Great Hotel in interesting location”
The Hanoi Club Hotel is located in the North of Hanoi in reasonable distance between the airport and downtown. The room was excellent, great designed, best features the king size bed and the spacy luxory bathroom. also well, wide screen TV, WiFi, AC. The staff is very friendly, competent and supportive. Every question answered satisfctionally. The breakfast is good to excellent, the room and breakfast staff excellent. The location invites you to real Vietnames urban life, walking at the West Lake, great restaurants and sightseeing points in walking distance. The price is very reasonable for the service you get. also a very nice pool with lake view, a good gym and spa available. The service there incl. towels is also excellent. No comments or prejudices for us as mixed couples Vietnamese/German which we faced in other locations. Yes we will come again!
1st Time in Hanoi”
This was our 1st trip Hanoi to visit our adult son teaching English. Spent most of our time in Old Quarter, but then wanted to stay in Tay Ho area near his apartment. The Hanoi Club was a great choice. Beautiful location on the lake. Large hotel like most in the area. Would choose again with future trips
Upmarket hotel away from the old quarter”
Vietnam isn't famed for it's levels of customer service so when you come across attentive and caring staff you notice the difference. The Hanoi Club Hotel is light years ahead of most rivals in this part of the world when it comes to customer care. Located away from the hustle and bustle of the old quarter it provides a relaxing venue with a good standard of room and hotel facilities. The food is good but like most hotels it is typically expensive compared to nearby restaurants. If your stay includes breakfast make sure you give it a try - delicious.
Fantastic location and a very good hotel instead. ”
I do travel to Hanoi frequently for work. This hotel is a noch better than the hotels I stayed in old quarters (with similar price range). The best part about this hotel is the Gym, small but very lively. A decent sized pool and tennis courts, sauna etc ( I did not try them ). The room ( deluxe) was specious. Internet was fast, and the staff were bit short in English but were smiling, attentive and friendly. Food in the restaurant was not bad but could have been better. Breakfast seem to be in a need of an upgrade. The lettuce was not always properly cleaned. Not many eateries, nearby as well. Food is bit of an issue, if you are staying here for long. I did walk for 10 mins and found some decent fast food joints. I did not try to chinese restaurant at the second floor. The menu looked good but was higher in price range. Location and the lake view from the hotel room was superb. I will stay in this hotel again and would recommend this hotels to friends. Considering its Hanoi and the price tag it carries, I am overall, very happy.
Was amazed on Arrival”
on arrival was amazed by how big the hotel is. the hanoi club is located on the river. is very central to everything. i was given a warm welcome by staff and they were very helpful with information on what to do and where to visit. so many sporting options available, golf swimming squash gym child minding just to mention a few even a swimming instuctor for the kids. the rooms are very very nice with good views of the city or river. loved the bed and pillows and very clean. i would deffinatley reccomend staying here, you can take a walk from the hotel right around the river along the promenade. really liked the street food around the hotel as well. will be back. value for money.
Great service, comfortable and value for money. ”
We loved staying at the Hanoi club. We were even happier when we found a great deal to stay here on Agoda.com. We loved the accessibility of all the services that were joined to the hotel. We enjoyed a facial and massage, a sauna and spa, the golfing range, the restaurant and we really enjoyed our room. Thanks Hanoi club!
Nice Quiet Hotel Overlooking West Lake”
I wanted to stay in another area of Hanoi and preferrably overlooking a lake, and the Hanoi Club Hotel was perfect choice. Located in the quieter, expat area of Hanoi with a beautiful view of West Lake. Driving Range that fronts the lake, nice pool and rooms with beautiful view of West Lake. I especially liked that it was quiet and away from the usual noise of Hanoi. And that I was not awakened at 6am by the usual morning announcments over loudspeaker. Was not impressed though with the buffet breakfast. Nothing spectacular. But the service of the staff was quite good.
Excellent hotel with good facilities”
the hanoi club hotel really exceeded our expectations. the rooms were nice and spacious, the bathroom was very clean and functional and the staff were very helpful. the facilities were also great, especially the fitness centre with jacuzzi and sauna/steamroom! oh and if you happen to be there on a friday night make sure you get down to the arena bar - the live music will blow you away!
A great value stay in a top location.”
We were extremely pleased with the hotel. The hotel and staff made our stay very enjoyable. The hotel facilities were great and met all our needs. The local tour company, Wide Eyed Tours, working from the hotel lobby, organized a 5 day tour package, with guides, that meant we did not miss any of the major attractions. We also went on two Hash House Harrier runs and met some great locals and expats. We have some very good memories of Hanoi and the people and were lucky to have chosen to have stayed at the Hanoi Club Hotel.
