Great hotel in a great location.”
Great hotel in a very good location which is central to all the main attractions. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was very nice and the serviced to a high standard every day. We look forward to returning to New York in the near future and staying at the Gregory Hotel again.

Friendly staff”
The best thing about the hotel is that they have the best group of staff at the front desk. Helpful and very friendly (especially Bogdan). The room is small (just like any other hotel in new york) and cleanliness was only ok. Overall the ambience of the room was not very pleasant but the staff made up for it. So if you’re looking for a hotel in times square area, you will be happy staying here. This hotel is located near macy’s and the surrounding shopping outlets.

GREAT EXPERIENCE”
Wish we could have spent more days in New York. The hotel is awesome and close to public transit. It's located in Korea Town and close to all the tourist attractions in NYC. The staff were very friendly and the rooms are fantastic! Very clean and very comfortable bed.

Lovely hotel close to all, nice stay”
We arrived late and were taken care of efficiently and nicely by the employee. We were assigned room 511, and it was very clean, small, but ok for the 3 of us. The windows are overlooking on a wall, but on the other hand this kept the city sounds quite low. Air conditioned worked very well, despite the fact that it is vey close to one of the bed (that happens in a lot of hotels...). You can still adjust the opening to send the air upward. Shampoo, conditioner and soap are provided in ecological refillable containers that where almost full. In the corridor, the nearby inside door proves to be quite annoying at times since whoever passes it does not hold it and it slams all the time. Hotel should install a mechanism to make it close smoothly. Lights in the room are on the poor side. Since there is almost none coming from the windows, there is a need for more lighting, or more efficient ones. There is no hooks in the bathroom to hang clothes. It is a minor detail, but could be improved.

Great location and value for money!”
Great location and he room is a decent size for NY. If you are planning to spend less time in the room and more time out then this place is the right one. The bed was so comfy! Bathroom was quite small but manageable. Staff are very friendly! Only con was that they don't have people to bring up your laundry or collect r bags during checkout.

Excellent attention and classy ”
It's in a really good location, walking distance from times square, shopping, and subway. Everyone was really warm and attentive with us. The hotel is really really nice and classy, great taste for everything. Definitely would come back and recommend.

Great hotel in a great location!”
The room was very cozy and clean with cool interiors! You can easily walk to herald square, macy's, times square, bryant park, etc. There are lot of good restaurants and fast food joints nearby as well. The staff were quite friendly and accommodating.

Rude staff”
I emailed the hotel regarding an early check in, someone replied that she got it sorted and upon checking in the bald male receptionist said he couldn't give it to me. He told me to come back at 4pm later, which is 2 hours after the stated check in time on their agoda page. While sitting down in the lobby, I overheard him telling another customer to come back at 1:30pm for their check in. But I arrived first? Is he racist? Then upon check out days later I was dealing with this coloured woman receptionist who was expeptionally RUDE. I was getting out my coins to give her an exact change for the extra charges to make the payment process simple and she barked at me "are you trying to make my life difficult?!" Wow some amazing staff training you got there Gregory Hotel. We moved to another hotel Hgu down the road, the interior is so much better than Gregory too. Better service as well.

Good place to stay close to Times Square ”
Great location (can walk to Times Square, MoMa, shopping on 5th Rockefeller centre, quick drive up to other museums), really lovely staff, room was nice, was quite pricey for the quality of the room but obviously it's 5 minutes from times square so still worth it

Great location”
This hotel was recommended by a friend who had used it before. The hotel was not far from the subway and lots of attractions. It was however looking slightly tired , for example inside our bedroom the door chain was not fixed properly. They were kind enough to let us leave our bags downstairs on the day of our departure, as our flight was later on in the evening. But after going our for a walk and sitting down at a table in the lobby, noticed how dusty the table was with small bits of rubbish on it and under it.

NOISY”
We visited New York to see all the major attractions. Location of this hotel is spot on. However, the Superior Rooms all face onto road below, which is exceptionally noisy at all times - day and through the night. Our room also had an aircon unit that needed filter changing, a rattling fridge (that I unplugged) and a sweaty armpit/feet smell (that other reviewers have put previously). Staff grumpy and a bit too quick with handout for the old tip. Would not recommend. Insted Holiday Inn Express (Times Square) - similar price is better value.

Great location, relatively old facilities”
If you like to stay closed to many tourists and shopping and night life, this is a great location. It's closed to Empire State Building, Macy's, Broadway shopping streets, many restaurants and bars etc. The room is fairly large compare with other hotels nearby with similar price. Good comfortable bed. Overally the facilities are relatively old and not as well maintained as I would like it to be, such as the carpet in the room is peel off, the lift and corridor is old etc. Staff is professional and friendly. Overall I enjoy the stay.

Great price at great location near Macy and Empire State. ”
However, please do take note that the hotel will charge you a tailored fee around $20-30 bucks per day during your stay even if you have paid via Agoda. The tailored fee will allow you to have access to the facilities in the hotel, two free water bottles per day, one dry clean item and free coffee/tea in the morning.

NYC Trip”
Nice hotel but very thin walls. We heard someone in the other room going at it. The elevator was scary, so we took the stairs most of the time. The stuffing from the pillow and sheets were flying around all over the room, some were stuck in our hair. Staff was amazing! Location was good but a little scary, if you're walking by yourself. Room size was ok for it being in NYC. Other then that we had a blast!! For the amount we paid for!

Hotel ist nice, clean and well located though the flush didn’t work time to time and they charged additional 40 USD though it was paid within the Agoda rate

Great experience. ”
It is one of the best hotels ever. Clean organized, very friendly people. Edgar is going to help you a lot. In general the customer service and the place deserve 5 Stars.

Average hotel - unexpected charges”
The best thing about the hotel is the location and comfortable bed. Unfortunately the experience was dampened by the unexpected resort fee of close to $150 upon check out, because this is a charge imposed by the hotel with no legal requirement to do so and is hidden from the advertised price I cannot recommend the hotel to others.

Good”
We were excited to be celebrating our engagement and my fiancé’s birthday on this once in a lifetime trip. I did send an email to the hotel before we arrived explaining this but there was no mention of congratulations from staff or token gestures of goodwill at all during our stay. In fact, we found the staff to be quite unhelpful and even rude to a point. Not looking up when speaking to us, no smiles, even not putting down their mobile phone or making eye contact when being asked a question! The room was nice with a comfortable bed and was a good size, however, there were no facilities to make yourself a drink (only tea and coffee down in the lobby from 7-11am meaning no cup of tea in bed in the morning or after a days exploring). The windows didn’t open and the heating was on full blast all week (I burnt my hand on the radiator trying to turn it down), meaning the only way to get the room to an acceptable temperature was to use the VERY noisy air con through the night.

We were there for 3 nights, the first room we got was by the street side, and it was so lousy after midnight, changed to a differnt room, lot better. the staff there were good, and hotel's location is wonderful.
