakusa line to nearby kanda station or Ginza station.

Good location with very helpful and friendly staff”
I had a fantastic experience though only had 1 night stay. Location is excellent, 2 to 3 mins walk from Asakusa subway station exit 5. Given it is almost right opposite the Asakusa temple, there are many shops, restaurants and convenient store close by. Approx 20 mins walk to Tokyo Skytree in a slow pace. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Room is clean and the size is reasonable iby Tokyo standard, with quite comfy bed. Many amenities in the bath room. Will book again next time.

Amazing location for amazing price”
This hotel is centrally located. It has direct access on Haneda Airport and very close to any where you want to be in Tokyo. It is 10 minutes away from Tokyo Skytree and literally across the Asakusa Shopping and Namikase shpping street. It is 5 minute walk from both Asakusa and Ginza Line. If you want convenience 7 Eleven and Family Mart is also 5 minutes from the hotel, there is also market located exactly under the hotel. Starbucks is 2 minute walk and a lot of restaurant 24/7 including Sushi Zanmai. We don't have much interaction from staff except checking in and checking out, but overall memorable experience.

Convenient & many good food choices”
My friend and I have a pleasant stay in the hotel. Reception staff is polite and attentive, am happy that my request for a non-smoking room (original booking was a smoking room) is provided and it is overlooking The Sky Tree! Breakfast buffet selection is limited but the breads are delicious and the freshly-squeezed orange juice is a plus. The location is very convenient with 3 subway lines within 3-4 mins walking distance. We took the Keikyu Airport Line (Express) at Haneda International Airport Terminal 1 directly to Asakusa station in less than 30mins. If you carry a big luggage, take exit A2-b (Asakusa station/Asakusa Line), the elevator will take you to road level. From here, it’s about 3mins walk to the hotel. Same when heading to Haneda, take the same exit elevator to B1, look for another elevator that takes you to platform 1 Asakusa Line. Shops and restaurants, famous ramen such as Ichiran, Ippudo are nearby, two 24 hours sushi restaurants serve good quality sashimi too. Will stay in this hotel again if I re-visit Tokyo.

Lovely hotel - modern and clean and stunning views”
The Gate is in a nice part of Tokyo - a little more traditional than the bustling Shibuya or Shinjuku. These parts are a little far away - but an easy subway trip away which can be accessed by the two stations just 100m away from hotel (asakusa and Ginza lines). In terms of value for money, it's lovely and definitely competes compared to other more expensive Tokyo options. The staff like all Japanese locals we encountered were super friendly ! I would recommend staying here
