My wife and I stayed at the Hamilton for our anniversary. I got a great deal on the room somehow, which made it affordable for us. The Hamilton is a lovely old-style downtown hotel with lots of marble and decorative windows and whatnot. For someone who is used to cheap motels it feels ritzy. They have valet parking and a doorman. All the staff were very professional and accommodating. Being what it is, the hotel's hallways are narrow. Our room, however, was relatively spacious and open with a nice layout and stylish decor. Not much of a view where we were, but we weren't there for the view. More importantly, the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom facilities were functional, and the towels were big and plush. We took all our meals at the hotel restaurant, Via Sophia, which we enjoyed very much. We took in a show at the National Theatre, which was a fifteen minute walk. The White House is just a little beyond that, and Franklin Square Park is right next door to the hotel. The parking is not cheap (or maybe for DC it is, but it seemed like a lot), and there were a number of fees that upped the overall cost. Nevertheless, we very much enjoyed our stay.

Great Location”
We stayed for 3 nights and the location was excellent. Walking distance to all the major locations in DC. The room was good. Beds were comfortable. Shower was good and we loved the provided toiletries. We did not go to the onsite restaurant or use anything else in the hotel. We did walk over 10,000 steps a day down to the mall / memorials / Smithsonians etc. Overall a great place to stay.

First Time Stay Did Not Disappoint”
We stayed just one night but it was a lovely time. The hotel was very clean and presentable and a great location to bat. The rate was quite reasonable and great for DC. I would definitely stay here again in the near future.

I really loved staying in this Hotel, it was clean, facilities are great, great value for money and very friendly staff. The only thing I did not like was the $25 tag they put on accessing available rooms before check-in time.

The Hamilton is in a great location to downtown DC and with easy access to all the sites. The staff was very cordial and helpful. Tony, the concierge was excellent to help us select bus tours, options, and advice! Parking around the corner at Franklin Court was very reasonable and easy. I will stay here the next time in in Washington DC!

Check in was a bit difficult as they could not find the booking for one of our rooms but the guy on the desk was so nice throughout and got it sorted. The rooms are huge and so clean. The bed and pillows are the most comfortable I have ever slept on 10/10!!! The bar was very reasonably priced same as in the area and the staff were lovely 5 stars would definitely recommend.. About a 10/15 min walk to all monuments

A nice hotel, centrally located”
I loved being at the Hamilton, and the hotel will be even better when the lobby renovation is completed, (mid- February 2019) and the restaurant renovations are completed, (April-May 2019). The staff is phenomenal and the rooms are spacious.

Overnight stay at The Hamilton”
I only stayed for one night, but wish I could’ve stayed longer. I stayed in the Diplomat Suite and got every penny’s worth of my money. The room was immaculate and spacious. I loved the decor in the living room and bedroom. The bed was huge and the sheets made it feel like I was sleeping on a cloud. The water pressure in the shower was strong and water temperature held steady throughout my 20 minute shower. My only complaint was I reserved a room with a park view, but was actually given a room facing a building. I will definitely be staying again next time I’m in town.
