"My husband would love to stay at your hotel next time he’s in Sydney."

The Grace Hotel’s close proximity to all the major tourist attractions in Sydney combined with attentive staff and fair rates make this a top choice. The Heritage-listed 1930s building’s neo-gothic exterior is wonderfully complemented by the Art Deco interior design for all of the guestrooms as well as common areas. Located just a short walk from the popular Chinese Garden of Friendship, The Royal Botanic Gardens, the Captain Cook Cruises, as well as a superfluous quantity of world-class dining options makes this location second-to-none when choosing a comfortable and convenient place to rest your head while touring through Sydney.

Great hotel in the heart of Sydney”
we ended up staying at the grace hotel following agoda's price promotion and are fully satisfied with the result. it's got plenty of health / relaxation facilities - pool, spa, sauna, gym in a nice relaxed environment. and is located in the heart of sydney, within walking distance of darling harbour, chinatown and probably the harbour bridge / the rocks areas. the rooms are spacious and comfortable - they feel like rooms (rather than the standard hotel cubicle that passes for one these days) with comfortable and modern fittings. we were particularly impressed by the staff who were very accomodating and attentive, be it taxi bookings or help with information and directions to nearby attractions. the only minus was the compulsory valet parking (due to lack of space in the city centre) with its steep price, although this is not expensive compared with parking elsewhere in sydney
A stylish 1920s building now a modern hotel”
It's not often you stay in a hotel in your own home town. The Grace was a delight, retaining many of the art deco architectural prompts of its 1920s origins as it was transformed into a quality hotel. The breakfasts are generous (get the pre-paid voucher from the front desk for a big discount). The location makes good shopping, public transport and major tourist attractions (Sydney Harbour Bridge, the Opera House and The Rocks) only minutes walk away. We even did the touristy thing of a Sydney Ferries (public transport) ride to Watsons Bay and back - a few dollars for a closeup look at one of the world's great waterways (and some big bucks real estate!). Only one negative: I detest hotels' attempts at high charges for internet access. $25 a day for wired (WIRED!!) access at The Grace isn't acceptable. The funny blue cable was a blast from the past. Many hotels provide wireless as a free service, or there's always a nearby coffee shop.
World Class Hotel”
Basically i checked in Grace Hotel at their promotional rate and thought that it might be a disappointment as it is really a good catch. Surprisingly, everything turn out just not what i expected. The location of Grace Hotel was right at the heart of Sydney City, walking distances away from Sydney Aquarium, Daring Harbour and Chinatown. There is a 7-eleven right next to the building and you can be able to grab anything in the middle of the night. I would also like to extend my appreciation to the staff in Grace Hotel for returning my phone that i leftover. They DHL express my phone my phone back to Singapore!! Overall, it a great hotel to stay in. I enjoyed my experiences here!
Lovely hotel and services with a smile”
As this is our first time at Sydney, we're glad to choose the Grace Hotel for our accommodation. As the staff are very helpfull and nice to our kids. The hotel's location is near to the Sydney attractions and shopping mall and can be reached in walking distance. We stay at he hotel for 6 days. And one day it happen that I left my iPhone being charged in the room while I was on my way to visit the Blue Mountain, so I just called the hotel asking for their help to un-plug it and keep it until I came back. And at night when I came back to the room my iPhone was perfectly laid on the table. ;o) I thanked to the hotel staff for the excellent services.
the grace in sydney”
i find the grace a semi central location to the sydney cbd close to the queen victoria building just a hop skip and jump to george street myers and slightly further the pitt street mall the p.j obriens is located in the same building providing entertainment/refreshments and fine food a great place to chat with the irish.the cafe at the hotel serves beutiful food but is slightly high in dollar value. the building also houses some speciality shops / hair / nail care and souvenires so enjoy your stay at the grace !!!
Very happy at The Grace”
We were in Sydney for a family wedding - we had family staying all over Sydney so staying in the cbd suited us. The Grace Hotel looked great on the Agoda website and we booked purely from previous reviews - I'm really happy as everyone is spot on, great location, great staff, lovely rooms - we had the most comfortable king size bed! If I could nitpick the tiniest thing - we asked front desk staff about local restaurants and cafes and they couldn't help with any suggestions as they didn't know Sydney, but the staff were very friendly and efficient. We would be happy to stay at The Grace Hotel again in the future.
Great location and great service”
the grace is a classy old style hotel that is very well maintained. we were greeted warmly at the door and by the the front desk staff. our room was very nice and inviting. the bath tub was extra large in size. the lifts were some of the fastests that we have ever been on in a hotel. the location of the hotel is centrally located to the area attractions and shopping. we must speak highly of troy and the concierge services in helping with planning day trips and giving advice about local attractions. probably the only negative would be having to pay for internet that streamed rather slowly. ...but without a doubt, if we would stay in sydney again we would book at the grace.
great location, comfortable, great service”
I had a great time with friends whilst staying at the Grace Hotel. Comfortable and spacious rooms. Dining within the hotel was also excellent. Definitely recommend Grace hotel to those interested in staying in Sydney CBD. Close to main shopping district, cafes, and clubs.
