The Grace Hotel’s close proximity to all the major tourist attractions in Sydney combined with attentive staff and fair rates make this a top choice. The Heritage-listed 1930s building’s neo-gothic exterior is wonderfully complemented by the Art Deco interior design for all of the guestrooms as well as common areas. Located just a short walk from the popular Chinese Garden of Friendship, The Royal Botanic Gardens, the Captain Cook Cruises, as well as a superfluous quantity of world-class dining options makes this location second-to-none when choosing a comfortable and convenient place to rest your head while touring through Sydney.

The hotel was in a great location, easy walk to shopping and main attractions. The stay was excellent. The head concierge, unfortunately, I lost his name card and the other employees did everything I asked and more. Couldn't have been more helpful. Room was good and they had a sauna, steam, and pool. The gym was OK but small.
Location was excepttional. In the middle of Circular Quay and Darling Harbour. Walking distance in all Sydney tourist spots. Have recommended this to my sister and she booked herself and a friend 2 weeks ago. Will definitely stay again there on my next visit,
Beautiful central hotel”
I had a relaxing 24 hours at the Grace Hotel and really enjoyed the facilities and the beautifully renovated room. The location is great and love PJ O'Briens downstairs. I got a great deal but think their regular rates are a bit too expensive for the callibre of hotel.
Second Stay in the Grace”
This is our second trip to Sydney and have stayed in the Grace both times. It is hard to beat the CBD location as it is centrally located to so many things. Darling Harbor, Queen Victoria Building, and multiple shops and restaurants are in easy walking distance. They are remodeling the rooms which was very nice. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful.
location is great, everything nearby.”
It's just around 5 mins to wynward station and you can walk to darling bay, the rocks area, or circular quay in 15-30 mins walk. Hotel itself is kind of old building but inside the room I don't feel anything old or bad. Quite comfortable bed as well! Would recommend to everyone visiting Sydney!
Great location of the hotel! Close to everything we needed including a train station. I don't have anything bad to say, however I am not sure if I was accommodated the room I paid for. I had booked a Premium King, based on the photos on the website. Upon check in, the room we were given was a Superior King, not sure if because I checked in early, they didn't have a room suitable? Also photos didn't match the room. The bathroom was a little old & dated, not like the bathroom photos on their website. Other than this, a great hotel, in an amazing location, and I was grateful for the early check-in
Great location, some time good offers gives value for money, in general good comfort. But the Breakfast is awful! Better eat in another place. Also select a room looking to street- innner side looking rooms are rather dark.
Great location and well presented - Staff are superb”
I was attending a conference in Darling Harbour. I was able to easily walk there and enjoyed my stay at the GRACE. The rooms were spacious and well appointed with a comfy bed. There is an interesting Italian restaurant that cooks fresh Pasta and Pizza's that are very healthy and thin crusted.
Kathy from Australia”
Clean, comfortable hotel in a great central location. Staff were not overly helpful and some facilities were not as good as they could have been (poor water pressure in shower, toilet flush not always working properly, broken desk lamp) however, overall, a pleasant stay in a gorgeous old building.
Comfortable, spacious, well priced room in a beautiful old building smack bang in the middle of the CBD. The $22 buffet breakfast is a great value feast.
Helpful staff. Wonderful hotel in a wonderful old building.
The minute you walked into the lobby, you'll be amazed at the vintage outlook. It's awesome and Instagram worthy. The room is spacious and clean. Although the hotel is in the heart of the city, it's still quiet and peaceful. If only there is a view out the windows, it would be great. Will definitely recommend this majestic hotel.

Excellent location, full of restaurant options”
Pro - good location, hotel is classic n room interior modern, staff generally helpful esp in concierge dept...7min to king street wharf, 10 min to darling harbour n sea aquarium... Others attraction like the Rocks n operahouse are 15min walking distance.. Con Breakfast booking was a bit confusing. Prebooked a discounted voucher during check in n yet was billed by breakfast staff even after explanation. After breakfast, i make another enquiry n finally got my problem solved..need more communication between reception n breakfast restaurant staff....

Best stays are with Grace”
Location is fantastic. We had a vehicle and parking was no problem. Staff are fantastic. Nothing was a problem and they were always friendly and helpful. Local coffee shops are great and a pleasant evening can be spent at the Irish pub down stairs. Staff at the Irish bub are warm and inviting and you are made to feel very welcomed. Check in and out is seamless. Would recommend the grace to anyone traveling to Sydney. Easy walking distance to most sights and a short walk to the trains for further investigation of the city
Dear Bruce, Great to see that you had a thoroughly enjoyable stay with us on your recent visit to Sydney and that our location was perfectly suited to your needs. I am glad that you also had the chance to enjoy PJ O'Brien's Irish Pub and particularly that the staff made you feel welcome. We look forward to welcoming you back next time. Beautiful, sleek and classy”
We really enjoyed our stay at the Grace Sydney. The staff were extremely professional and still friendly, they catered to all of our needs without hesitation and in a very professional manner. The building has a historic charm, is very centrally located and will be our Hotel of choice next time we visit Sydney. Thank you.
Dear David, Thank you so much for your feedback and the very positive comments you made about your stay. I hope we have the opportunity to welcome you back again soon. Andrew Allen - Hotel Manager
Beautiful hotel with attention to details! ”
Told the hotel we are coming for our 5th year anniversary. The check-in was smooth and easy, and went into the room to see that they have provided us with a complimentary sparkling wine at arrival - what a pleasant surprise!!! Hotel room was beautifully refurbished, the amenities are great, nice pool and gym, with easy access to all parts of the city, definitely coming back again!!!
Very pleasant hotel ”
I was impressed with The Grace Hotel . The staff were very friendly and the rooms were very comfortable . The pool is not particularly large and could have been a bit warmer , but otherwise it's a lovely place to stay .
Good Location & Friendly Staff”
The Grace emits elegant old world feels with its art deco details. All staff we met were friendly, efficient and helpful. Great location within easy walking distance of main shopping area and Darling Harbour. Taxi stand right on the door step and train stations a few min walk away. Wifi was free for all our 3 appliances throughout our 5 nights' stay. No complimentary bottled water but kettle is provided so not a big issue for us. Bathrobes, power adaptor & room slippers are provided upon request. Negatives (mostly hardware & design): Fixed showerhead above bathtub is worrisome for elderly, e.g. my mom. The red power light (I'm still unsure what that was), next to power socket at the pantry, could be better located as there is a high tendency for guests to mistaken it as the switch for the power socket to kettle or other appliances (regardless of a warning not to be turned off pasted at the side). No provision of toothbrush and toothpaste.
I will go back”
The Grace Hotel is a historic building and the renovation work is meticulous and elegant. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed; the beds are very comfortable. The staff are unfailingly pleasant and helpful. The only meal I ate at the hotel was breakfast but it was good, with plenty of options and with well-spaced seating. The location is perfect - close to business offices and shopping outlets (such as David Jones, Myer, Mid-City, Strand Arcade and the Queen Victoria Building). I had considered staying in a less-expensive hotel but that would have meant being on the edge of the city; any saving would have been eaten up in taxi fares. I have stayed at The Grace before and I will stay there again.
nice old building hotel”
Very good location. Easy access to public transportation, shops and restaurants. Nice old architecture, but quite modern inside the room. They provide parking lot for guesses who bring cars but, we have to pay a daily fee charged along with the hotel bill.
