The Hans Coco Palms Hotel is located near the shore of the Bay of Bengal in Puri, and most of the 36 rooms offer a magnificent view of the waves crashing upon the shore. Puri is home to Lord Jagnnatha, and as such, this area is a major tourist attraction. The rooms are furnished with elegant decor as noted by the Italian marble bathroom, and the facilities are all commendable. For business travelers, the conference hall is well-equipped with many features that will allow 15 people to exchange information on the topic at hand. Once business is done, all can go to the poolside restaurant for a meal or a drink.

The property has lush green lawns, proximity to a private beach but around 2 kms from the main beach. The hotel has well maintained lawns and a equally well maintained pool. The rooms are also well maintained, though the washrooms could have been bigger. The lobby is big for a hotel of its kind and the food served is sumptuous thought the breakfast spread could have been better. only the amenities are not something great to write about, like the towels at pool were old and so were the bath robes provided after asking for the same for about 4-5 times. and the room slippers never made it to the room. But except the last hiccup i had a wonderful Stay at the Coco
Good property but toilets were a let down”
So the positives first. Location was great, the pool is probably the best in town. Food was delicious and very reasonable. The rooms are fairly big and clean but unfortunately the toilets were old and run down. For the money we were paying that was a let down. If the Hotel can work on that small aspect i would rate it much higher.
Comfortable hotel with good room and housekeeping. Just over the road to the beach location and very nice restaurant (ate here most of the time and very much enjoyed the food). I would stay here again without hesitation.
Hotel is not very accommodating when requested for a late checkout although we had checked in late at 11 PM, they just gave us one hour extra to check out at 9.00 am, so essentially we paid two days price for just 1.5 days. Room is pretty small and if you ask for an extra bed, it feels very congested. Restaurant food is pretty average, breakfast lacks continental choices like oatmeal or indian choices like dosa. This is an ok choice if you cannot get other options in the area.
Quality of food could be improved. We have had better food in this hotel in the 90's and in 2000's
Location is very good, on the beach. Cleanliness found everywhere. Food is very good. Restaurant ambiance fine. Bed linen and towels were well cleaned and odor-free. Breakfast spread was average and need additions. Restaurant and room service staffs are very courteous and friendly. Check-in was slow and so the check-out. Toiletries were few and need additions. Overall I am satisfied.
It's been a great time there. The ambience is beautiful and I wish to visit again. ”
Everything is well maintained. Perfect ambience. Good stuff. But maybe you could give more offers next time since it's a little pricey.
Rooms and toilets need lot of improvement , but garden, swimming pool etc are very well maintained.
Great pool but dated rooms”
Pros is definitely the very good pool setting and location. However we could not have breakfast by the pool. The rooms and hotel is dated and poorly maintained. Considering the cost of room l would expect more.
Best stay in puri”
The resort is simply the best with helpful staff and good facilities. The resort is clean, food is good with staff who are willing to help you at all times. We're travelling with kids, and they had great fun just being in the pool and playing in the resort playgrounds. The only downside was we could not get the WiFi connected, but then its better you dont have internet during your holidays, which actually forced the kids to carry on with other outdoor activities. The beach is just across the street from the resort and it is comparatively less crowded than the rest of Puri beaches. Again we could not stay in waters longer this time, as the kids got stung by jelly fishes, which is what the water was infested with and also which was quite a surprise to find in Puri. Other than that I can definitely count the Hans CoCo Palms stay to the list of our best holidays!
The hotel claims to be 4 Stars. But, actually they are not even worth 2 stars. 100% cheat and just trying to bite extra money all the time. ACs not working, adulterated food, unclean rooms and unclean and smelling plates and glasses. While booking they say FREE WIFI, but, once you check in they say WIFI is payable. Substandard breakfast. One finds even water added to milk. Bathrooms are not cleaned. Awful smelling bathrooms. Looks like you have checked in a guest house and not a decent hotel. Rates are exorbitant for each and everything.
Best hotel in Pury!