Classy, well-kept & comfortable”
We stayed overnight at the Grace for a wedding, after many years of thinking about staying there and using it as a base for rediscovering Sydney. After finding the agoda price for a room we couldn't wait to spend a weekend at a classy hotel (all dressed up in our fancy black tie clothes - felt very special). We were not disappointed by the high standard of service and friendly staff, although the weather limited our expeditions into the CBD. Overall a great experience that we look forward to repeating soon!
Pleasant, comfortable and convenient.”
We had a very comfortable stay at Grace Hotel during our short trip to Sydney. The room is very clean and spacious. It is quite centrally located and nearby to all major shopping centers. Everywhere seemed to be within walking distance. We will not hesitate to check in to Grace Hotel again, if we are to visit Sydney again in future.
Second Stay in the Grace”
This is our second trip to Sydney and have stayed in the Grace both times. It is hard to beat the CBD location as it is centrally located to so many things. Darling Harbor, Queen Victoria Building, and multiple shops and restaurants are in easy walking distance. They are remodeling the rooms which was very nice. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful.
a warm ambience hotel with great concierge service”
i left my black jacket in the room upon my check-out. after a few calls at the sydney airport with the housekeeping dept, i asked them to send my jacket back to my country. at first, they could not find it as it was left on a black chair and my jacket was also black colour but they later managed to find it. the housekeeping lady devilyn (spelling may not be correct) was very kind to fold it nicely and wrapped up in a box to send back to my country, singapore, by their au registered post. the grace hotel didnt charge me any service fee on top of my postal cost which i am happy to pay for it.
From the Grace Hotel you can walk to all of the major attractions eg Darling Harbour, Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Paddy's Market, Circular Quay, Sydney Tower, Sydney Aquarium and Sydney Wildlife World, Pitt St Mall. Close enough to the Sydney Airport(less than 30mins)
Grace Hotel ”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Grace Hotel on the weekend of the 12th March 2010. Great location within walking distance of major attractions such as darling harbour, sydney harbour bridge and the opera house. We stayed in the corner king suite room which was spacious with modern decor and bathroom. Booking on Agoda was a much cheaper option than booking directly on the hotels wesbite.
Gracious art deco hotel with great service”
I recently returned to stay at one of my favourite Sydney hotels. The Grace is just that, gracious, welcoming and comfortable with a touch of class. For Art Deco devotees its a must. I requested a room with a bath and enjoyed a luxurious soak in the large well appointed bathroom. With heavy rain keeping me indoors I ordered room service and was pleased with the quality of the food and reasonable prices.
Excellent Location - hidden gem!”
I was only in town for one night and staying in Sydney quite often, looked for a hotel near the meeting venue I had to be at. The Grace was the perfect location. A fabulously restored 'olde worlde' hotel but with everything you could ask for. The room was generous, the bathroom as well and everything was perfect. Pricing is excellent. Highly recommended.
Jethro and Jules from Melbourne ”
The Grace Hotel was highly recommended by friend's and it didn't fail to deliver. Loved everything about this Grand Old Hotel, staff, service, renovated spacious room, breakfast and location. We would have no hesitation in recommending The Grace Hotel and would definitely return, when next in Sydney.
Very Nice Hotel and location”
the grace was an excellent place to start our sydney trip - we stayed 3 nights - the room was very clean and the staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. my wife lost her diamond earring in the room and the staff were good enough to find it and returmn to us which says volumes for honesty and great service - we would reccommend the grace for an excellent sydney cbd hotel.
Beautiful, sleek and classy”
We really enjoyed our stay at the Grace Sydney. The staff were extremely professional and still friendly, they catered to all of our needs without hesitation and in a very professional manner. The building has a historic charm, is very centrally located and will be our Hotel of choice next time we visit Sydney. Thank you.
Dear David, Thank you so much for your feedback and the very positive comments you made about your stay. I hope we have the opportunity to welcome you back again soon. Andrew Allen - Hotel Manager
Definitely a good hotel! Worth the stay.”
I had an amazing stay. I needed a night away from my friends so I decided to look for a hotel in Sydney CBD. I was surpised to find Grace Hotel to be so central and affordable, and best yet, the rooms are close to 5 Star standard and cleanliness. Was pleasantly surprised that it is Malaysian owned, by the Federal Hotel Group. More so I am pleased. But the in room dining MUST BE IMPROVED! I ordered the Malaysian Curry Laksa for AUD 15 only to find it is made from Maggi Curry Noodles with some Chicken, Veg and Half a boiled Egg. Come on...Aussies know their Curry Laksa ok...this is certainly NOT IT, what more a Malaysian like me??? Buckle up boys. Make Malaysia proud.