This hotel is right on the water of the West Lake. The patio and pool area are away from the street, facing the lake, so it is quiet and peaceful with a nice view and outdoor area--a welcome oasis away from busy Hanoi. The room was clean and very nice for a reasonable price. The lakefront area around it has nice cafes and restaurants. The staff was extremely helpful and spoke English well. The food was good. They have a travel agent on-site who can help with tours, too. I preferred staying here and then traveling to the Old Quarter. An Uber ride to the old quarter cost less than $2 and was quick. However, on the morning of my departure, the Uber driver had difficulty finding the right street and was delayed. Best to book a taxi with the hotel for departure to get a driver who knows how to get there without delay--and the price to the airport they could arrange was actually cheaper than Uber. Overall, I'm very glad I stayed there, and would do so again in a heartbeat!
we stayed at the hanoi club after 3.5 weeks of travelling through vietnam and wanted to relax for the last few days. we were given a lovely room on a high floor and enjoyed the pool, driving range and lazing around for a few days before we headed home. only downside was the xuan restaurant we went to indulge on our last night - the food was good but service was terrible. staff made several mistakes and insisted that they weren't wrong until the manager came over and agreed that we were in fact correct. on top of all that, it was incredibly expensive (for vietnam). not many other restaurants in the area (we walked the streets trying to find some) - eat at the cafe downstairs, it's much better.
Good value hotel with very helpful staff”
A very enjoyable stay. Hanoi is a fascinating City, with many interesting tourist attractions most of which are in easy reach from the Hanoi Club. The Club provides a very nice "oasis of calm" in what is otherwise a chaotic and sometimes noisy city. Staff very helpful, e.g. when a taxi was late arriving they dealt with it efficiently and got the fare reduced.
great view on the lake - a good change”
a bit of change from the busy hanoi city center, this hotel is also the sport club of vietnamese and expats. beautiful view on the huge lake, from most of the rooms and from the pool; you'll have access to the pool and the gym but also to the tennis and squash courts and can even hit a few golf balls into the lake. great hotel if your kids need to relax from buzzing hanoi in late afternoon (pool, indoor & outdoor playground...). you can extend easily for late checkout until 6pm and they also helped us when we needed a room from 5am (train return from sapa) until 12 !
Great staff, lake view and comfy room”
There was a disconnect with my airport transfer, but the staff was apologetic and that was enough for me; remember to include your email contact when you specify your booking/rooming needs. Hotel was in the lake district, which was where I needed to be and the journey to the airport takes about 30 minutes. I found the two public taxi companies Airport Taxi (white colored taxi) and Mai linh taxi the most reliable taxi-metered services; I was scammed by a smallish taxi (whose brand I can’t remember) whose ‘doctored’ meter charged twice the fare for the return journey. Get a local or the hotel concierge to help you pronounce your destination accurately. Breakfast was satisfactory: muesli, fruits, a la minute eggs, toast, fair variety of breads, cold cuts and cheese, salmon sashimi, 2 kinds of sausages and a local Pho cooked-to-order station. There is a Lake Driving Range, where you hit your balls into the lake; the breakfast room looks out into the lake and this driving range. The room was a comfortable, clean and comfortable, as depicted in the pictures. I was also very grateful to the housekeeping staff who was sent to my room to iron my jacket, tie, shirt and pants on the spot (for my next day meeting) that had been crumpled by my lousy packing. There were a few eateries within walking distance but I did not sample these. I would give a thumbs up for this hotel, given its price.
Great hotel and great value for money”
Hi We stayed in the hotel for one night, check-in was easy, location was beautiful with the view of lake and pool. It's in a beautiful and quaint neighborhood of Hanoi (hard to imagine that :)). The staff was very courteous and helped with the luggage. They gave us an extended checkout to by 3 hours and ride to airport was about 40mins in traffic. Breakfast was about ok but I also didn't eat meat so my opinion differes from other travellers. I would stay here again, its 4 mins from Intercontinental which was twice the price.
Good service, good location and nice accomodations”
My wife and I stayed there for a week, as I was on business in Hanoi but we did fit in quite a bit of sightseeing, cultural visits and time at the pool. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about transportation, dining and local things to do. We loved the location -- great for taking walks around the lake. It was a little off the busy, noisy part of Hanoi but with easy access to all of the hustle and bustle of the city. I have been to Hanoi a few times and I would definitely put this place at the top of my list for my next trip -- for business or pleasure.
A fantastic breath of fresh air in Hanoi,”
This hotel was a highlight of our stay in Hanoi. A wonderful place to stay and only about 10 minutes fron the old quarter of Hanoi, in a taxi. A lovely walk around "West Lakes" as well. The staff were all wonderful and looked after us extremely well. Rooms were very well maintained and extremely clean and well appointed. When travelling into the old quarter take a business card of the hotel's address so the taxi drivers are aware of where you are staying.
Excellence choice for Upscale hotel”
This hotel locate in very good location, quite but not far from center Hanoi. View from balcony overlooking Westlake is fantastic. In room facility is superb, modern, brand new. I rate this property 4 stars for Staff and Facilities just because it lacks some of the class from international brands in general, but every single aspects are up there very good, worth the price you pay
Peace away from the bustle of Hanoi”
i stayed in the hanoi club hotel during tet new year holiday. unfortunately all the amenities of the hotel (bar, golf driving range etc) were closed for the holiday. room was very comfortable, a good size and the view over the lake was excellent. the staff on duty were all very polite and spoke excellent english. i would go back to this hotel again but not during tet !!
Great hotel staffs they are hospitable.”
I highly recommend this hotel. My 3 nights of stay in hotel was awesome. The hotel staffs are hospitable and have a good attitude. They have a good customer service. The place is near the city area and it is not hassle to go outside to see some tourist attractions as it is near to the city area. The room is nice and good. Very relaxing place to stay. I would probably come back here when I plan to visit Hanoi again.