First let me start with the negatives..cafeteria is absolutely pathetic.. Very unclean and unhygenic..food is also so so and very miss able... In fact our very first lunch we wanted to go outside n have because the cutlery was so dirty...2 out of processed 4 stars fell off the sky right there...Next rooms..good furnishing but awfully small n congested for a professed 4* ...no facilities for family with infant stay...the toilet was stinking and we had to call house-keeping for another cleaning run which they were gracious enough to do...the room AC was good so were the showers in the bathroom which was again small for a 6 footer like me...landscaping, foyer, lobby were attractive and ala Spanish architecture...spa was with good massuese ...pool was decent with a mini bar which looked too dirty to try out...plusses...very good location, bang on the beach...very close to pivotal points ( Swargdar, Puri Jagannath Mandir)...
Hans coco palm. A beautiful property. ”
We had gone for Darshan And it was a comfortable hotel. Keeping the view from a tourist aspect. The town of puri doesnot have any other option. So the rates of the hotel comparitively are higher. Over that a pic n drop from bbi airport is also a cost factor. Thus tourist from north n other parts of the country do not opt for puri as a tourist destination. Mostly people come here for mythological purpose which gets completed in 2 days. Most tourist if given variety of comfortable option would throng this beach town. As the beach of puri is best with Golden sands when compared to Goa beaches which are rocky and has black sand. Even the water is much cleaner than the arabian sea. The Odisha tourism dept should explore options to attract tourism
Hans Coco Palm - Definitely Recommended”
We had visited Hans Coco Palm resort as a group of 4 and spent 2 nights and 3 days at the property. Overall we had a very pleasant stay and the positives far outweighed the negatives. We were really impressed with the maintenance and upkeep of the property. The swimming pool is fantastic and the bar stools in one corner of the pool (and in the pool, yup IN the pool) made for two fantastic early evenings. All the hotel staff members were courteous and polite. Food quality was excellent – I would personally recommend trying both their Indian and Continental cuisines. The Breakfast buffet was lacking in variety and can be worked upon to match the overall food standards. Also, burgers and pizzas are clearly not their strength areas; I suggest staying away from their fast food section and instead focusing on main courses. They have a beach which is connected directly to the hotel. Being in one corner of Puri (well almost), the beach outside their hotel is relatively less crowded unlike most of the Puri coastline. The rooms were clean; each of them had an adjoining balcony (we lived on the first floor) which was excellent. My greatest concern with the hotel was that they did not have free wifi available. While wifi services could be purchase, the wifi connectivity was available only in the Lobby area. Which meant that it was impossible to access wifi from our hotel rooms!! This was extremely disappointing, archaic and was probably the only black spot in an otherwise excellent holiday experience.
A holiday I really enjoyed”
Very comfortable stay. We really enjoyed the personalised service in the wonderful settings. Had a wonderful holiday.
Excellent hotel , but can still be better”
Excellent hotel. Been to puri several time. This is probably the best hotel in Puri we have stayed in. Only minus point is the restaurant is bit on the expensive side. Couple of points which the hotel management can consider: first of all, the buffet breakfast could have been better. Only nonveg item in breakfast was egg. With a hotel of this standard, I was expecting Bacon, ham, sausages etc for breakfast. Secondly, the toiletries should include a shaving kit and toothbrush and paste considering the room rent
We had the most enjoyable stay. Sadly we arrived late at night- so couldn't enjoy 2 full days, but we were welcome to use the pool and relax after check out, which was lovely. Highly recommend to stay here. Helpful and friendly staff. Good rooms. Seafront is under major roadworks but this does not extend to Hans Coco Palms at the time of our visit. The short walk from pool to sea is fine- security guard on gate ensures hotel lifeguard sees you. Important to use him- even if good swimmer - very strong undertow but sea is wonderful. One of our 'go back to' hotels!
The place is very nice with all modern facilities. The location though slightly away from the main city has ample connections. Wifi was not free & there is no private area on the beach. But in all a great place to stay and enjoy very tasty food. The pool is the best place to soak up some sun in Puri.
Excellent Stay ”
