Nice stay”

Plenty of parking spaces, staff friendly, little run down in places but for 3 star and cheapest price I could find it is everything I needed. Bed was a bit firm and pillows a little lank but did the job. Breakfast was great.

Needs updating ”

Single room very small, shower is very poor pressure, bed is rock hard and very narrow as a single. Food overpriced and breakfast only starts at 7am, so early risers for work will miss out.

Perfect location!!”

This hotel was very clean and tidy, our twin room was spacious, the only thing needed in the room was a long wall mirror, especially for women, it was the perfect location for our stay and Saturday night function, the food was great, our plan is to stay here again x

Exceptional”

We attended a family wedding and stayed overnight. The venue, staff and overnight accommodation including breakfast was excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great Value!”

My room was amazing value and the location was great too and really easy to find. I enjoyed the tasty, free breakfast and would definitely stay there again for that price. My only issue was that the heating didn't seem to work in my room and the hot water was tepid, so I was put off having a bath or shower for the one night I stayed.

Lower floor room, felt like we were in basement. Dreary decor. Broken chain on door, heating not working so they gave us a portable heater. This was supposed to be an executive room. Reception just said we can change rooms for another £20 per night.

Dirty Room”

We stayed here in April and had a super room. Unfortunately on thus occasion the superior room we booked had a temporary heating source. I'd have put up with this if the room had been cleaned. Full bin, unmade bed with dirty sheets! I didn't look in the bathroom for fear of what I might find. The receptionist did find us another room, but the damage was done. We won't be returning.

The Great Barr Hotel Birmingham”

Located 10 km out of Birmingham City, the Hotel caters for a range of guests. The room I stayed in had a single bed, wardrobe, TV, tea/coffee facilities, bath/shower, toilet, basin. A complimentary breakfast was available on the 2 days that I stayed, with a selection of cereals, toast, eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, tomato, mushrooms and fresh fruit. Tea/coffee/juice was also available. The Hotel itself is set back from the main road, and is relatively quiet. However, on the 2nd night of stay, guests in the adjoining room had returned from a night out and were quite noisy until 3:30am, making it difficult to sleep. Other than this, I would recommend this hotel as representing excellent value for money.

Great Place to Stay”

This hotel was perfect for attending atletics event at Alexander Stadium. We enjoyed our one night stay here.

The Great Barr Hotel”

Another good stay at The Great Barr Hotel. Great location for exploring the area and access to the motorway network. Rooms are quite large and have all the usual facilities. Bar/restaurant area good and staff helpful. Buffet breakfast is huge and lovely. Parking is free and secure with the added reassurance of being gated. Highly recommended

The Double Room was a bit on the small side and the bed being only a standard double, and with a well used mattress, was not exactly comfortable. The in room WiFi did not work either.

Very pleasantly surprised for location and price”

One first arrival the sign was a bit tatty and wondered if we had booked a mistake but once we entered the building worry’s disappeared we found a nice cosy little bar with the most friendliest barman whilst waiting for our room . Once in our room it was basic but clean and comfy only con we came across was there’s no iron in the room but pros there’s lots of nice little toiletries and tea and coffee supplies , restaurant in the bar was delicious a nice range of food very quick service an again nice staff . Once in our room for the night due to its location was lovely and quiet no noise at all for a good night sleep in what was a very comfy bed , breakfast in the morning was again met by nice staff an had lots of choice being constantly topped up with fresh foods left feeling very full
